Blinded by a bad date, Cecelia lives and works on a ranch that helps victims of domestic abuse. All she wants is to stay on the ranch, a place where she can find her way around in her perpetual darkness. She has no intention of dating again, especially not Marine Force Recon veteran, Brian “Barbie” Ken, even if his voice is so sexy it makes her knees weak.
Assigned to protect the patrons and workers at the ranch, Brian is fascinated by everything about Cecelia and has made it his life’s mission to take her out on a date. She might be the biggest challenge of his life. Convincing her to leave the ranch will take more than smooth talking after an ill-fated date robbed her of her eyesight. It will take Blind Trust on her part to go out again.
When her cousin ends up in the hospital in San Diego, Cecelia is desperate to visit. Brian offers to drive her. Cecelia agrees to go, taking a leap of faith to leave her familiar surroundings. When a sex trafficker kidnaps Cecelia from the hospital, Brian crosses the border into Mexico to rescue her and bring her home.

When Brian 'Barbie' Ken first sees Cecelia he is struck by her beauty, her silver hair is unusual and striking. When Hank calls to her as she's walking directly toward a broom blocking the way, he realizes she's blind.
When they're introduced there's none of the typical fawning that some women do over a man who's single and built and Brian finds that more than a little attractive.
His job here at the Courage and Confidence Center for Women, aka Triple C Ranch or The Three C’s Ranch will be part of the round-the-clock security provided by Hank's Brotherhood Protectors. The personal security is needed at least until the rebuild from an attack is completed and a state of the art security system is installed.
As Brian falls into the routine he also finds himself trying to get to know Cecelia better, he also wants to ask her out.
While he's unsuccessful in getting a date off the property, he does manage to have lunch with Cecelia and tries to come up with other date like activities to do with her on the property. Then fate steps in and lend him a hand, Cecelia needs to go to San Diego, to see her cousin is in the hospital.
Brian offers to take her as he has some business to attend to on the base at Coronado.
I love this relationship and how it progresses, the gift Brian gives her before they start the trip, the meals, the absolute understanding that she is independent even though she can't see melted my heart.
Of course there had to be something that went FUBAR and I held my breath and sniffled through all of that.
I couldn't put this book down, I love the way Debra has added this Ranch into the Brotherhood Protector's world I have to go back and read her other books in this world. I really hope she plans on writing more.
Brian or Barbie. Ranch for attacked or abused women. Cecelia This is a very interesting book. When Brian came to the ranch as a guard, he met Cecelia. I could see why he was so impressed with her. She was blind, but was the receptionist at the ranch. It was amazing how much she could do with Braille, smell, and her listening skill. Brian was attracted to her and wanted to take her out. Unfortunately how she was attacked in the past, she doesn’t trust men. I loved how Brian had to work to earn her trust. It helped out when they were together in a car for a few days. I hated hat happened to her when she was away from the ranch. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Blind Trust: Brotherhood Protectors World is by Debra Parmley. This is a book that deals with family abuse and abuse situations that makes women run. Luckily, they had a place to tun to. Triple C Ranch was one of two ranches set up to house and train abused women. They were known as the Three C Ranches. Two of the facilities were in the US, one was in Montana. They had just had a fire in the house and now it was under reconstruction on those parts. Luckily, the wind hadn’t been blowing or they would have had woods on fire too. Cecelia had learned to cope and get a job as she worked on the Ranch while getting help. She tried dating; but picked a doozie as he hit her with a baseball bat when she refused another date with him. As a result, she was blind. She loved her job here and loved the security it gave her; but she knew she still needed help. Brian Meng King Ken, aka “Barbie” was an ex -Marine who worked security for Hank Robertson. He was called in to help make the ranch safe for all the inhabitants. He was immediately drawn to Cecelia and wanted to date her. She refused and another worker finally told him as much as she knew about the rape. Brian set out to get a date with her. His chance came when she needed to get to San Diego to visit her friend who was having surgery. He had an appointment at the Marine base in San Diego, so he volunteered to drive her there and back. That gave him about eight days to be alone with her. Surely, he could break the ice in that time. Can he get to know her in that time? What happens when she is kidnapped from the cafeteria.? Why are they kidnapping her?
Blind Trust by Debra Parmley This brotherhood protector book starts out with Brian and he's new to the brotherhood. Cecilia is a blind secretary there as she works through her problems. The things I love the most about this series are the protection that is given to the women and the classes they take to protect themselves. The complex is getting repaired and with her being blind she almost walked right into it but Hank spoke to her before the accident happened. Brian is fascinated by her and her voice. She finds him appealing as well and knows his scent and touch already. He asks her out but she declines-she's fearful of being abused again-from her past... Like location for Three C Ranch and all it stands for. He drives her to San Diego to see her friend and that's 3 days one way that he looks forward to. Author has done her homework on one being blind as I am-so informative and correct information is given to her abilities. Love hearing of the road travel-so cool! Scary moments when she is taken against her will. Brian fears they will take her to Mexico... Love how he calls his brother from another mother (LOL) to help him... Love all the action and adventure and travel and sights visited-as a blind person it meant so much to me! Can't wait for the next one in his series. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

Excellent and touching book. Cecelia was blinded by a date gone bad. She works at the Three C's ranch in Montana. Brian (Barbie) was a security guard there for the residents and workers. When she wanted to go to San Diego to visit her cousin who was in the hospital, he drove since he had to go to the Naval Base anyway. While there she was kidnapped by sex trafficers while in the hospital. Thanks to Brian giving her a necklace before they left that had a GPS tracker in it helped to alert him she was in trouble. Informative, sweet, first love and danger rolled into one. Excellent read. Received this book free for an honest review.
This was a quick read with interesting characters. Brian works for the brotherhood and meets Cecelia who works at a ranch for abused women. Cecelia is blind from her assault but doesn't let it keep her down. When she gets kidnapped Brian goes after her. Some action and a good story.
Cecelia met Brian when he started working as a bodyguard. He kept asking her out, but she was afraid to date anyone after she had been attacked. Now she needs to go see her cousin who is in the hospital. Brian was pleased when she agreed to ride with him.
Another wonderful book. This was short and sweet. Blindness must be so devastating. Not being able to see what is happening around you and not knowing who to trust.
Blind Trust: Great story! I loved how Brian's attraction to Cecilia was at first sight. He was the most caring man and understood where she was coming from as far as what she had been through. It was fantastic writing and romance.
This is the third book in the Brotherhood Protectors series. In the first two books, we were introduced to a couple of the Marines who were involved in the Brotherhood Protectors. In book two, we were introduced to the Triple C’s Ranch, a shelter to house and help women get out of dangerous situations. It is located in a remote location which was supposed to be safe. We were also introduced to Cecelia, a former resident of a sister location and the receptionist to Triple C’s. Cecelia happens to be blind.
In Blind Trust, we learn more about Cecelia and we are introduced to Brian, a new recruit to the Brotherhood Protectors. Brian was immediately taken in by Cecelia, thinking she was a gorgeous lady and he couldn’t keep his mind from wandering to thoughts of her. Cecelia has her own story, her own reasons for not trusting easily, for not wanting to leave the ranch. She felt safe there. And, being blind, she knew her way around. She had no cause to leave and no cause to trust Brian … until she did.
If you like quick reads where there is an immediate attraction, a bit of action with a hero involved, and a female character who is flawed but stronger than she thinks, give this one a shot.
Cecelia was attacked one evening when the man she dated didn't want to accept 'no' resulting in her being blind. From that time forward, Cecelia had no intentions of dating. After completing a program with the Rosewood Center, associates of the Triple C's Ranch and the Brotherhood Protectors, she was hired to work with the Triple C division of the BP's. Brotherhood Protector Brian takes one look at the Three C's receptionist Cecelia and is blown away with her beauty. When he discovers she is blind, he is in awe of her independent nature and ability to' recognize' her surroundings. After being turned down several times for a date, he's had to get creative to get Cecelia to spend time together in the ranch instead of going out. Brian walks in when Cecelia's was making plans to visit her ill sister Sam in San Diego for a few days. Brian hears her and makes the offer for her to ride there with him since he has a few days of business to handle. When someone decides to kidnap Cecelia while she is visiting her sister, Brian pulls out all the the stops to save her, if she can hang on a little longer. I received a copy of Blind Trust from the author for an independent review. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever AfterRomanticTear-jerkerWonderful characters
Cecelia might be the receptionist at the Three C’s ranch, but she’s still hiding out. A spurned suitor left her blind after a savage attack, and it’s the only place she feels safe now. She might feel something for the new Brotherhood Protector Brian however; she’s not going to act on it. From the first glimpse Brian had of Cecelia he was determined to get to know her better. Once he heard her story he was even more determined to woo this strong woman. It takes a family issue for him to get the chance. Cecelia puts her trust in Brian, and agrees to let him help her. When the unthinkable happens Brian will do anything to save her, he’s not letting his future go for any reason.
Loving these Three C’s ranch stories from Debra Parmley
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Brian has just started as a Brotherhood Protector. He will be doing night security. Cecelia works as a secretary for The Three C's Ranch. She is also blind. Now she doesn't trust men very well. Brian is driving them to San Diego. He is hoping to get her convinced to go on a date with him. He has also given her a necklace that has GPS tracking. Cecelia is missing and has activated the tracker. Will Brian be able to find her?
Amazing story! Terrific characters! A new to me author who I will definitely be reading more from!! I loved Brian and Cecilia's story. I couldn't put it down. After a tragic incident Cecilia lost her sight and hasn't trusted men since. Brian must get through to her to show her not all men are bad. Can they overcome the obstacles ahead of them??? What a wonderful book!!!
I enjoyed this book and I've been looking forward to reading Cecilia's story. I also liked Brian, but I did feel like the story ended abruptly. I would have liked a little more, or maybe an epilogue.
