He translated some popular books from different genre for various leading publication companies of Bangladesh and earned love as a translator from wide range of readers.
Some of his books have been in the lists of national best-sellers.
He was born in Bogura, Bangladesh. His father Zahurul Hoque Zahangir was a government officer and was used to be transferred from one district to another within every couple of years. So, early life of Moheul Islam Mithu was in various districts of Bangladesh.
After completing his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Government Azizul Haq College, he earned his Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) from the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies in the University of Dhaka.
Now he lives in Dhaka with his father, mother, younger brother.
