Anjelica Grace’s Derailed is an angsty, sexy, emotionally charged Contemporary Romance novel written in K. Bromberg’s Driven Worlds project.

I want to save the innocent and vulnerable, right the wrongs they've faced in their young lives. I strive to give those in our care the love and support they may have never received before.

This mission, my job, brought him to me.

Liam Hayes is the most unexpected, amazing surprise of my life.

He sees me for me, accepts my career, and is just as passionate about saving kids as I am.

He's perfect.

He's also hiding something.

I can feel it, but I have no idea what it might be, or what it means for us. I only know whatever it is, it drives him forward, yet seems to hold him back, too.

One child. One case.

It’s what cements our bond. It may also be the one thing that ruins both our lives for good.

When hearts get involved, lines get blurred.

Can we overcome and grow?

Or will our lives be derailed forever?

Yes, that’s Anjelica with a ‘J’ not a ‘G’. You can thank her parents for the birth certificate spelling mix up, but it makes for a unique and fun story.

Anyway, Anjelica Grace is a Denver native living in the same suburb north of the Mile High City that she grew up in. She’s an avid reader, and blogger, turned Contemporary Romance author that has an affinity for crazy socks, Minions, and candy. But not chocolate. She's also obsessed with Colorado Avalanche hockey.

Family and friends are the most important things in Anjelica’s life, but when she’s not with them, you can find her with a book in hand, writing, or studying hard while she pursues her MS in ABA.

Anjelica started her journey off in late 2018 by publishing a short story as a part of a Christmas anthology with a group of amazing authors that helped and encouraged her along the way. Once she dipped her toe into the writing waters, that was it, she knew she couldn’t stop or look back again.

Everleigh (cool name btw) is one of those amazing people who does a job not many can do. She's an counselor, advocate for troubled, homeless, abused, what have you, children, and she's fierce. She loves her girls and does not let anyone get to them. To say she's a workaholic is an understatement. When she and a gorgeous local firefighter connect on a sneakily set up date, she knows in her heart that Liam will change her life. There's something about the broken but huge-hearted protector that calls to her. But it's that protective streak in him that just may sever the good thing they have going. Will Liam grovel enough for a second chance? Does he even deserve one?

Derailed tugs on the ol' heartstrings more than once. It's emotional, it's angsty, and Liam is one broken man fighting so many demons that I hurt for him. Everleigh, though, is the one in this story that I absolutely fell in love with. She's so strong and compassionate, doing that job that most would not, cannot, do. And I almost wondered if Liam were quite up to Everleigh's level, what with his issues making such a huge mess of things. Still, though, I loved this story and cannot wait for more from Anjelica.

I'm such a huge fan of this author, and even though I haven't read the original series this world is based on, I was captivated from the very first page!! A tortured, broken-hearted fireman and a social worker who is determined to make a difference come together and truly heal the broken parts of one another -- even the emotional scars they didn't realise they had.

Liam and Everleigh were just so perfect for one another! Their chemistry, emotional connection, the underlining friendship they had, it was all just so wonderful!! And I definitely cried a few times!!😊

You can read this book as a standalone if you haven't read the original series! I definitely recommend this book!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

What a beautifully written story of pain, Love , understanding and forgiveness. Let’s not leave out the totally HOT firefighter Liam and the one person everyone wants in her corner, Everleigh . I’m a big fan of Angelica books and feel she did well to the Driven World Series .

I thought I loved Chase and Cody. Don’t get me wrong, I still do. But nothing beats Liam right now!! I’ve been so excited for K Bromberg’s worlds to start coming out and Ms. Grace was one I was really really looking forward to! And she did not disappoint! In face this book is my new favorite of hers and Liam is most certainly a top book boyfriend of mine! He’s sweet, protective, and a lot broken. But that’s where Everleigh comes in. And let me tell you, I love this girl. First of all I admire her for her job. I’d never be able to do what she does no matter how much I’d love to. Second of all her strength is amazing. And her support, her unwavering amazing support of those she loves and most importantly Liam. I didn’t want to finish this book because I loved it so much. I loved some of the minor characters Brandon, Jess, and Addison as much as Everleigh and Liam. Not to mention some old friends from the Driven series. I’m so happy to have read this book and now I’m even a little bit sad to be finished! If you read one K Bromberg world book pick up Derailed! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Liam is a haunted and broken fireman and Everleigh is a huge hearted social worker, and these two share a passion about saving children. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and these broken souls slowly heal each other. This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and well as being filled with angst, heartbreak, passion, and is a steamy and all-consuming and is a wonderful story. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.

Everleigh is a social worker who is selfless when it comes to those she cares about and is very devoted when it come to children. Liam is a firefighter who will always be there to champion for those who need assistance.

Fate brings them together and they are drawn to each other both physically and emotionally but if they are to have a future together they must first deal with the past. Their journey is filled with heat, humor and love but it is the emotional pull of their story that makes it so special.

ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars

Derailed by Anjelica Grace is part of K. Bromberg’s Driven Worlds series and while I have not read those books it has made me want to go read them too!

Liam, former soldier, firefighter/medic has such depth and demons that you want him to find the one Person who can take him from the despair to a high he has never know and when he meets Everleigh...she may be the one to show him...

Everleigh, beautiful, strong,a counselor and advocate to homeless, troubled, abused, abandoned children, she lets nothing get in her way. When she meets Liam there is something about him...that she has never felt before..

Can these two work through all the demons, secrets, angst, emotional ties to find their HEA or will it all go up in flames? Only time will tell...

I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. Liam was a truly great character, hot, handsome, funny and utterly broken. Everleigh was an inspiration, she did the most amazing job, which in no way could I ever do, and she really loved those girls she looked after, she had such empathy for all who crossed her path and that most notably was Liam.. When Liam and Everleigh first met their chemistry was undeniable. I loved the firehouse family and how they all looked out and supported each other. There were really sad and emotional parts to this book which I won’t go into as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I would recommend this book.

Wow!!

What an amazing book this is, the author is relatively new to me and I waited a while for this book to be released. It was so worth the wait.
Liam and Everleigh's story is just wow! You don't find books like this often but when you do it leaves you wanting more, for no other reason than the story and characters are so good, so realistic.
I felt so many different emotions whilst reading this book, It certainly took me on a journey I may never recover from!!
Don't just take my word for it, buy this book and find out for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
I can't wait to read more from this author. A massive 5 stars from me x

I thoughly enjoyed reading about Liam and Everleigh. Two very caring souls that have dedicated their lives to helping others.
Everleigh is a social worker who works with young girls during the worst times in the their shattered young lives.
Liam is a return solider currently working as a firefighter along with his best friend Brandon who served with him, and one of the only people who knows liam's fears and secrets.
What happens when your secrets are brought into the light.
A very emotional read filled with plenty of compassion and heartbreak leaving you feeling raw. A wonderfully written story about healing your past pain.

Everleigh meets Liam at a fundraising event and they know there’s something special between them. Everleigh and Liam are taking things slow when it comes to there relationship. Liam is a firefighter who works long hours, sees way more than any one person should have to, and runs into danger in order to save those lives. Everleigh is a hands on counselor/surrogate mother figure at Corporate Cares Foundation and deals with a new situation every day. This was a such a great read and a great addition to the Driven World.

You know a story’s good when it makes you smile, laugh, and cry, and this one does all that and so much more. It’s an emotional tale in which you will easily become involved from the beginning, staying immersed in both Liam’s and Everleigh’s lives throughout, feeling their joy, angst, heartbreak, and, ultimately, everlasting love. This is a wonderful and completely captivating love story that at times will make you heart melt and at others, ache, all the while capturing your interest and keeping you turning pages from start to finish.

Y'all!

Anjelcia stole my heart again.

Everleigh is all I want in a heroine. She is smart, funny and so beautiful. She sets limits and boundaries and doesn't defer from them. And I love it. And Liam.. LIAM. He is sexy and swoony and man ole man does he make my heart race. I volunteer to help take care of him.

This story will bring out any and all feelings that are in the dictionary. It hooked me and drug me right inside. The way the characters chemistry sizzled. It was heartfelt. And I honestly couldn't put it down! I loved it!

Oh my goodness. I loved this book. I had so many emotions reading this book. Happiness, sad, anger, hurt, disappointment. You name it I felt it. Plus what's not to like about a sexy hot firefighter/ medic that was a soldier. Liam and Everleigh are a great couple who has their ups and down but manage to make it through it all.

OMG…I loved Derailed. I loved how Everleigh and Liam met and there first date. Anjelica Grace, author, did a wonderful job of engaging her readers (specifically me, lol) and keep them entertained but also showcasing firefighters and counselor of children who were abused or abandoned. There is so much I want to say but won’t as I really don’t want to spoil this read for anyone. In fact, I will say I highly recommend you read this book. No, I take it back it is a must read. Anjelica was able to capture the life and the emotions counselors and firefighter go through. They see and experience so much. On top of that Liam is a veteran of war. Ok, I will not go into any more details just know that this book was very well written with some tough subject but done in a way that while you may think of the subjects that come up but the focus is on Everleigh’s and Liam’s position and interactions. This is the first book I have read from Anjelica Grace and I know it will not be the last. I am definitely putting her down as fave authors to watch out for. Derailed is the 10th book from the Driven World and the third book I have read from this series and I have to say I have immensely enjoyed all of the books I have read in this series and I am looking forward to reading more. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

I really enjoyed this story! Had a hard time putting it down. There’s angst, love and loss. Complete roller coaster of emotions! Liam and Everleigh have an instance connection that can be felt while your reading.

I’m not a huge fan of cussing in books. You will get the f word quite a bit. That’s my reason for not a full 5 stars. Just preference.

I Would recommend.

Wow

I truly loved Everleigh and Liam’s story. I love the big heart she has and the way she protects her girls but puts herself out for others. Liam is so confusing but also has a heart of gold. I love that this shows Even though your upbringing is not the best you can be the best! I can’t wait to get to the rest of the books in the driven world

Super Emotional Realistic Journey
With a bit of a slow start, for me anyway, this quickly turned into one of the most heartfelt, gutting, realistic romances I've read. Everleigh meets Liam at a fundraising event and they know there’s something special between them. Enter now, meddling and all-knowing sister here. Addison was sneaky, sweet, and got them their very first coffee date. Taking it slow, they did get to know each other more over texts and phone calls.
Liam, is the very epitome of an ideallic HOT and caring firefighter who works long hours, sees way more than any one person should have to, and runs into danger in order to save those lives. Everleigh is a hands on counselor/surrogate mother figure at Corporate Cares and gets to ride that emotional rollercoaster every day. The good days make it all worth every tear and heart break. CC is a nonprofit godsend for girls and boys coming from any bad situations. They step in to be and do whatever is needed and is best for the minors. That includes loving them, and yes, getting emotionally attached.
Emotional upheavals just from this corner alone, then add all the emergencies Liam responds to on the regular, it can become sensory overload. When situations crossover, things just get messy and spiral out of control for Liam. The series of events in play that add to the derailment I think, are all too common in this real world of ours-may be triggers here.
So well written, I had to keep reading.
I cried, I laughed, and I rooted for the kids always!
Most of all I rooted for Liam, for the boy he had been, for the one he hadn't gotten to be. To get the second chance he deserved, at living life, and loving and living with Everleigh. If he was truly guilty of anything, it was loving with every fiber of his being, wanting to always protect those he loved, and feeling a failure to too many.
I love and need my HEAs at the end of any journey, and this was awesome.
I received an advance reader's copy from the author. This review is voluntary and my own honest feelings of Derailed.
