Just ask her husband who frequently has to endure her bursting into song whenever the mood strikes her, feeling him up in public (one of her favorite pastimes), or rolling around in the sand with their dog - a large mutt of dubious origins who causes almost as much havoc around the neighborhood as Lexxie herself. Lexxie lives by two simple rules - measure your success not by how much money you have, but by how often you laugh, and always try everything at least once. As a consequence, she's laughed her way through many an eyebrow raising adventure.

Oh, wow. Didn’t see this one coming. Arimann Drake and a human? Yea, caught me by surprise here. But, that doesn’t surprise me with Lexxie Couper. Who else could make you smile in the middle of a hostage situation? Only, Ms. Couper.
Ari, the Cleaner and Jilly, the Norse Mythology major were an interesting couple. Add in a Druid and a clumsy Extraho Venator and you have a fascinating story. Ari couldn’t figure out why he kept going down Harper Street. Jilly couldn’t understand why she was so drawn to the man on the Hog with the muscles. Maybe because it’s been so long or maybe there’s another reason. Until he stops, gets off his Harley and knocks on her door. Then her whole life changes … for the good or for the bad?
Ari found his Fire Mate and … Ari lost his Fire Mate. She’s human. How is she going to survive the mating fire when he consummates what he can’t stop. She is his and nothing or no one will stop him or take her away from him. Not a Druid, not a dragon hunter, nothing. Kidnapped by her best friend, Jilly can’t believe everything that she is being told and forced to do. She can’t help but think that some of what is being said is true. Then she find’s out that it is and it’s too late. Will Ari understand? Will he follow her wishes? Will she give in? I really enjoyed Dragon Interrupted and can’t help but hope that Lexxie lets us know what happened.
I loved the twists and how Ari handled the situations that were thrown at him. Really, I had a wonderful time reading the whole Fire Mates series. All the stories were fun, had a little bit of excitement and just plain entertaining. Isn’t that why we read? To be entertained?
