Chance Rapids #3

Accidental Chances

Repeat after me:
Never, EVER, fall in love with your fake fiance.

Oh, Please. That's the easy part.

Why? Well, I hate him.

Sure, he's hot and his abs could make a washboard jealous, but he's also arrogant, cocky, and worst of all, a player...

Now, we're stuck playing house in Chance Rapids; faking it for his family - and the small-town rumor mill.

That means putting on a show: kissing, holding hands, and gazing into his crystal blue eyes - but that's where it ends.

Nope. There's no way I'm sleeping with him.

This is a business arrangement, and I don't mix business with pleasure.

But, tell that to the butterflies in my stomach, the ones that go wild whenever he touches me.

I think I'm Screwed.

What do you do when your fake relationship starts to feel real?

Accidental Chances has all the small-town feels you love: canoes, cabins, and loads of flannel shirts. This is the third book in the Chance Rapids Series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!

Very good romance and very good reflection on our image and social networks.
I loved this story, which on the one hand is a simple romance, but on the other side opposes the images that people make on social networks, to life as it is. The author has succeeded her character Serena, because I hated her behavior, and A.J.Wynter managed to make me love this character who seemed superficial.
The story is well written the characters are excellent: their meeting is far from being an instalove and is even the worst date that the hero, Freddie, has ever had. He thought he had a real date with a "star" of social networks, Serena, and he discovers that he is only arm candy that accompanies her for her publicity. However, when they both need money and a group sponsors them for their engagement, they decide to pretend against money. But if Serena is only a perfect image on the networks, her reasons are less futile, and Freddie is not the type to pretend, which complicates their situation.

This book is fantastic! AJ takes the reader back to Chance Rapids and this time it's Freddie's turn. He and Selena meet on a date for a film festival that his brother Logan was supposed to take Selena to. He backs out when he gets together with his girlfriend Charlotte who dumped a bottle of champagne over Selena's head when they first met. Now Freddie is taking Selena and he doesn't really want to. He thinks she is shallow and self centered. The photos from the festival are amazing and social media has the two dating, leading to an offer from a jewelry store to be their new ad couple. Selena needs the money to help her comatose dad and when Freddie's truck dies, he agrees as well. He doesn't look at the contract before signing it though and finds he has to spend a lot of time with Selena. It doesn't start out well but when she comes to Chance Rapids for the weekend, things start to change. Freddie starts to see her for who she really is and the two end up getting closer. A run in with Charlotte's town nemesis, who has her sights set on Freddie, and some harsh words from Logan, sends Selena back to the city with a broken heart. In the end, Charlotte gets the two to see what has been right in front of them all along - that the two were meant from each other. Selena returns to Chance Rapids to give the town and Freddie another chance that ends up giving them both what they want - a very happy ending.

I am volunteering my review for an ARC copy of this book.

This is book three in the series, as much as each book is its own story/couple, the characters are connected and it all takes place in Chance Rapids. I highly recommend the series, it will leave wondering if Chance Rapids exists and want to be a Rapidian. This story is Freddie and Serena's business/date. The day finally comes and Freddie has mucked up a couple things, forgot to rent the car/driver and it is a little on the disaster side. The evening ends early and they go their separate ways. However, the photos from that night of the two of them are amazing and spark some interest which leads to a fake engagement, a contract including an NDA , a well needed pay out and of course heartbreak. It all comes down to miscommunication and past ghosts that challenge this journey to HEA for Freddie and Serena.
Do they figure it all out and make it work or does it all explode? Enjoy! I cannot wait to see what happens next in Chance Rapids and which or our wonderful still single characters gets bitten by the love bug next. :)
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC from the author. Thanks AJ for another great read!

Take a chance!!

This is book 3 in the Chance Rapids series and I absolutely LOVED IT!! I've been waiting for Freddy's story since book 1 and have been chomping at the bit since book 2 but this blew all expectations out of the water! Serena was so much more than I ever expected her to be and much deeper than anyone knew, a perfect match for Freddy. Will we see more from Chance Rapids? I sincerely hope so!

Two Broken Souls Heal
By Korkoi

It appears this book is just as out of this world as books one and two. It has a intriguing storyline, with awesome characters, lingering touches and passionate moans, which leads to a satisfying happy ending. A really captivating story, that will grip you from beginning until end and leave you wanting more.

I received an ARC of this book from Bookfunnel and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved it!! I laughed, and at times I teared up. The best part was Freddie, I really loved him. His clueless moments were endearing. I enjoyed reading Accidental Chances by A. J. Wynter and certainly recommend it to everyone.

Serena is a social media influencer given the opportunity to make some quick money due to attending a film festival with Freddie, long story but he’s the brother of a sportsman she was supposed to go with but he recently reconciled with his first love.
When they are offered a deal with a diamond company for online exposure they have to be engaged for the next two months.
The only problem is that Freddie can’t stand her, nor she him.
However as they get to know each other he realises her social media persona is not the real her.
As he slowly peels off her layers to the real Serena he realises he’s fallen in love with her, she mirrors him by falling in love with him.
Great book and I really enjoyed all the characters.
The only thing missing for me was him meeting her dad and Logan apologising to her.

loved it!

I think Freddie is my favorite Chance Rapids character so far. He’s such a massive sweetheart, but luck isn’t always on his side. So no wonder he ends up with a complicated fake relationship, just because he needs to get his truck fixed! Serena is a social media influencer, so to most she just comes across as shallow and empty, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had a hard life of loss and grief. So when a diamond company offers her a contract for exclusive content and a huge payout it’s just what she needs to help her dad and she knows just where to snag herself a fake fiancée!

As much as I love Freddie, he did anoy me with some of his behaviour and Serena sudden turn around stretched things on the believable scale but it was a sweet story and I did wonder from a past book if Freddie would end up with someone different especially after the champagne incident Serena was not at all likeable, but perhaps the right person brings out the best in you? Or at least make you realise what is important its a shame the didn't fight harder for each other and needed so much help!

Fun and aweet

Freddie is a sweet guy and you want him to find love. Serena is the most unlikely person for Freddie. After lots of ups and downs and dealing with his stupid brother, things finally click for them.

3 Fake-Love, Or Is It? Stars

Accidental Chance is the third book in the Chance Rapids series by A.J. Wynter.

Serena Cruise, an instagram sensation, goaded a date with Freddie out of Logan in the last book. “Date” might not be the right word, in her eyes it’s just business. He’s her arm candy for the night. Freddie Brush, on the other hand, has been building this rendezvous up in his head since the moment it was concocted. Having run through all the possible dating hopefuls supplied by the Rapidian citizens, he’s ecstatic for someone new to step into his life.

After their encounter on the red carpet of that film festival Freddie’s no longer sporting starry eyes at the prospect of Serena and his future. Except, Sidney’s, a famous jeweler, comes out of the woodwork looking for beautiful couples on their way to the aisle and “I Do’s” to sport their dazzling diamonds. It takes some convincing for Serena to get Freddie to acquiesce to a fake engagement, but with the big pay-out on the horizon for both of them once the contract is signed they both put their best face forward in the form of some award-winning acting to sell their love. The question is; can they keep this arrangement all business or will all the pretend start to drag them in to what they could be?

Although, I really enjoyed Serena and Freddie’s story it didn’t feel as real as the last two books Wynter has showed us in this series. And without the added gloss from a smooth and realistic rom, all those writing errors stood out in contrast. Mostly it was just struggling to identify when someone was talking from the narrative, without those handy (“,”) to identify the characters speaking. As well as a few mistakes in which characters were doing what. All easily taken care of with an editor. Not too upsetting.

A city girl and country boy......

Freddie is a small town electrician who loves his job and his small town. Serena is a city girl, an 'influencer' who spends all her time on her phone, taking countless photos to post just a few for her many followers, getting paid to promote brands. They could not be less alike but are going on a date after meeting through Freddie's hockey god brother, Logan, in the second book of the series, One More Chance. At least, Freddie thinks it is a date but he couldn't have been more wrong.
Both Freddie and Serena are experiencing money troubles and an opportunity presents itself for them to earn a sizeable sum each but there is a major catch, one which could change their lives.
Freddie appeared in the first two books of the series and he is an endearing character. This story revealed his back story and gave him his chance to shine. Serena appeared only briefly in One More Chance and did not give the best of impressions. She now has a chance to tell her story and also shines. The rest of the Chance Rapids characters make appearances in this book and it was lovely to see how their lives were progressing.
This is a great story with hidden feelings, misunderstandings, emotion and angst, and an overall warmth to it. It is definitely my favourite book of the series. Now I want to read Lauren's story.

I love this entire series and though each book is a complete satnd alone do yourself a favour and read them, all

This is a total opposites attract story Freddy is a small town electrician whose brother Logan is a hockey player He is supposed to take Selena a influencer on a date but Logan as got back with his girlfriend so he asks Freddie to go instead. It isn't a success they can't stand one another but photos taken lead to them been offered a contract to act as the couple in a jewellers advertising They both need the money her to pay her fathers medical bills him because his truck has broken down. As they spend more time together they actually learn more about one another and begin to click but when a misunderstanding and interfering exes cause Selena to flee back to New York will they have any chance at a HEA You will have to read to see

This was fantastic new heartwarming story from AJ Wynter. Serena is a social influencer attempting to help her father but dreams of finishing her design degree and starting a family. Freddie is an electrician who is tired of the one night stands and want to find a woman with substance. When Serena and Freddie meet, they can't stand each other until they begin spending time together and they realize, they're more than the other realized. Accidental Chances is filled with secrets, a fake engagement, heartache, passion, friendships, family, and love. This is a captivating must read with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I really loved reading this new book. I hope Lauren can get her own story.

I was reading along. Perfectly content. Thinking it’s going to be a cute little story. Then Freddie got in Stacey’s car and “she was going bright and early to get her welfare check”.

Ok. So only alcoholic mean girls would be on welfare. I’m ok with that being what we do to her. But here’s the thing. In this modern age of technology you don’t get a check. Social security doesn’t get a check. It’s allllll electronic. So not only are we acting like being on welfare is a fate worse than death, but we can’t get the facts right.

This book was down right funny and loving. There were so many goodness with Freddie and Serena. If you're read the previous books, you already know that Freddie is a sweetheart and much fun. In this book we got to know him better.
Serena is definitely a surprise lol. There's quite a few surprises in this book.

I really liked this entertaining small-town read. Freddie and Serena are great characters with lots of depth and their chemistry is steamy and sweet. They are supposed to be playing house but what will happen when sparks between them begin to fly. Fun, sweet, steamy and entertaining. I really liked it.

We finally get a chance to read Feddies story. Freddie is an electrician who is a sweet and quiet man. He is set up by his brother with social media guru Serena.
Both are opposites and their different philosophies and misunderstandings make for angst on their road to a HEA.
Glad to see more of these two. Love the Chance Rapids setting and population!

This was my least favorite of the series. I did not like Serena, she was very annoying in the beginning and Freddie was so fun in the other books. I feel like she changed him. I enjoyed seeing the other couples. There are a lot of editing errors as well, like it was rushed through. So many " marks missing and just missing or wrong words that are very distracting.
