Don’t let the job melt into your personal life.

I was never supposed to see Sawyer Westbrook again.

But she doesn’t remember who I am.

To her, I’m just another cocky firefighter looking
to score a night in her bed.

If she knew who I really was, she’d remember that

ugh

Spoilers!

Book starts with him noticing h and flirting and staring while he’s ON A DATE. He proceeds to let the poor OW hang-instead of breaking or off he just ignores her calls and texts for weeks all while seeing the h. This is a dear friend of his that he’s fwb with btw.
Every time he does anything sexual with h, even just kissing, he is thinking about previous women and how they don’t compare. Why you even thinking about OW? Everybody makes it a point to say what a great guy he is- so great he’s seeing the h without breaking it off with former lover? I like my Hs alpha. This guy was pathetic. Not even beta. It’s unfortunate too because The writing itself was great. The author has mad skills if she could come up with a better H.

Not all heroes wear capes, and firemen at 100% heroes.  They face so much danger, death, destruction with little pay to rescue people, and honestly it can take an emotional toll on them.  Isaac is one such hero, and a super hot firefighter to boot.  Emma Nichole does a brilliant job of penning the battles firefighters face, and it felt like I was there in person with them.  Sawyer has some past demons that really affect her on a daily basis.  She's just moved to a new place to take a new job when she comes across Isaac.  Little does she know that she's already met in on a very bad day but she doesn't remember it while Isaac can't get it out of his head.  He wants her, she's trying to push him away, and what transpires is an emotional journey with a ton of bumps.  Isaac is such a good man as he let her set the pace, and I fell for him hard.  I wanted to hug Sawyer so many times as well.  Their journey pulled on my heart strings, and while I thought I knew which direction Branded was going, I learned that I had no clue.  Anyway, this is an amazing story that everyone needs in their lives!  HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Emma has written one heck of a book as part of K Bromberg's Everyday Heroes World, set against Combust (my favourite Malone Brother Grady is the tie in character here) it blends perfectly into the Sunnyville family created in Kristy's books.

Isaac is the Hero of the story a firefighter that could star in any females fantasy, a man who hasn't found his woman yet and is a man passionate about his job and his crew. The book kicks off right at the heart of what fireman have to face, danger, death, trauma and learning to push those events into a box and move on. It's clear from the first few chapters where the angst and the issue's between Hero and heroine are going to come from. That said it really wasn't an problem for me, I just read in anticipation of how it was all going to fall apart instead of wondering about the why, and for me it was just as enjoyable.

The heroine Sawyer is a likeable woman, trying to start a new life after the loss of a loved one, a teacher and one nudge from fate after another she is lead right to Isaac. Their relationship was a joy to read, with a sweet yet mature chemistry and a well paced romance builds between them. The chemistry and emotional aspects between them are believable and when that precipice comes and it all begins to fall apart it definitely brought a lump to my throat. Emma still managed to pack an unexpected punch towards the end of the book and it rounded out their story beautifully.

If I was to recommend a book by Emma to a new reader, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Branded.

Holy smokes...this book... :grasps chest over heart dramatically: I loved it! From the first word to the last, this author pulls you in and keeps you just on the edge. This book starts off with the worst day of both our character's lives for different reasons. Cut to years down the line they meet again unknowing the emotional pain they share. Right away Isaac and Sawyer had my heart. To their bump into one another moment, to their hilarious banter, to their undeniable attraction, to their steamy romance, to their dramatic climax... I could go on forever. This book is one that NEEDS to be consumed. I loved every second. There were some intense moments in this book that made me feel like I was there. And this author did K. Bromberg justice. I felt like I was reading a Bromberg novel! All romance fans need to go read this book...now! And then find me so we can obsess together.

**4.5**

This was my first Emma Nichole book and I can't understand why. I loved this book so much. Isaac and Sawyer were all kinds of amazing. Their instant draw and connection was sweet but this wasn't an insta story. Isaac had to fight for Sawyer's time and affection. While they both immediately felt the attraction, the pull and the chemistry their's was a slow burn. I loved how Isaac was the perfect gentleman and took things slow with Sawyer because of her issues and he was in it for the long haul. He wasn't messing around. He was so sweet and perfect. I also loved how Sawyer recognized her issues but didn't get hung up on them and let her miss out on what ended up being the best thing for her. They both became better individuals and helped one another heal each other without even realizing it. These two were just sweet and perfect (I already said that didn't I?) and holy steamy hotness was their chemistry on fire. My only issue was that the conflict was predictable - saw it coming a from page one but the resolution really shocked me so that redeemed itself in the end. All around this was a great book that I was pleasantly surprised by and highly recommend. I suspect there will be more Emma Nichole books in my future.

This was my first book by Emma Nichole and I have NO idea why! I will be devouring the rest of her books ASAP! I don’t always have the attention span to just sit and read. Well today I did! I found this author through another author friend and I’m so glad I did! Isaac and Sawyer were EVERYTHING! This story, man! I’m a sucker for a first responder story. It’s why I read the Everyday Hero books to begin with once upon a time. It’s so awesome to be back in that world with new characters while loving on Grady too! But Isaac and Sawyer, man! Their story! It’s not easy. There are some twists and turns but my heart right now! It’s still pounding and I just don’t have all the right words. They wouldn’t do this story justice anyways! One click as soon as you can and fall into the world of Sawyer and Isaac!

Sawyer and Isaac had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.

I guess it seemed like the drama between them was a little manufactured, for lack of a better word. Was it real? Maybe...but it didn't feel that way, so I struggled with this one.

I am not able to recommend this title.

Issac is the perfect package as he is a great friend, loyal teammate and is devoted to his job as a firefighter. He was drawn to Sawyer from their first meeting and when fate keeps bringing them together, he knows that they are meant to be.

Sawyer is a teacher who has recently moved to town to try and overcome her tragic past. Although she is cautious there is no denying the feelings between them but once they remember the connection from their past will it bring them closer or tear them apart?

Isaac and Sawyer are exactly what the other needs in their life and they prove that they are so much stronger together than apart.

This book is truly Amazing, its Beautiful, and Romantic and just Everything!!

My first read of Emma Nichole and it set in Everyday Heroes World, a part of KBWorlds!

~Isaac Black & Sawyer Westbrook~
Isaac is a firefighter. One day he saved Sawyer due to the big fire in L.A.
At that time, Sawyer lived with her brother who couldn't be saved then she blamed the fireman who saved her from her house.
Isaac carried the guilt for so long even though Sawyer's brother passing wasn't his fault.
Fast forward 5 years later, Sawyer reinvents herself and moves to Sunnyville.
She works as a teacher in high school and she meets Isaac by accident at the local festival.
It can't be denied that the attraction between Isaac and Sawyer is so palpable.
Sawyer tries to deny it but Isaac's action in winning Sawyer's heart too swooned-worthy.
He is truly a gentleman and his big understanding only makes him more attractive.

The author really knows how to surprise readers.
Everything is nice and good then BAAM! the bomb of truth is dropped and it feels like I'm on the roller coaster, one time I'm high then it suddenly drops then up again.
Honestly, when I read this, the story won't end happily.
Thank goodness, all that happens only lead toward Isaac & Sawyer's HEA.
Favorite quote from the book:
But some flames never burn out; some can't be tamed or muted.
Some are branded on you forever, and sometimes you don't even know it until you least expect it.

This is the first book that I have read by Emma Nichole and it definitely won’t be my last!!! Definitely one of my top reads for 2020. I loved Sawyer & Isaac and their story beyond words!

Sawyer & Isaac captivated me from the first page to the last! I just loved Sawyer & Isaac together and separate. Sawyer was the new teacher in Sunnyville while Isaac was a firefighter born and raised in Sunnyville. I absolutely adored how their paths kept crossing. Sawyer & Isaac were meant to be!

I loved this world & these characters and I am not ready to leave them behind. I really hope that Olivia & Caleb get to tell their story in the future.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Sawyer, a new teacher in town, is trying to do her best to move on in life after a traumatic past. Meeting firefighter Isaac wasn’t something she ever planned on or willing to do anything about. Isaac is intrigued by her brush off & is up for the challenge of getting her to go out with him. As they spend more time together Isaac comes to the realization that they’ve crossed paths before, and makes a difficult decision that jeopardizes their relationship & loses her trust in him.

Isaac and Sawyer were so great together. Both are struggling to heal from their pasts with feelings of guilt and remorse. A great read in this series & I look forward to reading more!

Wow wow wow.

Another amazing story written by Emma. This one is set in K. Brombergs world. And wow, firefighters are always hot. Obviously the is no exception when it comes to Issac black.

The prologue alone drags you in and has you racing to read more, bringing up all kinds of emotions. Seeing what Issac went through helping with the fires.

Sawyer lost everything in the California fires, it’s ripped through her home, 5 years later she is living in sunnyville. Living her new life trying to get over what she lost. After meeting Issac she has reservations with getting to know him but of course who can say no to a hot firefighter. She agrees to 5 dates. But ends up with a whole lot more.

I loved how you feel their feelings growing between each other but never once does it feel forced. They may struggle to get over what happened 5 years ago, but they both help each other heal from it too.

Ahhh I love them both!

ARC received (happily so!!)

Being a fan of the Malone Brother's by K. Bromberg and the Everyday Heroes World created around that world, I eagerly have anticipated getting my hands (and eyes, cause, hello, that cover!!) on quite a few of the stories!

Branded begins with a California wildfire, and the heartbreak not only from people who have lost homes and loved ones as well as the men and women fighting the fires and devastation relentlessly.

A few years later, the scars are still there, under the surface, but as with life, learning to go on happens, painfully and sometimes that means building walls, both obvious and unseen.

Isaac is your typical cocky, sexy, and not looking for anything serious firefighter. Sawyer, on the other hand has one strict rule. No dating firefighters. Even if he's sexy, swoon worthy, and checks off all the right boxes. And is relentless in his quest to prove her wrong.

The tension developed simply knowing things Sawyer and Isaac don't made the underlying angst and consequently the heartbreak that is bound to occur, made each moment that much more intense, steamy, and at times, sweet.

Plus, having one of our favorite Malone brother's just makes things all that much sweeter.

This book was impossible to put down, even at 3 am. Get coffee ready if you don't finish it before bedtime. Or better yet, just stay in bed and read it again.

I'm a big fan of Emma Nichole's Own the Skys series and was so excited to see she was writing in the Everyday Heroes World and I was not disappointed. Ms. Nichole is a talented writer who develops her characters and storylines meticulously and gives the reader a boatload of feelings and emotions. Branded is a prime example of how well she plans out her books and executes them flawlessly.
Isaac is a firefighter through and through. He's devoted and tries not to let the job weigh him down when things don't go well. However, he cannot forget pulling a woman from a burning house in the California wildfires five years ago. She vowed to hate him for allowing her brother to die in the fire while saving her. Isaac is not a man looking for commitment but when he meets the new teacher in town he may have met his match.
Sawyer moved to start a new life and try to forget the tragedy in her past. She's stronger than she realizes but there are times she doubts herself. Once she meets Isaac their chemistry is off the charts. She tries to push him away but he offers her friendship which leads to a much deeper relationship. However, a big anniversary is looming on the horizon and once the pieces all fall into place will the truth burn them down and leave them in a pile of ash? Or will they rise from the ashes to meet the truth and the pain head on and find their HEA?
I adore Isaac, he is the perfect book boyfriend: strong, sexy, supportive, swoon worthy, protective, romantic, and loving. While Sawyer may appear vulnerable, she has an inner strength that allowed her to pick up her life, change her appearance and move to a new town.
I highly recommend this book and all other books by Emma Nichole. So grab a warm blanket, your favorite beverage and curl up with one of my favorite firemen.

Sheer romance! Oh my goodness, Sawyer and Isaac reminded me again why I love this genre. Life is funny, bringing people into our lives when we need them. Wounds from Sawyer's past have finally healed and she is ready to start living again. She relocates and a chance meeting at the fair has her colliding with a handsome firefighter. Isaac is a handsome guy, used to being single and loving it. When he lays eyes on Sawyer, suddenly being single isn't what he wants anymore. The attraction between them is electric and undeniable. It isn't long before their attraction morphs into something more. A slow burn that flashes into bonfire, Branded was beautiful, sexy and brimming with emotion. I cannot wait to see what Ms Nichole dreams up next!

I've read quite a few of the Everyday Hero Books now part of the KB World's it's fun seeing characters I already love. But I have not been disappointed at all by any of the new characters I've meant. Isaac and Sawyer do not disappoint I absolutely loved them. Isaac has to be one of the more gentle alpha males I've read in a long time which in light of this story was absolutely perfect. Sawyer's traumatic experience needed exactly that someone seemingly in control but not needing power. There was a perfect balance to every part of this story that I truly enjoyed. That I in fact really needed myself this week. Funny how books help us that way.
The love store was quick and intense yet at the same time, Isaac was the perfect gentleman and Sawyer never threw herself at him. Then of course you have a few key secondary characters I hope we get to see more of. I'm sure Herbert might need a whole instagram account dedicated to himself and once you read this you'll know why. And then Gram Jean, Isaac's grandma. She is a feisty little lady who loves to remind Isaac how he came to be. And it is hysterical! But really there is a story to be told about Sawyer's BFF Olivia and Isaac's friend Caleb and Finn I'm sure there could be one for him to or even a beautiful telling of the romance that leads Sawyer and Isaac to attend the wedding in Napa. Needless to say my first book by Emma Nichole won't be my last.

I was given an ARC copy for an honest review of this book.

This is the first book I have read by the author and I cannot wait to read more. This is another captivating read set in The Everyday Heroes World from K. Bromberg. The story opens with elements of a current issue with what is going on in California as it describes, in vivid detail, what happens during a fire and the aftermath that all involved endure. Fast forward five years and it is time for the Harvest Festival. Sawyer is a new transplant to Sunnyville and works as a teacher trying to start over. She is “a dime piece and really cool and easy to talk to, with a personality for days.” Isaac is born and bred in Sunnyville and works as a firefighter. He is dedicated to his job and takes on the weight of the world when necessary. You just know that something is going to happen when Sawyer and Isaac keep running into each other and you have to read this book to find out more. This storyline will take you on a roller coaster ride that will stir up your emotions. There are parts that will sit with you while reading and after you are done. It is a story about growth, how fate has a way of working everything out the way it is meant to be and most importantly, the healing power of love. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Branded!!

Hero fire fighter Isaac and his fire station are sent out to the wild fires where they battle to keep the fires under control during very long shifts, the wind changes direction and puts houses at risk, Isaac and his team race to get to the scene whilst there's still hope of finding survivors. Isaac enters a house and hear's screaming, the voice of a women upstairs draws his attention although the house is very unstable. The woman is rescued but her brother can't be saved.
Sawyer lost her brother in a house fire 5 years ago, she is traumatised by his death and blames the fire fighter for not rescuing him in time. she decides to move to Sunnyville to rebuild her life as a school teacher. During a yearly festival she literally bumps into a rather sexy guy and spills got chocolate down his shirt, almost scolding him. Although the circumstances, they find there's an overpowering attraction.
This is where Isaac and Sawyer's story begins, it's full of lust, fun and games and attraction but will it always be this way? When their two story's collide, it changes things but will it be forever??
You have to read this book to find out! It really has all the feels.

Branded by Emma Nichole is set in K. Bromberg's Everyday Heroes World, and I loved every single heart stopping moment of it!
Isaac? He's fascinating! So dedicated to his job, to serve, to help, but carrying a whole lot of weight on his shoulders.
And Sawyer? She's equally fascinating, a mystery I can't help but want to solve, a puzzle I want to put together, to see the full picture of who she is on all levels. I adore her friendship with Liv, and hope everyone has support like that! The way it was portrayed on the page really put a smile on my face. (I really hope there will be a story for Liv and Caleb?!)
But back to Branded. Holy moly did it leave a mark on my heart! This story took me on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey! It teased the plot out so beautifully, really didn't shy away from laying it all out for you to really experience and wallow in, the sad, the beautiful, the poignant, and especially the shmekshay!
I highly recommend this story if you're looking for a story about finding one's self, about the healing power of love, and about how fate has a way of always making things right, no matter the twists and turns along the way!

Branded is a book that follows a firefighter named Isaac, who prides himself on being level headed in the field. Get in, get out, and onto the next call, he doesn't let his personal life or professional life blend with the other. Sawyer, a high school teacher, recently moved to the small town of Sunnyville after a devastating loss of her brother from a wildfire. She has a sweet, but guarded heart in order to avoid any possible heartbreak. After running into each other multiple times, Isaac gets Sawyer to agree to five dates to prove he's not like every other hotshot firefighter only looking for a hookup. The more time they spend together the deeper their connection and feelings grow, and soon they both have fallen. What neither of them realize is they have a devastating connection that could shatter the foundation they're building with each other.

I really enjoyed this book! It was sweet and swoony, with hilarious banter, and heartbreaking experiences. I really felt for Sawyer and all the trama and heartache she experienced. Isaac is such a fun-loving, sweet and outgoing guy and I was happy to see how he could pull her out of her shell.

Isaac Black & Sawyer Westbrook.

A bit of a serendipity vibe. An out-of-town firefighter saves Sawyer Westbrook’s life during the LA wildfires, but her 17 year old brother perishes in the blaze. Five years later, Sawyer has dyed her hair, had lasix surgery, and has moved from LA to a little town called Sunset Valley to be an English teacher.

In a matter of days, Sawyer repeatedly runs into Isaac, Mr. June on the firefighter calendar: (1) at the Sunset Valley Harvest festival, (2) monitoring a fire drill at her school, (3) at the track where she’s running with her bestie, (4) then at the grocery store. Something about the firefighter taking his grandmother grocery shopping loosens her reluctance to give him a chance.

Super sweet couple. He acts the gentleman, taking it slow, showing her she is more than a conquest. She needs that.

[Don’t ask me why, but I practically outlined the rest of the book. Not kidding on the spoilers:]

This was a super sweet read but heart breaking at the same time. Sawyer went through a lot but she shined. I liked seeing her become the woman that she was. Issac was a great match for her. The banter that these two shared was great. They had that amazing connection that helped them move past the road blocks that they encountered and moved forward. They had a lot of ups, some downs but for the most part it was a very easy read that kept me hooked from the start. 4 stars for the hot man Issac is, and the awesome woman that Sawyer grew into by the end of the book. I’m not saying she was ever not awesome but you could see her personal growth and I loved that. I would love to see Caleb and Olivia get a book! I feel like something is there. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Firefighter romances has become one of my favorite tropes as of late, and this was no exception!! Isaac and Sawyer shares a heartbreaking past, but I loved seeing them overcome it! They fell in love with one another in such a beautiful and authentic way, and I loved how much Sawyer grew into the woman she was always meant to be! She was fabulous, and the way Isaac loved her was nothing short of amazing!

I'm hoping we will get more books in the series because a certain firefighter and best friend definitely have some intense chemistry!

This was a short read, but nothing felt rushed or over the top. I definitely recommend this book!

This is an emotional story of the journey of Sawyer and Isaac. How does one handle the loss of a brother, one that you tried to save and couldn’t? Sawyer suffered this loss and blamed the only one left to blame, the faceless fire fighter.

Take this trip that Emma Nichole so beautifully wrote of Sawyer and Isaac, it pulls you in and you root for these two, you want to see their HEA.

This book has everything you need, a broken heroine who can’t see how strong she is, the vulnerable Alpha male who loves with his whole heart, friends and family that make you smile and laugh, and let’s talk about the steamy parts that will for sure make you blush!

Do not miss out on this one, you will be sad if you do.

This is a new author to me and I can’t believe I waited this long to read her!! Holy hotness with the firefighters! Sawyer loses everything in the California fires and now five years later she is still trying to piece her life back together. Issac fought those fires and he is just as persistent in his personal life as he was with those fires. He isn’t taking Sawyer’s reluctance as a no, he is persistent and breaks her down to going on five dates. The chemistry between them sizzles and is undeniable. This story is brimming with emotions and love and I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next!
