Dick Sutphen is President of the American Board of Hypnotherapy, and the author of the million-copy reincarnation bestseller, You Were Born Again To Be Together (Simon & Schuster Pocket Books). Mấy thể loại sách tâm linh kiểu này luôn cuốn minh đọc lắm nha, nhưng kiến thức và cách giải thích thì đa số thấy cuốn nào cũng khá là khó hiểu. Đa số đều nói rất chung chung, làm mình khó mà hình dung được. Và đọc qua Brian Weiss rồi thì sẽ thấy kiến thức siêu hình giữa 2 cuốn này đều tương tự nhau. Nói chung đọc qua để biết thì ổn, còn đam mê khám phá thêm về huyền học tâm linh như mình thì chắc phải tìm hiểu thêm nhiều sách và kiến thức ở nơi khác rồi.

Cuốn này qua mỗi câu chuyện hồi quy của các nhân vật khác nhau thì mình chả nhớ được gì nhiều luôn á, kiểu đang đọc dở rồi bỏ đó đi ăn cơm chút quay lại là chả nhớ nội dung là gì nữa rồi. Nên mình không đánh giá cao lắm vì chả đọng lại được trong đầu nhiều.

Nói chung cũng gợi mở được kha khá kiến thức tâm linh đó, nhưng để thực hiện được chắc còn phải cần một khoảng thời gian khá dài 😂

Being a book on hypnosis and past life regressions it's expected that it is going to be unrealistic. This one is about soul mates but then I found it a bit strange that the couples aren't hypnotize together it is usually just one of them doing it. This is because both people would never describe the same lives and would even give conflicting information. As for the regressions themselves they are the person creating a story based on information they have gathered in life and leading questions from the hypnotist. The stories are of course extremely vague with no details that would allow researchers to could actually prove past lives are real. Instead we are given excuses on why these stories have no dates or details which is so that you can't actually disprove them. It's the whole you can't prove if it exist or doesn't exist so its a possibility. It just seems so obvious that really looking into these claims would easily allow a person to see it as fake but there are just so many gullible people. As a final I would love to know how people who can't remember these past lives feel after paying so much. The author does admit he has met a few but then doesn't chose them for his research into past lives. He doesn't even say anything on why certain people can't remember these lives he just ignores them for those who help prove him right and make him rich.

I. Loved. This. Book. One of my all-time favorites. It was truly fascinating, intriguing, perplexing; so much so that it would be fair to say that it changed me and the way I look at life, permanently. The regression sessions, his reflections, and the information he shares in the back portion of the book are so interesting that I couldn't put this book down and gobbled it down within 24 hours. There is so much more going on that we don't see, and the experience of past lives and the relationships we experience during them is absolutely something we should seek to understand and heal from in this incarnation.

Came across Dick Sutphen’s poetry looking through my best friend’s parents bookshelves and really enjoyed it. Got a couple of his books and they are far out there, but interesting to imagine. I like to believe anything is possible and there’s no way of knowing until the end, so it’s always enjoyable to come across another belief system

Book has never been out of print. It's an interesting read with relatable stories. It assumes that you already think reincarnation is possible and the anecdotes are robust. There are also woven in with the regression stories interesting concepts on how souls, non physical entities, take on physical incarnations to learn valuable lessons despite these lessons often being traumatic.

I'm a little more skeptical of new age ideas now, than when I read this book years ago. However, I still believe in past lives, in reincarnation. But it's a BELIEF. A belief that helps me make sense of so much that happens to us in this life.

loved the content, didn't love the style of writing and had a hard time connecting with the people in each story. The book also changed halfway through to be what I thought an entirely different aspect of reincarnation and less about two souls through different lifetimes.

According to the author generally your romantic partners were also your romantic partners in past lives. Some reincarnation believers state that siblings, parents, cousins, etc can reincarnate in the next life and then be romantic partners. That has always kind of given me the ick 🤮 , so it is nice to hear that this isn't normally the case

Chpt.10 is somewhat mind blowing to consider.

This was one of the first books that came to me to read after my beloved partner's life was brutally/tragically taken away from him.. It literally fell from the bookshelf in the TS bookshop onto the floor and I picked it up and whallah it was exactly what I was meant to read, so meant to be for answers that I had begun seeking..

I documents assorted pairs of lovers and non-lovers who learn about their relationships and deeper connections from and through past-life regression sessions with Dick.

It still is to this day one the most life changing books I have personally read.. Dick Sutphen is one of my greatest influences..I am so very grateful t have had the opportunity 30 years later since reading this book to be a student of Dick Sutphen learning ironically about Spiritual Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression..

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is, are or wish start seeking answers and understanding on the relationships and deeper connections with lovers, non-lovers, husbands, wives..enjoy~!

I LOVED this book. One of the most beautiful inspired metaphysical works I have ever read. What can I say about Dick and Treena Sutphen? They were both, to me, such beautiful icons of inspiration. I purchased nearly everything they both released in those years of yore, when I was searching for truth and the keys to the universe. Indeed, these materials led me to Sedona, a region I was destined to re-discover before I was born! I highly recommend this book as it spells out why people come together, and what our soul-mate paths can reveal to us.

I read the 1st edition of this book a long, long time ago. It introduced me to a whole other field of thought, and opened up so many other areas for me to explore. Fascinating to re-read this updated version of the classic book all these years later, and from such a different place than I was when I first read it. Highly recommend.

I feel like so much of my own beliefs were affirmed through reading through these regressions. I especially loved the last few chapters that provided answers to cynics and spoke of the real goals of love and freedom. Great book!
