This was such a wonderful book!! It's definitely my favorite book in the drive spin off world, and now I'm definitely going to be reading this authors entire back list. I stayed up late finishing this book and I have no regrets!!
I'm such a sucker for single parent romances, and we get TWO single parents in this emotional romance!! Tilly is upending her entire life to move to the states (and to keep her daughter safe) she is the new psychologist for the racing team, and it's there she meets the broody and sullen Brock, who is the racing manager. Brock has been hurt so badly in the past and has is walls up to the nth degree, and lives for his job and his adorable son. He doesn't want anything to do with romance, but one look at Tilly has him rethinking everything he once knew. Just as they are on the road to happiness, everything around them comes crumbling down. Can they survive the fallout with their hearts intact?
Oh goodness, I wasn't prepared for how emotional this book was! I've been having a hard time really getting involved in a storyline these days, but I was hooked from the very first page!! These two had such a beautiful relationship together, and their two kids brought some much needed levity to the storyline! I just can't recommend this book enough!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
When Deception landed on my kindle I almost wept! It's no secret that the Driven series is a favourite of mine, so while this could have been a hit or a miss other authors writing in this world, AS Robert's for me absolutely NAILED IT! She's brought these two worlds together but didn't miss all the little touches and nods to our favourite characters that only a Driven fan would know if they've read the books, the intensity passion and drive in this book was on fire 🔥
Brock ~ he literally brakes the mould for our grumpy smouldering alpha's the last few years haven't been easy for him, with trying to keep the press out of his personal life, I love that he's not the guy who's all like look at me!! Family matters and I felt that is a strong trait about him. But what I love is that when he sees something he actually wants he's not scared to go after it this is until shit becomes TOO REAL!!!!! But when you have friends like Colton & Becks who are there to catch you when you fall you know your in safe hands who would only steer your in the right direction.
Tilly ~ my darling Tilly you are a force to be reckoned with, I love strong 💪🏻 woman and we see the walls start to crumble a little when Tilly catches the eye of our alpha, not sure if she can take the gamble when starting her new life.... enter Rylee & Haddie! These ladies give Tilly the platform to she needs to stand on her own, but knowing she has the friendship and support from these two amazing ladies well it only lights the fire in her belly more.
Any Driven fan will tell you these characters are so so special and we're getting to see them be themselves in someone else's story, that shows how they are and amazing how AS Robert's is bringing these two worlds together. There's lots of names & places that will pop up for Driven fans but if you haven't read the serie you may want to when you read how fab this book could lead you there 😍
For me this read was 5+++ ✨ and AS Robert's best book to date 👏🏻
My first read in the Driven World inspired by the works of K. Bromberg. A.S. Roberts brings us the story of single parents from opposite sides of the "pond". Brock nearly lost it all in an Indy car accident. He lives for his son and still enjoys a position in the Indy world but no longer as a driver so that he may still follow his dream while remaining safe for his son. Tilly and her daughter have made their way to the United States where she has been hired as a psychologist for Brock's racing team. She hopes to have out run her past so that she may provide a loving life for her daughter in the states. Brock and Tilly have both survived through deception in their past and use their experiences to guide their lives now and also so that they may provide the best that life has to offer for their children. What they didn't count on is that their relationship may be more than employer/employee. I have now been inspired to read the works of A.S. Roberts and K. Bromberg that have spurred on this book.

I have absolutely loved reading Deception. As a huge fan of both K. Bromberg’s Driven series and A.S. Roberts’ Fated series, I thought the way that the author brought these two fictional worlds together in this story was perfect. I have loved every moment spent with Tilly, Brock and their friends. In fact, I was hoping that their story would never end!
Brock is going to instantly steal your heart. I couldn’t help but fall for this wonderful guy who has lived through more pain than you could possibly imagine. What he has been through has greatly affected him and all I ever wished for, throughout the story, was for him to be happy in all areas of his life.
Tilly is a remarkable lady who makes the brave decision to move away from her family and friends in order to protect the most important person in her life. I admire her strength and determination but most of all I adore her personality and I can see exactly why Brock took an instant liking to her.
The instant attraction and the sexual chemistry between Brock and Tilly are palpable. These two individuals have spent years guarding their hearts, refusing to let anyone get close and ensuring their loved ones are protected. This story shows us that love can alter paths and change lives for the better but it also shows us just how important trusting someone is too.
Deception is a must read! Being back in the company of characters I already adore and getting to know Brock and Tilly has been an absolute pleasure. I cherished how much this story made me feel, even during those moments when I literally held my breath - fearing how a scene was going to conclude. I was heavily invested in Tilly and Brock’s relationship and that brought out all the emotions in me.
I know that you’ll enjoy reading Deception just as much as I have. I award this fantastic story by A.S. Roberts the full 5 stars. I sincerely hope that this isn’t the last that we see of Brock and Tilly too.
Outstanding! A. S. Roberts brought Colton and his friends back to the book-world with Deception. Brock and Tilly’s story is filled with emotion and is so detailed that I felt like I was part of their world.
It was truly exciting to read about these characters yet have K Bromberg‘s world AND Roberts’s, The Fated Series, blended.
Do you need to read the other books...nope! It’s so well written that you will fall in love with these characters without having to read the others. This is a massive book with all the feels!
After reading the Driven series by K. Bromberg and absolutely loving it. I couldn’t wait to see how A.S Roberts would write hers and I was not disappointed it’s one of my top 10 reads ever! Brock & Tilly wow! I loved there characters the steam that was coming off my kindle with these two and adding Sarah and Max into the mix had me laughing with her cute one liners. A.S Roberts even brought in the main characters of the Driven series which was a perfect touch. Everything about the book flowed it kept you on tender hooks the whole time it was tense, Funny and steamy This review doesn’t to the book justest is was amazing. I was blown away. 5 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 stars and more if I could x
This is one of those stories that will take hold of your heart from the start and stay with your for a very long time. AS Roberts is one of my favourite authors and her Fated series was exceptional.
I will be honest and say that I have not read any of K Bromberg’s Driven Series, let me rephrase, I had not read any of the Driven Series until this book. This story, although set within the Driven World brings characters that I knew and loved from the Fated series back into my life, this made the read feel so much more personal. The story felt like and extension to the Fated world, but also an introduction to a world that I can see myself being lost in for sometime to come.
AS Roberts brought her A game, and gives the reader a real roller-coaster of a ride. She touches on so many emotions and sensitive situations through the whole book. The highs and lows are perfectly woven throughout. Brock and Tilly are perfect for one another. They have experienced some amazing highs and some devastating lows individually, but those experiences brought an understanding to their relationship that bonds them and makes them unbreakable…just!!! I always love reading stories where there are young children involved and Max and Sarah bring an innocence to the story like only children can. Max at only 4 already has the makings of an alpha male – he is protective and loves with his whole heart, just the way his father, Brock does. This quality about Brock was head and shoulders above all others, even his devastating good looks!! Sarah, ah, who doesn’t love seeing the world through a child’s eyes . Her ‘tell it like it is’ approach to things had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. She was honest, but cautious and initially reserved, just like her mummy - Tilly had instilled some fantastic qualities in her little girl and as they say, like mother like daughter.
I loved every word of the book and was sorry it ended, who knows maybe there will be a book at the end of the Driven World that shows us the lives of all the characters 10, 20 or even 30 years from now, that includes the children, oh or even a spin off/second generation Driven World??? I would certainly pre-order both of those!
An absolutely amazing book bringing two of my favourite book worlds together
You can’t help but fall in love not only with Brock and Tilly but also their two adorable kids
Both Brock and Tilly have their troubled pasts but somehow they find their way to each other with appearances from Colton and friends from the Driven world
Wow what a fantastic read, Andrea has really outdone herself with this brilliant storyline which takes me back to the Driven Series and tells how the original characters have progressed. Poor Brock has had his fair share of heartbreak but when Matilda walks into his life his world starts to change. This is such a heartwarming story and puts into prospective how much our live's can change with just the right amount love. ....I was given this ARC to read for an honest and unbiased review
This book was an unexpected surprise. That intro was like What the Heck and the next chapter it started totally different. But the more I read the more I wanted to know what happened.
Tilly just got a new job in the US working as a psychologist for Brock’s racing team She needed this move desperately as she had a past that she wanted to avoid at all cost. The moment she met Brock she had an attraction towards him. But she had a daughter to think of and a new job to settle in.
Brock knew when he met Tilly there was chemistry between them. And even though he wanted to keep his distance for his own sake and his son’s he couldn’t. She and her daughter captured him and now he couldn’t escape. But Brock has issued he needed to deal with. With his accident when he retired from racing but also from the mother of his child who he knew was just a matter of time before she wormed her way back into his life. But will he be able to overcome his suspicions and his hurts from the past to move forward and find happiness for him and his son?
I don’t know how to describe this book, lol. It had an alpha, growly guarded male and sweet Tilly who was looking for her rainbow. I loved their kids, Max and Sarah was so cute and the way Max immediately took Sarah under his wing was just too precious. There is definitely some suspense in this one as you read on what happened in Brock’s past but also wanting to know what happened in Tilly’s. Definitely a well spend afternoon read ♥ 😊
Being a huge fan of both K Bromberg’s Driven series and A.S. Robert’s Fated series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. AS Roberts has blended the two fictional world’s seamlessly and my love for all characters has quadrupled.
Whether you have read either series or not, the brilliant, creative mind of A.S. Roberts has produced a memorable story where old and new readers to either series will be transfixed. Single mum, Tilly grabs the chance to start afresh in a new country, hoping that her new job as a psychologist for a motorbike team, will allow her to escape her past and move forward. Former Indy car driver, Brock, is now the race manager of the team that Tilly has begun working for and they instantly connect. Both single parents, they both want the best for the children, however past traumas and betrayals have made moving on hard to do.
The heartache, the concerns of deep rooted fears, along with the growing love and friendship that Brock and Tilly experience together, just fuelled my love of this addictive story. Their chemistry was beautifully explosive and I so didn’t want their story to end.
Brock has transitioned his love of racing from a career as a driver to managing at team. His number one priority in his life is his son, his career comes second but after being burnt by love relationships aren’t even on his radar.
Tilly’s job working for Brock’s team allows her to put some distance between her and her past and create a new life for her and daughter, but Brock was a complication she wasn’t expecting.
Brock and Tilly are drawn to each other but they must fight to overcome their past and their doubts if they are to have a future together.
I loved this story. The excitement and build up to events at the racetrack are there, the deep emotions and insecurities. The friendships and banter. The kids that say it like it is with no filter, even those characters who just can't stand not to get their own way. There are some twists and even a patch fraught with suspense, but what I took most from reading this was that taking a risk at love even after pain and betrayal is worth it but you have to trust and talk to each other and be willing to open yourself up just as much as you expect the other to do for you. Loving and romantic, some wonderful scenes with the kids that are so sweet they made my heart melt. A story im truly happy to reccomend
Tilly and her daughter are starting over in the US, she as a psychologist for a racing team. It's where she meets the racing manager, Brock. Brock too is a single parent, to his adorable boy, Max. Will their shared single parent status bring them together?
Brock doesn't know how to do relationships, love, or anything like that. He lives for his son, and the team he manages. Then Tilly and her daughter come along and tilt his world on its axis. He isn't sure of much, but he knows he wants Tilly. Will she stick around even after he pushes her away when a threat arises to the custody he has of his son?
I've been loving the Driven World series and I think this one is one of the best so far. Brock and Tilly and their cutie kids make an excellent family, and the tension and chemistry between Tilly and Brock is hot. Add in Brock's tight friendship with Colton and Becks, and the way their wives embrace Tilly and her daughter is heartwarming. Definitely a worthy addition to the Driven World.
If you are a fan of both K. Bromberg’s Driven series and A.S. Roberts’ Fated series then you will enjoy this book as it is like an extension to those series. If you haven’t had the pleasure then you will certainly want to explore those books once you’ve finished this one. The author has cleverly joined all these worlds together seamlessly and given us a delightful story about two single parents doing the best for their children after experiencing massive heartbreak.
“Now is all you’ve got. This minute is all that’s guaranteed. Tomorrow isn’t promised.”
Brock Mackenzie has gone through so much pain and disappointment he will definitely pull at your heart strings. A handsome broken man who has been affected by the losses in his life to such an extent it now rules his way of thinking, how he treats people and how he lives his life. He works hard and is dedicated to his son Max and providing the best life for him. His relationship skills are very poor as he hasn’t any real experience of one, except with Max’s mum. He is rightly suspicious of everyones motives and doesn’t let anyone in.
Mathilda ‘Tilly’ Dennison is strong, caring and has a great personality which shines out throughout the book. She is starting a new chapter of her life in the US to escape the betrayal and upset she has had to endure back in the UK. She is determined to be brave so she can focus on and protect her daughter Sarah. Her bluntness and blushing is refreshing and sweet. She gets a job at the Mackintosh-Blackmore Race Team as their psychologist. Brock is the Team Manager and the moment she walks in there is an instant connection. His eyes draw her in and when they shake hands the chemistry is electric. It helps that while entertaining Sarah he has an unfortunate mishap giving her the giggles and calling him the ‘funny man’.
“When your fate stares you right in the face you have no choice but to surrender,”
The author shows how loss and pain changes people. Brock and Tilly both prioritise their children over everything else and find it hard to let anyone get close. Their journey is exciting and scary just like the Indy track he used to drive around. She knows he is worth the effort and he is amazed that for the first time in his life someone was willing to fight for him. He has always hoped but never believed he deserves things and luckily she understands what he been through. They have some very steamy episodes as they get to know each other and his dominant side comes out to play.
I loved he has so much support from his friends and the advice they give him at times is hilarious. The girls accept Tilly and help when things get rough. It was great to catch up with Colton and Rylee, Becks and Haddie. The stars of the book however, are the adorable Max and Sarah. They both take after their parents and when Sarah copies Tilly by telling it as it is, I cracked up laughing. In such an innocent and endearing way they show Tilly and Brock about love and trust.
“In the middle of a storm, always look for the rainbow, because it will lead you to your pot of gold.”
The story builds up to a dramatic end with confrontation, crashing realisation and everything on the line for both of them to lose. For a man of few words can Brock finally accept and come to terms with what is right in front of him? Can Tilly find her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Will the family they have made stay together? Can he put aside his anguish and sorrow to find love?

As soon as I saw the cover for this book I was hooked and knew I just needed to read this story... at first I was worried as I had read nothing in the Driven World before but I definitely didn't need to as I fell into this world and story so easily with A S Roberts fab words! Tilly moves from the UK to the US to follow a new job and to hide from the demons of her past...Little did she know that her new neighbour at the race track would put her life into a spin! Single dad Brock is everything you could want in a man.. hes dependable.. strong and beyond all else a fantastic dad... never again wanting a woman in his life...but his engine gets a kick start the minute he sees Tilly. Not as plain sailing as you would think this book would go you are hit with twists turns and bumps along the road leaving you wondering if these pair would cross the finish line together or not. Absolutely great read for everyone.
Ok wow! Once I heard about K Bromberg's Driven World project and that AS Roberts would be a part of it I was super excited. I had no idea how she would combine the two worlds but she did it with such ease! It was completely effortless and I couldn't help but be enthralled as I devoured each page one by one. Brock and Tilly have their fair share of obstacles but they can't deny their attraction. They've spent such a long time guarding their hearts that watching them lower their defences and overcome their issues was such a privilege to witness. It's safe to say I absolutely adored this read and didn't want it to end. Amazing!!
This is the perfect addition to this amazing series and is Brock and Tilly’s story. Brock is a former indie race driver who is now the race manager. Tilly is looking forward to a fresh start to escape her past, and she is has been employed as the psychologist for the team. There is an instant and undeniable connection between Brock and Tilly, and they have something in common and that is they are both single parents. This is a well written story which has twists, witty banter, friendships, and love, which all leads to a humorous and steamy read. I was hooked throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
I have to say I love K Bromberg's Driven World series. Every time I get to read a new story by a different author with their characters that enter the world. They always have the usual characters like Colton, Rylee and the racing gang make appearances. I love how each author ties it together.
𝙳𝚎𝚌𝚎𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 is Brock and Tillys story. Both are single parents to little ones under 5,Max and Sarah, who thankfully get along right away, almost like they knew something would happen 😉.
Brock had been a driver, one of the best until he sustained enough injuries in his crash to cause him to retire becoming the teams manager, allowing him to still be part of the world he loved. Unfortunately he also had his fair share of heartbreak with Maxs mom who only wanted the relationship for the game and money that came with it and was more than willing to just give up her son to Brock.
Tilly is the new psychologist for Brocks team, coming all the way from the UK trying to rid herself of her past. She simply wants a good solid life for her daughter and herself.
There was instant chemistry between the two and little Max took Sarah under his wing immediately as if he was always her big brother.
Both Brock and Tilly fight to overcome their pasts so that they and the children can have a future. As always there are a few bumps in the road, but they work together to make it work.
I would like to thank the author A.S. Roberts and Greys Promotion for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wow what a story!!!! This book is set within the driven series by K. Bromberg and I have to say like pretty much everyone that I love that series, so when I found out other authors were gonna be writing within that series I was a bit dubious but honestly A.S.Roberts has done a fantastic job with Deception!!!!!
Brock and Tilly have amazing chemistry and the heat was coming off my kindle lol. Even seeing the main characters from Driven was a great surprise and a delight to read. This book has everything, hot characters, steamy scenes and a fast paced story beileve me you won't be able to put this book down!!!!!! Absolutely 100% brilliant!!!!!
I loved this Driven World spin off book, about Brock and Tilly. You’ll instantly fall in love with both the characters. A brilliantly written book that I loved from start to finish
I love this world and was excited to read this story. I do have to admit that I had a tough time getting into this story once I started. But once it got going I was very involved. I am a big fan of characters with depth and histories that make you feel and root hard for them to overcome and succeed. Tully and Brock (and of course Sarah and Max) are terrific and you fall in love with them. An interesting storyline that will keep you entertained till the end. Add this to your list because it is worth the read.
Oh my goodness!!! Deception is my very first read from A.S. Roberts and it was spectacular. It was so good to be back in the Driven World, hanging out with Colton, Rylee, Becks and Haddie. But it was romance between Tilly and Brock that kept me up reading until 3 am.
I adored Tilly. Her kindness. Her gentleness. But also her fieriness. How she spoke her mind and got fired up about the things that mattered. How she cared for did everything she could to protect her daughter. That included upending her life and starting over in the States. Which is exactly how she meets Brock. Broody and closed off with only a soft spot for his son.
There was no denying their instant attraction. But they were both cautious as they had been burned badly before. I loved that for as hard as they tried to stay away, they just couldn't. When they were together something just felt right. Their families just fit. Don't even get me started on how dang cute Max and Sarah were.
But all it took was a little vindictiveness and one shining, spectacular moment of stupidity to throw the happy course they were on right into a storm. Whew! My heart was absolutely racing as things got pushed to the limits. I think I'm still catching my breath with how things played out. From start to finish, Brock and Tilly's romance was playful, sexy, emotional, gripping and so real that I couldn't put it down.
“...he’d antagonised the beast and now it was rearing its ugly head and he deserved to see me as I truly was, whether he wanted to or not.”
What a combination...A.S. Roberts & A Driven World Novel. This series keeps climbing to the top of my favorites list. A.S. Roberts knocked it out of the park with this one.
‘I can smell your need, honey. But just remember … I’m not always quick and I’m definitely not always painless.’
So many emotions...healing, guilt, fear, humiliation, acceptance, deceit, chemistry, loss, heartache, friendship, loyalty, steaminess...
“A shiver travelled down the length of my spine and I knew without a doubt that whatever I did or tried; I would never be accepted into his world. I could only hope that they wouldn’t try to destroy mine.”
This book will not disappoint! Get comfy, because you won’t want to put this book down...grab a fan while you are at it...the chemistry is off the charts.
‘Love talks in this household and it will always be more important than money.’
This was a love story from the beginning, and I’m not talking about the book, I’m talking about my feelings toward this story. I loved it. Deception had everything, all the emotions you could want or need. I felt like I’d gone through the wringer at times, but then the author pulled me out the other side and warmed my heart. Brock was broken, but Tilly put him back together piece by piece. I watched a small boy learn that not everyone is out to hurt him, and it was beautiful. I have only read the Driven series once and cannot remember most of it, but that did not take anything away from this story. Although there is plenty of time spent with the original Driven World characters, I could easily read this if I’d never happened upon the Driven books in the first place. Roberts created a powerful, emotional story, one which was easily relatable in many ways and to top it off, she offered us two spectacular kids who absolutely melted my heart. A magnificent story which will get your heart racing, breaking, and brimming with hope all at the same time.
Let me start out by saying that Deception is another fantastic addition to The Driven World, and you don't want to miss out. Brock has had some things happen to him in life which hurt my heart, and he now has walls up (I don't blame him). He had to retire from driving an Indy car, so now he has a racing team. Tilly has her own past of deception, so she's left everything behind to come across the pond with her daughter for a fresh start (& to keep her daugher safe) as she's hired to be the psychologist for Brock's racing team. They had intense chemistry that shot sparks out of my kindle, but with the pasts they have, well, there's a certain amount of push & pull. However, the super cute kids lighten things up, as they tried to steal the show more than once. So you have racing, adorable tiny humans, heat, angst, and my favorite twists & turns that are coming in hot. To see how it all plays out, you know what to do! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Brock is a veteran driver in the racing world-ending his career was a horrible accident, now he's the team manager and will do whatever he can for his drivers. Tilly is the new psychologist that is joining the team. Each of them has their own baggage, but what I loved is they each had a kid and they were never left out of this story. Brock and Tilly have no idea that their hearts are about to be one, their feelings just spark and they feel so deeply connected. As we read this story the love from Colton and Beck with their wives join in and it's funny to watch them all. But sometimes things are too good to be true and when both their pasts come back can they survive it all? I truly loved this story and was so bummed it ended.
This was a book worth waiting for... Brock and Tilly took us for one hell of a ride.
I was so excited to hear AS Robert's was to be part of the Driven world and it certainly fitted straight into the fast lane with the other books currently released.
Two worlds collided has made sure book readers are going to be totally invested in the passion and heat behind these two. A roller coaster ride of epic proportions.
