She currently lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland, with her husband, Brian, and their two little fur buddies, Otis and Chibs. She spends equal amounts of time writing, listening to Jimmy Buffett music and looking out at the ocean, all the while trying to decide if she should have coffee or margaritas.

Loved this sexy "we shouldn't...well, just one more time" romance between buttoned-up Reid and influencer Lila with a party-girl image. The story revolves around the Rexford distillery, Reid's family's business in Miami, so we get to know his brother Quin and sister Gemma - are we getting their stories, too?? I hope so! Trust is Reid's Achilles' heel, and when he and Lila start working together on promotion, his hesitancy kicks into high gear. But his hot/cold attitude only makes Lila more determined to find out what's simmering underneath Reid's protective layer...

Taming Reid was a major thirst trap and I don't mean the man candy cover. After reading, I wanted a yummy rum cocktail and to hang out with our main girl, blogger/influencer/social media star Lila Campbell. Rex's family line of specialty rums sounded amazing, almost as amazing as the many times Lila handed uptight Rex his ass. Gotta love a confident, sex positive Harlequin heroine who knows what she wants in business and the bedroom.

What a scrumptious ride! With the first book in her brand new Miami Heat series J. Margot Critch brings the heat for sure when a one night stand leads to over and over again when blogger/influencer Lila connects on an all too sinful level with the king of rum Reid. Their story is fast paced and impossible to put down. I can't wait to see what's next in the series!

Reid Rexford is straight-laced and all about business ... until a one night fling turns into forever! The past makes it hard for him to trust, but Lila has a way of easing her way into his heart and before he knows it their pillow talk is spilling things no one else knows.

Lila Campbell is delightful. She knows what she wants in life and is going after it full steam ahead, but meeting Reid makes her question whether he could be the beacon of home she's been searching for.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a passion filled game of give and take until they can't resist pledging their hearts forever.

I love the one night stand that turns into many nights stand. Reid is the grumpy old man (not really but you know what I mean) who poo-poos everything until a little wild Lila comes into his life. She is close to his age but sees that he is living a staid life that could use some excitement. Not that she does not want to settle down a little bit so it is kind of both of their coming to the realization that they can live both ways. I loved that they could not keep their hands off of each other and Reid is too funny thinking that he has the power to do that…men! A great start to a new series.

Reid is a partner in Rexford Distillery and his focus is on business and due to his past everything else becomes a very distant second. He was intrigued by Lila from their first meeting and the sparks flew but that doesn’t mean he is about to let her into his business or his heart.

Lila has created quite the reputation for herself as an Influencer, but she knows that appearances are everything or it could all come crashing down. She is outgoing and brash which puts her on a collision course with Reid but having to work together could either be the best thing to ever happen to her or the worst.

I found this to be an interesting story which flowed well. There were some parts of the story which I saw coming and some that I didn't. I liked the characters and felt a connection to them; I enjoyed watching them navigate a relationship and the differences they brought to each others lives. For me personally, I thought the book ended a bit abruptly, I would have liked another chapter or an epilogue just to finish things off nicely.

He needs a tall drink of his own rum and she is about to loosen him up

Taming Reid is the first book in the Miami Heat series and is the story of Reid Rexford and Lila Campbell. Their story is fun and entertaining with more than a few laugh out loud moments. I thought the author did a nice job of writing this fast moving story which has a smooth flow and great characters that have some nice heat and heart between them. I liked this book from the start to the finish.

This was a fun read about Rex and Lila who have a lot of attraction towards each other, Rex is hawt and aloof while Lila has sass and confidence and make for great characters. I admit Rex irked me at times and felt maybe he didn't deserve Lila, but Lila wouldn't have him if he wasn't worthy of her. Can't wait for the next installment of this mini series.

This was a very fun read. I liked Lila and Rex. This couple generated lots of sparks with each and every interaction they shared and their chemistry simply sizzled. I thought the story was quite well written and entertaining. This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to book two of this series. Will Lila tame Reid or will the rolls be reversed? I had a great time finding out. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is off the charts steamy. The flow of the storyline held my attention till the end.

This was my first time reading something from this author. I enjoyed the writing style as well as the storyline. It’s a sexy hot, sizzling chemistry page turner. The characters are well defined with just the right amount of mystery and intrigue. Well your time to read and enjoy.
