Hinata is a five-year-old girl who believe it or not was an 88-year-old grandmother who has been reincarnated into a new form. In her kindergarten class, she is definitely more different than her peers as she’s more knowledgeable, less energetic and sits differently. However, she slowly becomes more social with them through helping a stray cat, changing her wardrobe and celebrating her sixth birthday.
“GGHC” has a very odd but interesting premise that delivers very nicely and adorably. Hinata won me over with her unique personality that keeps making her story great while we also get a few glimpses of her past life. An amazing start to her granny story. A (100%/Outstanding)

This is such a stinkin cute manga - the art and story are both wonderful. I'm really excited to read the rest! It's a simple slice of life story about a grandma who was reincarnated as a baby with all her memories intact. The chapters feel more episodic overall, which isn't usually my favorite thing, but I think it really works here.

What a cute, sweet, beautifully-written manga. Is there an anime of this manga yet? An 88-year-old grandmother dies and her soul goes into a newborn baby. This baby is considered a genius because, as a newborn, she can make origami cranes. As a 5-year-old kindergartener, little Hinata acts more like a granny than a little girl. She is always telling her little friends, her big brother, and her parents that she "read them (the ideas) in a book"! This is absolutely the cutest book I have ever read and will be reading volume 2 next. I gave this book 5 big fat stars and would have given it more stars if I could have!

A child's 88-year-old memories
This is a beautifully drawn, wonderful slice-of-life story based on the idea of What would it be like to be reborn knowing what you knew in the previous life. And having to keep it a secret. Toyo was the kind grandma we can wish we had. Now the old-fashioned Hinata-chan tries to live that kind of life forward while limited by a child's still growing body and dependency.

Cuteness Overload!
Toyo Miyoshi was an 88 year old woman who helped raise her grandson but when a traffic accident put her in critical condition she found she lived a good life and was ready to let go. Little did she know that this was not the end of her journey as she found herself inside the body of a newborn infant with her memories intact (No sign of trauma from the aforementioned accident though.) Now 5 years old she has had some time to get used to this new life and new name thrust upon her as she tries to fit in with the other children around her even though she often acts more like an old lady and has knowledge from her old life to help with everyday problems.
With a balance of youthful drive for friendship and a kindly grandmotherly vibe it is often amusing to see Hinata react to things such as when her brother introduces her to 3d movies, her friends try to spice up her wardrobe choices, and even something as simple as festivals and fireworks. It is a heart warming series and although it seems Hinata has a good life now it is possible like a ghost haunting the living that she might not be done with her old life quite yet as the fireworks remind her of the past.

"Granny Girl Hinata-chan" is a great take on the 'old soul' sentiment.
An 88 year old grandmother reincarnates with her memories intact because of the lingering regrets surrounding her relationship with her grandson.
There are other reincarnated souls in this story. Nice writing for both. Chapter 82 was a surprise.
Unforunately, the MC doesn't ever go out of her way to convince people she's actually a grandmother. Everyone brushes over the shift in Hinata at the end of the story too... I'd freak out a little if my child just became a COMPLETELY different person overnight.

Silly but cute
This is the first time I've read a story where it was an old person who was reincarnated. It's kind of funny seeing a small child act like that. But I like that she's also learning why kids act the way they do and slowly being more child like herself, allowing herself to have fun. I'm honestly more curious about the other girl who remembers her past life, and why she's so solemn. Definitely a fun book.

I didn’t find it very believable that she was so unfamiliar with modern amenities. I know she was 88, but it made it seem as if she lived like a hermit. I suppose that’s possible, but it wasn’t established. Also, she has spent six years in this world and should have slowly acclimated to these new things. She honestly didn’t seem that nice as a grandmother since she didn’t listen and also was pretty mean to cats. I wasn’t very happy when she threw them out of the kindergarten.

Granny Girl Hinata-chan is so cute! I love the idea of reincarnation memories still being present. Hint is so adorable as a 6 year old granny. I am going to continue on with this series, as long as it's published!

This was a really cute, simple manga. I think I can read the whole series with unlimited…. That would be nice.

Cute!
Very cute! I thought Hinata was adorable! An old soul for sure! I couldn't have asked for a cuter story. All the kids and the daily life of Hinata is fun and adorable. I definitely want to read more!

This was a cute, simple read. The only reason it’s 3 stars instead of 4 is because the MC hates cats. That immediately knocks points on her likability for me, but I’m sensing a cat-loving arc in the future. I also wish I got to see more of her brother.

I really like this manga and the main character because she is slowly learning and changing in new ways.
I also like that she is not the only reincarnated person and that she wants to make sure everyone is happy but still experiences her own happiness and joys in life.

I like slow slice of life!
So this is right up my alley. Old lady skips Granny Meng's soup of forgetfulness and goes straight to being reborn. The story is kind and cute and I enjoyed reading it.
