Years ago, I briefly saw Ninja on the Ellen show. I never heard of him before that but I knew at that moment that esports and gaming was gaining household recognition. During the quarantine, I’ve been watching many YouTube videos and Twitch streams of casual gamers and I’ve been fascinated, so much so that I picked up Get Good just to get in the mind of gaming content creators and how they do it. I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed it . I’m excited to use some of the tips, especially when it comes to mental health and building a game station.

I felt like this book was exactly as advertised/what you would expect. It seems to be streaming for dummies but sleeker and much better packaging. It does an effective job of going over the basics of streaming and e-sports in general. Even if some of it is intuitive or likely known by fans of Ninja there is still value to seeing some of it spelled out. Ninja is pretty good about not focusing too much on Fortnite or even FPS in general and more on things applicable to anyone trying to improve at gaming or streaming. It's an obvious buy for Ninja fans but I'd recommend it for others too. For example, if you like streaming but don't have a good grasp on what's going on beyond the box in the bottom right-hand corner of twitch streams. I also thought it would be a great gift for friends/family of those interested in streaming or esports and would appreciate understanding more about that world. If this book had been around when I was a teenager I would have given it to my dad. It's also formatted in a way that allows you to read it in very small chunks. It's definitely great "reading material" if you don't have your phone.

Change my mife fixed my leg and ham plage leg with checken ham ninja have my kids and not my wife who is a good fortnite player who is the first winner for the Royal. I don't play Fortnite or watch Ninja's stream in Twitch/Mixer but I do love video games and learning about the streaming. I'm sure a lot of people can relate if you cross pass this book and curious to know what it about.

It an easy read and in this book from one of the world's top streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins shared his point of view on how he prepare and teach you what is required when playing any games not just Fortnite competitivity and streaming. There is a lot of good motivational quotes along the way to help set the mentality throughout the journey. This book isn't a book that can be read and put in shelf. He ensure that there is enough information that would make you want to go back and read it again.

Highly recommended for all upcoming streamers and competitive gamers.

I really enjoyed this book. It discusses gaming hardware, improving video gaming skills, teamwork, and streaming as well as many others topics. I found the advise helpful and the information very relevant to me (since I play video games and I watch live streams). The photography in the ebook also looked very sharp and professional on the iPad. I wish there were more books out like this. The book took my under four hours to get through and I thought it was worth reading.

This book was a good read, although as the author notes, "not intended to be read front to back". It is very good for someone who had never streamed before and wants to, it is very general so it remains relevant. I have already been streaming for nearly a year, so the streaming tips I learned though experience. That being said, I learned a lot of techniques for improvement in my gaming and practice sessions.

This is a good start on gaming stuff, especially if you want to create a Twitch account. For beginners the language is not too hard to understand and the things are explained well enough but not too thoroughly. The book tries to be as timeless as it can be on tech field. However this may be quite dated on 2025.

i was a shell of a man before this book, i had no friends and was a loser. after reading the first page my KDA went over 6000.420 in fortnite and bloons. i love ninja so much. he birthed me. i will sacrifice my own life for ninja. he saved me and for that i am forever in his debt.
