After reading the first 8 books Cully appears in this one by name but is a completely different character by actions. It can't be the same man.

I have been fortunate enough in having the opportunity to follow Cully throughout all of his many exciting, but this one has a lot of body to it. The bad guys don't have a chance, once Cully and crew arrive on the scene. It is one adventurous extravaganza after the other!

As always, with Mr. Slade at the helm, definitely befitting of five stars and more, if available. Solid western adventures from beginning to end. Gunplay galore. Don't pick up this book to read unless you can finish it before bedtime, as you definitely cannot lay it aside until the final word is read.
Some of the best storylines and character selections you will ever had the opportunity to follow. A very compassionate masterpiece, and surprisingly, no romancing involved. Great camaraderie among all the good guys as they tend to bring justice to the forefront. Definitely recommend this outstanding western masterpiece to everyone. Will definitely be your loss if you turn the opportunity down. The entire series is great, and I believe it consists of nine books, all being five stars worthy!

I was a little upset with Orris Slade from the beginning. I read book number 8 and it ended with Cully between two women. I wonder who Cully will woo, is Genevieve or is it Maria? I expected at least Chapter one to cover the story that was dropped in book eight. Cully stated his love for Genevieve in book 8 but he has never told Maria that he loved her, So I guess the winner of Cully's heart will be Genevieve. Now to book No. 9. Cully has become a braggard and a Bully. In this book he constantly boasts of his abilities with a gun but states that the other men are not his equal. Cully's quest for money may be his undoing. He takes on work for the dollar that puts him the league with the outlaws. His accepting work as a saloon hired gun was below his standards even though he was a partner in the business. Overall it was a pretty good story line but left out the good traits that Cully possess. Mr. Slade, What is the outcome of the confrontation between Genevieve and Maria? Which will be Cully's soul mate?

Cully is a bounty hunter and he figures that a boomtown like Creede would have plenty of bad hombres with a price on their head. He stops in at the Willow for dinner and promptly get hired as head of security, when he peacefully settles a dispute that was about to lead to someone getting killed. Seems the crooked owner of a large saloon down the street is trying to cause trouble at the Willow, to drive them out of business. But the Willow is about the only honest saloon and gambling house in town and the city fathers are getting tired of the trouble causing rif-raf from the other bar. Another good read in this series.

An OS. Western Action Adventure (C:B) (CTBHB. -9)

OS. has penned a western action adventure about Cully, the bounty hunter. In the ninth novel Fully shows up in a new boomtown and acts as a Security Specialist in the biggest saloon owned and operated by an honest man. The saloon is making money hand over fist and one of the other saloon owners is raging and hired a team to blow up the current saloon. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Good series

Seems slow at times ,then it speeds up in dramatic fashion. I have enjoyed all the series so far. Very easy read. I appreciate the freedom from sex interference. It is not needed to make a good read.
