Hit me in the heart strings

I'm going through a lot in my life with a relationship right now and this book sung to my soul. It put words to pain I didn't know I was feeling. I walked away with better insight into myself, but hope for the future of it all.

Necessary balm for a broken heart

It does not take the pain away, but rather sits in the darkness with you and helps you feel a little less isolated and alone. I wish every man was this in tuned with the inner workings of a woman’s heart, to be able to empathize and express the feelings that inevitably accompany heartbreak.

Did this book of poetry come in the mail today? Yes!
Did I start and finish it already? I sure did!! This was my early birthday gift to myself and @pierrejeanty didn’t disappoint! Ok Mr Jeanty I don’t know how you do it but I literally felt like my heart poured its words on paper and you took all the words and created this for me. I connected with every single line, in every single poem, on every single page. It felt like I sat down with you and told you everything I’ve been through in the past year and you made this book for me. The poetry in this book gave me the little boost I needed to know as a woman, “I got this” and to not settle. I refuse to settle. Ladies this book is for us! If you love HER, HIM, Apologies That Never Came, and To The Women I Once Loved just to name a few... I promise you’ll love this one too!

I just couldn't get into it. I had seen a few lines on Instagram and thought it'd be along the vibe of Rupi Kaur or Amanda Lovelace. This book just didn't carry that emotional intensity.

Basic prose

This Book was highly recommended by a friend who reads a lot. I was eager to read it, but It very basic, simplistic poetry or prose. Nothing said got my interest. I finished it hoping that it would get better but it did not. The book didn’t do it for me.

Okay book

I was hoping that this book would be a bit longer, but it was not a bad read. It’s okay.

Unspoken thoughts

I’m finalizing a divorce and a lot of this book were things I’ve always thought but was unable to adequately put into words. It makes me feel seen and validated.

This book of poetry feels like that brutally honest pep talk from your best guy friend—the one who refuses to let you sit there crying over someone who never deserved you in the first place. It’s like he’s shaking you by the shoulders, reminding you exactly who you are, telling you to stop settling for less, and making it clear that you need to move on.

At the same time, it reads like a real, raw conversation between men—one calling the other out for playing with a good woman’s heart. It’s not just poetry; it’s accountability, it’s healing, and it’s those tough-love reminders we all need sometimes.

This book may be short, but every page felt like a wake-up call, a reassurance, and a moment of clarity all in one. It reminded me that letting go isn’t just okay—it’s necessary. If you need that extra push to remember your worth, Ashes of Her Love is it.

It’s been a while since I wrote a review. This books will cut you open raw. It forces you to examine the worst parts of loving someone who isn’t worthy of your love. Loving someone good or bad often creates a fog that gives you a distorted vision of love, yet this book clears away the fog and explicitly explains why we allow ourselves to stay when we shouldn’t. While part one, burning, emotionally grapples with the struggle with staying and leaving, part 2, ashes, allows for healing and certainty that what follows will be much better than the struggle from before. This book helped me in so many ways. I highly suggest reading it.

What a pile of crap, I could write a book about how bad this book is!

Wow just wow, this is written by a gamma male a white knight about women that can do no wrong... what insane nonsense. I met a girl who had a great guy and she got bored and cheated and left him, she told me she ended up with a terrible guy who left and she is a single mom now. Guess this guy only sees men as the problem and women as saints that can do no wrong. What a giant pile of crap. The women he is describing sounds like a narrcisist and this made up guy is one as well

Short good read and relatable

Short good read. Definitely needed if you have come out of a very bad abusive relationship. Very well written. I’m not sure if it was the format on the kindle but it was kinda strange on the kindle. I’m not sure how it would be on paperback but I would definitely recommend and I applaud the writer who put in the time to understand a woman’s perspective. Thank you

If I could give this book zero stars I would. I liked probably 5 of the poems in total and that’s being generous. The poems are very bland and repetitive, AND not at all original or unique. Also, quite simplistic in it’s generalization of gender roles and feelings. To summarize... man=evil w/ a penis and woman=good w/ a uterus. Look, now you don’t have to even read it! Yeah... I can’t NOT recommend this enough.

True fit of a title

I hesitated to give it 3 stars, so 2 stars it is the beginning was rather unpoetic like, but after a few more then it started flowing, not much reaonated with me, I felt it needed more depth. Everytime I started to deeply feel those emotions something just changed and couldn't 100% resonate. Overall it eas a decent read, but perhap b/c my heart isn't astray I couldn't 100% rate it higher, good read though.

Pierre Alex Jeanty Get Out of My Head!

This author kept showing up in my newsfeeds and on my timeline so I finally chose to buy the book. I could not stop bookmarking the passages! So many of the writings resonated with me. I would read some, call a friend and tell her what I just read! Amazing read! I am looking forward to purchasing other books by this author!

Life saver

This book allowed me to see someone for who they were. It’s like the author was my inner self talking. It helps you come to terms with what you already know is true. Narcissistic people drain you. They steal your joy, finances, trust, happiness, life, soul and heart.
I could not say it enough. Must read.

This was my second time reading this book. I don't choose to reread books often, so that in itself is a clear indication that I enjoyed it. The first time I picked this up was after my divorce. It helped me to know that I was not alone in my heartbreak. I picked it up again recently and still enjoyed it. It is short, sweet, and easy to read.

A beautifully written collection that speaks directly to a broken heart in the process of healing. The words are raw, honest, and deeply comforting—perfect for anyone learning how to let go, rebuild, and rediscover themselves after love and loss. This book doesn’t rush healing; it honors it. A gentle reminder that strength can rise from pain. 💔➡️❤️

Love it

I felt it so much. I wanted to cry with some of the poems because it is all true. It spoke to my soul. It smacked my stupid self in the face. I found myself nodding and whispering "yes" to an empty room. I loved it.

And then there was one...

I don't know who you are or why you came into my life. I'm grateful for this book at an uncertain time. There were some spelling and grammatical errors, but I read through it. Thank you. Genuine. Real. My life. ♌

Riveting - Must Read

Saw a few sample poems through Instagram and flicked over to amazon to purchase the book. I’m 100% glad I did. This book has definitely been one of my favorites in a very long time. The authors writing is captivating and thought provoking.

Trite

This was filled with cliches. It relied on them heavily to get what little message it had across. There was nothing unique or moving about this book. I'm glad it was so short otherwise I would have wasted more of my time reading it.

After teaching poetry to 7th graders this spring, I just wasn’t impressed by this. Yes, a couple poems resonated with me. I can see how some people could connect to the content of these poems; I just wish they were better written and more artfully connected to each other.

Amazing Poetry

Thoroughly enjoyed the poems. It is powerful that a man could understand how a woman feels as she is going through character building experiences (aka traumatic relationship or crap).
