Prompted by a tiki behind the bar, Ethan Marston tells the tale of a very personal case. When Marston and Holm go to Hawaii for vacation, they are quickly pulled into a very personal missing persons case: Holm's twin sister.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
Great series of books with good stories and would have given all five stars if not for the need for some serious editing. Typos and misspelled words distract from story. Thought it would have gotten better by this many books but has not.
Like this series, but this one was somewhat tiring. Too many side issues and scenic overviews. Needed to stay on the issue. Tried to turn a short story into a novel. As a short story, it would have been very good.
Another terrific entry in the Coastal Fury series. Editing and proofreading problems are way down from the previous book, Into The Blue. In this one, most of the Florida crew end up on a case in Hawaii.
I read the first five books of the Coastal Fury series. Loved the flow of the stories and the method with which they were delivered. The reason for the 4 stars is that the editing left many places of misplaced words, grammatical errors and structure errors. The errors broke the flow of the story. But, if you like action stories with the sea, pirates, lots of action and lost secrets - these books are for you!
Matt Lincoln had done it again !! He has such a way with words That just pulls you in and you don't to even put the book down!! Such Great a great Family of characters and his way with words , especially when describing the Local Scenery make you feel like you are there in the background observing !! I am looking for Book #4 as you read this !! Another Must Read !!!
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be sticking with this series. The story line is an interesting one…introducing the “meat” of the story through continued story telling. I kinda like it. Characters, old and new, are engaging and seem real. Editing needs a bit of work. Little things but it’s irritating if you’re into that kind of thing. Yeah, I’m hooked.
These characters and stories are truly fun reads. The bar as the home base of the stories is a really good gimmick. Nicely done Matt Lincoln. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
I picked up the first book of the series about a month ago. Just finished the fourth book and can’t wait to start the next one! Matt Lincoln has captured the perfect balance of suspense, action and humor. I can’t stop reading!
I thoroughly enjoy the coastal fury series (so far). I have completed the first four and am currently on book 5. Thanks to Matt Lincoln for creating these story telling books with good plots and characters. I plan to read the whole series. Thanks
Story line was believable in spite of a stretch now and again. But even with the stretching it was an entertaining and held my interest. I will be looking for follow-up reads.
As a pilot and diver I appreciate the authenticity of these stories. I have been reading them avidly but I have a question...is it RIB for rigid inflatable boat or RHIB for rigid hull inflatable boat?
Another fast paced and exciting story from Mr. Lincoln. The connections he weaves into the stories creates a fantastic web and makes you want to find out more.
I really like the series, but the typos are very distracting. Hanauma is spelled wrong at least twice, the parent Holms' had am s left off, please correct for future readers.
I’m enjoying the series but I do find sometime I feel like I’ve missed something with the editing issues but I do feel that each book they are getting better.
