A Young Adult Reverse Harem? Is that possible? Yes! Tabitha Barret’s PEARL: WEDDING BELL BLUES definitely keeps things “Young Adult,” as we join Celeste back home and caught up in a nightmare worse than dealing with her bridezilla cousin. Noah has disappeared and that is what brought her home, but what she uncovers and what she must do holds all of the action and tension!

Even as her spoiled cousin runs roughshod over her impending wedding, Celeste discovers that the dark wizards are still lurking, still threatening coven, her family and her town and she may be the only person who can save them. Long held secrets will be uncovered and things are not always as they seem…

Celeste is a strong teen, no shrinking violet here, for sure! This time out, the focus is mainly on Celeste and her growth is phenomenal. I even liked her cousin, a true bridezilla, proving you can’t pick your family, but is there something more going on? Will she find Noah?

A high energy read filled with humor and heart. Well-written, great world building, completely entertaining and what an ending as everything is revealed!

I received a complimentary copy from Tabitha Barret! This is my honest and voluntary review.

I really should look at my previous ratings before picking up a book, I realised my mistake a chapter in. Once settled it was alright, I liked it more than the first one. fmc is still sixteen so nothing past kisses and it does read young. A little romance drama and a lot of dialogue. There is a lot more freedom compared to the first book. Does mention Sadie so did feel like I was missing something. Favourite character was granny Tavish.

I love Celeste and getting to know her and see her journry has been lots of fun. I didn't think I'd enjoy a teen/young adult read as much as I have with Celeste and her guys. It's adorable to see their dynamics with each other and as a group but I especially enjoy the character growth and underlying family theme. I find myself cheering Celeste on and feeling proud if her accomplishments. Definitely worth picking up!

Pearl is back to her hometown of Silver Springs. Even though Pearl's spin-off is more on the YA side, I love how unique and quite fitting she belongs to this quirky little town. This one had action and funny quips. I am so excited to start the next one!

And I'm officially caught up with the Jewels Cafe series. No more "lets just read another one after dinner", no more "or maybe I can 2 today?". I will have to wait until Monday, until the new one is released. I'm really gonna miss my frequent visits to this town and I'm for sure gonna miss all the girls I've got to know. Luckily Pearl is appearing in a few more books, which I'm now totally gonna get and read too!

Because the sequel to Pearl was just as amazing as the first book. Where the first book was focussed on Celeste forming her bond with her guys and had the shadow masters as a side plot, the shadow masters are now clearly the main plot. This includes a lot of delicious scheming, plots being revealed and people being exposed. I loved seeing more of the world, the covens and the way their politics work and I loved watching Pearl growing more and more into her powers and the best version of herself.

Does that mean the guys are not having a huge role anymore? I would say their role is indeed a little smaller. The relationships are established, the bonding has been done, now they are here for Celeste to love and to help and support her. Even though it happened off page, it's clear that the relationships have grown and developed over time. I most of all liked the bonding, and healthy bantering, between the guys.

Apart from that I also really like the writing style, the mythology and the way Barret tells this story. Although I still have a few questions when it comes to the two forms of magic and their differences, I'm pretty sure they will all be answered in the other series featuring Celeste. And despite the fact that I obviously DID miss some events and story, since I didn't read the other books, I had no trouble enjoying this read to the fullest.

Pearl returns to Silver Springs when Noah (her cat shifter mate) disappears from school. She worries he’s been cat-napped by the dark wizards who almost ruined the Winter Solstice Festival. She arrives home to chaos, her cousin is getting married and using her family home to host the event.

Focusing on finding Noah, her other two beaus Carson and Benjamin are there to help her search for the naughty kitty, weather the stress of the family invasion, and just try to stay sane in the ensuing chaos.

There were twists, not everyone was who they seemed to be, and there are even a few moments where Pearl and her guys have a chance to snuggle and spend time together. One thing is certain, life is never boring for Pearl Celeste Dreger or her family! Her guys are adorable, supportive, and everything a book nerd could want.

Is Noah in danger or did he deceive her and truly break her heart? Can Carson and Benjamin help Pearl hold it together and solve the mysteries she returned home for? Can their relationships survive the distance and return to school after the wedding bell chaos? Will this be a HEA for Pearl and her guys? Or was the first book really just a HFN?

Fun series of stand alone books in a shared universe with a little bit of character cross over.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Pearl has everything she could ever want, she has the love of three handsome mates and finally has her magic. But just when she's settling into school Noah goes missing and thing spiral down hill. Pearl will have to facing her fears while trying to keep silver spring and her loved ones safe with help of others. This has everything I wanted, action, adventure and a heap load of danger but also having that romance with all the funny moments that we loved about the first story. The way pearl made her boys blush at certain thing and the chemistry between Pearl and her cousin which you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. But also at the same time having me guessing what would happen next and I'd definitely read more.

Now that series 3 of Silver Springs has finished I am going back and playing catch up from some of the earlier books that I missed. As I have heard that there is another Pearl book due out shortly this made it to the top of my list! It is YA and although that is not really my first choice to read I do occasionally read them if it is by an author that I like or if the storyline sounds like I just cant pass it up. This fits both. The story is fast paced and exciting, lots of drama and magic and a nice continuation on the relationships between Pearl and her boyfriends... well sort of , because one relationship did really need some work due to the return of the evil shadow masters. I am not revealing anymore of the storyline as it is a book you really need to read yourself. Recommend

This sequel is so exciting! We get stuck into the adventure from page 1 and it doesn't let up for a single moment! I loved seeing more of Pearl's family, and how the history there impacted the mystery continuing from book 1. It's a fantastic, magical experience filled with emotional highs and lows that kept me hooked. The ending was satisfying and I really love the world of conjurers and casters that Tabitha Barret has created within Silver Springs.

Celeste is back and she’s not playing around!! Pearl: Wedding Bell Blues is everything you could want in a sequel for Celeste and her guys. They are fighting to put an end to the dark wizards in Silver Springs and to save one of their harem members. Celeste is such a wonderful character and I can’t wait to see what’s in wait for her back at Hallowed Woods. Keep up the great work Ms. Barret!!

I love Celeste and her guys! Noah, her catshifter goes missing and her cousin is getting married and is using her house to cater to the needs. Carson and Benjamin are there to help in the catnapping case. This book is sweet and all you could wish for. I love the developments of the relationships here. Worth every penny!

I really enjoyed this sequel not only because Pearl thwarted the Shadow Masters, but also because of the change in her family towards her. It was nice to see that no matter how young she is her family trusted her with their lives rather than being difficult like they had been before. I also like how the relationship between her and Augusta develops.

I enjoyed reading this book from the second that I started. The characters are so real that you feel as though you are here with them experiencing what they are. You cannot help but fall in love with them and you want to see them overcome everything, no matter what they need to do. This book needs to be read and so does this incredible series.

Fantastic

Great read! Strong characters with clear voices and paths of growth - wonderful. Pearl and her guys sure have their struggles but the form they take is spectacular. Love, acceptance and truth are always important assets to have on your side as you battle for your life and Pearl had that in spades!

Magic and a Wedding...

Pearl (Celeste) was not invited to her cousin Augustus' wedding. However, she went home looking for Noah and somehow ended up as part of the wedding party. Her entire family is in danger and the Shadow Masters are involved. See how Celeste unites her family and faces her new future.

Loved the book. Pearl has really grown since the last book, a lot more confident with herself. She still maintains her knowledge and has no problems asking for help. The guys were great and supportive. Loved the ending.

Cute and fun

Pearls stories are quote a bit more G-rated and are honestly great. They're written fir a youngest audience than what I normally read and do not sufferfor it in the slightest.
