Manga creator ONE first created One-Punch Man as a web comic, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 10,000,000 hits! Along with One-Punch Man, ONE also writes and draws another series called Mob Psycho 100.
That was horrible. We see the end of the big fight between Mob and the evil spirit. It is sort of anti-climatic and quick. Then Reigen and Mob have a falling out and then the rest of the comic is just bad, not bad bad really just boring nothing happens for pages and pages, it dragged and took forever to read I kept putting the volume down and forcing myself to finish. Then Reigen is "framed" by the other fake psychic and there is a whole media frenzy and I don't get it. I don't get the point of the story unless that is the point as it is just so uninteresting. I find it hard to believe this was even written by the same person who wrote One Punch Man. Mob Psycho 100 was an action book but now it is not? It was bad enough all the high school drama. Last volume was for the most part just Mob being bullied in the spirit world by the evil spirit and this volume was a lot of Reigen being bullied (and being stupid clueless I guess).
I was really looking forward to this volume and I have vol 10 from the library but unless there is a course correction I probably will not be reading further in this series nor bothering to watch the TV show. Disappointed.
This was a beautiful volume that revolves around Reigen and Mob's relationship. From the beginning, we knew that Reigen has been exploiting Mob and his powers for his personal gain while Mob really respected him and accepted him as Master. After realizing the truth about him, Mob and Reigen finally separate ways, and Reigen's business is revealed to be a hoax. It ends beautifully when Mob says that he knew that he didn't have any powers but it didn't matter because he was a good person. Look at our Mob! Look how he has grown so much in the past years.
this was so good! it's my first Mob Psycho 100 volume, I started in the middle of the run because I wanted to see how Reigen and Mob separation arc was originally imagined by ONE (episodes 6 & 7 of Mob Psycho 100 II were just excellent!!!)
ONE has such an eye for paneling and composition, and of course, the character writing is wow! I'm definitely going back to volume 1 to experience the manga from the beginning.
on a side note, I will fight anyone who says that ONE can't draw or that the manga is ugly.
My Chrismas present!! I loved it. Personally, the Reigen arch was easier to follow in the manga, Reigen's motivations and feallings were clearer to me. Visually speaking though, it's a little anoying. There are good ideas, but the drawings... I'm gona be honest, they are so bad it's impressive. Still, they manage to tell the story way better than expected.
So amazing :( this part with reigen’s exposure bothered me when I thought about it but going through it again really made me love his character more. The press conference and his reactions were so in character but also the famous “he’s a good person” scene almost made me cry. I held myself back surprisingly. But truly so amazing.
One thing I really liked was the parallels between Reigen’s rant about how Mob should cut off the people who use him and then Mob’s classmate telling him to cut off Reigen. I think it really helped Mob come back around in his relationship with Reigen in a sense. Both parties surrounding Mob are flawed and he’s finally coming to terms with that along with his appreciation for everyone around him. Enough analysis, I love Reigen.

I adore Mob. He's honestly just so good. I'm not saying he doesn't make mistakes, but he's so unbelievably kind. Even his mistakes are endearing.
I've always been more on the fence about Reigen. I definitely felt like he was taking advantage of Mob. And the things he said in this volume, which he only said from a place of fear over losing control and prominence in Mob's life, were just cruel. I'm glad he learned his lesson. It was long overdue, to be honest.
I hope he does better moving forward. Because Mob deserves much better than Reigen has given him in the past. It was a hard lesson to learn, but necessary.
This volume explores Reigen and his relationship with Mob as Master and Student. It starts with Reigen says something hurtful to Mob, causing Mob to stop visiting. During the next chapters, we get to see more into Reigen's life and find out that he's a very lonely guy and mostly just works for a living. It's interesting to see the manga tackle this master and student dynamic the duo had and show that Mob has grown and is not taking things at face value anymore. The ending where they reunite is nice, although, I do think the anime did it better.

This volume is an incredible culmination of the series as a whole - it's not an ending or anything but it pulls off that risky maneuver of a comedy work pivoting to taking some of its ridiculous premises seriously and playing out logical consequences - ONE absolutely nails it. Reigen gets so levelled up by this volume it's ridiculous, a paper thin dumbass given depth and pathos - it's great. Also in the first chapter winding up the last arc ONE draws basically the best shonen power up scene in history and HE CAN't EVEN DRAW! Incredible stuff from one of Manga's best working talents.
AMAZING! TRULY AMAZING. Though honestly, they could have split this last volume into 2 volumes and it would still have been 2 thick-ass volumes, but *WEEPS* I don't even care! Everything I questioned was explained, characters I didn't like turned out to be so much more, and Mob is so, so endearing! This manga is totally worth losing sleep over! I HAVE NO REGRETS.
Interesting separation arc between Mob & Reigen and still ambiguous on whether Mob truly knows Reigen has no powers. Rooting for Mob in the 5-k run! But do not give a single fuck about Tsubomi lol he never even interacts with her, why is he so obsessed. Strange boy.
We get the end of Mob vs the evil spirit, which was pretty good but really the best moments of the arc already happened. Then we get a volume about Reigen doing stuff without Mob, and why he became a psychic/exorcist in the first place! Which is some great stuff, Reigen has had some good bits in this series so I like that we're finally getting into the meat and bones of who he is.
This volume of Mob Psycho dives deeper into side characters like Reigen, and shifts the focus off of Mob for a bit which was nice. I enjoyed Reigen’s character development and the friendship he has with Mob is really pure. Towards the end, i enjoyed Mob’s determination to place in the race and I’m intrigued to see where the story line goes with him and his cult following.

this volume has my absolute fav arc it’s incredible. mob psycho is one of the best things ever made. this arc was so good i love how we got to see a different side of reigen. i love the relationship between mob and reigen ☹️ dad and son type of thing. i love them so much
I love how Mob showed up to Reigen rescued, he knows him and yet still he thinks he is a good person, I too think that he is a good person, the greatest power Reigen has is that he is showing Mob how to trust himself and that's something that everybody should have in their life :D
[4.5 stars] it’s so funny to me how one of the best-written arcs in mob pyscho 100 is reigen getting cancelled like you don’t understand how fucking hilarious that is
also the secondhand embarrassment was strong with this volume
Pretty good volume, a small step down in terms of quality. I think Mob falling out with Reigen is an important step in his development, but it’s a bit rushed and contrived in this one. Still some sweet moments for Mob and Reigen. It’s cool to see Mob open up with people more.
