“Emotional and suspenseful. Just when you think you can finally catch your breath, you realize it’s only the beginning.”

Our story isn't like other love stories. We weren't destined to live out a "happily ever after." Our lives didn't get wrapped in that package. No, our story ended before it even had the chance to begin.
When I first saw Hannah at a party, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. I needed to talk to her. Laugh with her.
I needed to know her.
...But then she was gone.
When I finally found her, she was in the woods. Battered. Broken. I kept her safe until the ambulances came, though I couldn't leave her.
Somehow I knew it wasn't the last of her horrors. Her pain.
Somehow I knew it was only the beginning.

A. R. WILE IS A CANADIAN AUTHOR who writes dark romance novels that combine characters with troubled pasts, sarcastic and witty banter, as well as an enthralling battle for a well-deserved happily ever after. She lives with her husband, two children and four fur babies. When she’s not writing or spending time with her family, she’s obsessively reading any books she can find, singing, or finding more ways to be creative through digital design.
I was so excited to read this series that I purchased all 3 books. I truly wish I would have waited until I read the first book to see whether or not I would enjoy this series. It's just not the series for me. Hannah and Gavin were okay characters, and I even liked Ryan. The thing that bothered me about this story was that the author passed over things so quickly when they happened to the characters that it didn't give me time to connect or even sympathize with them before something else happened. The feelings Hannah and Gavin felt for each other wasn't believable at all. Gavin's father came back into his life and things were okay just seemed too fast after how he felt. There were a lot of parts in this story that was repetitive. I was not surprised at all when it came to Gabby and the role she played. It killed me that instead of letting the cops handle Matt, Gavin kept trying to handle things himself and always ended up getting injured. The story ends with a cliffhanger but it didn't leave me wanting to read the next book in this series. I will be removing the books from my kindle.
