Camilla “Cami” Chandler comes home from France to take over the Chandler Hill Inn and Winery for her recently-deceased grandmother, Lettie, as she’d always promised. Determined to succeed in this new venture, she finds herself in trouble from the beginning when she discovers most of her grandmother’s estate intended for maintaining the inn’s business expenses was lost in a Ponzi scheme. She forges ahead to provide her guests with wonderful experiences and to produce the best wines in Willamette Valley. After being ditched by her French boyfriend, she decides that being friends with Drew Farley is the safest way to proceed. He loves grape growing and winemaking as much as she does and isn’t looking for anything beyond friendship.
When a bride planning a wedding at the inn tells Cami that she looks exactly like her best friend, life becomes even more complicated. Never having known even the name of her father, Cami searches for a connection and comes to realize how complicated love and family can be.

Coming Home is the second installation of the Chandler Inn series. Though this is book #2, it is a great stand alone book. ⁣

Camilla ‘Cami’ Chandler’s grandmother Violet ‘Lettie’ passed away and left her the Chandler Inn, the Winery, and the gorgeous land. Cami comes home from France to the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon, back to the Inn where she grew up in. As a 24 year old fine arts major with no experience running an Inn, Cami surely is a natural as she enjoys welcoming and greeting her guests, and eases her way naturally into her new knack in hospitality. Moreover, Cami is armed with her strength and unbridled determination to get through every challenge that comes along the way to ensure that the Inn and Winery thrives. ⁣

Judith Keim writes a beautiful story full of amazing cast of characters that you will love and a share of those you will definitely hate! This is such a heartwarming story that is beautifully written that I truly enjoyed. The book moved fast and is such a quick and light hearted and heart warming read. I cannot wait for more books in this series to learn more about the Chandler family. ⁣

For those that love an amazing story about family bonds, resiliency, and well developed characters, this definitely is the book for you! I am now a fan of Judith Keim and highly recommend this book and look forward to Book #3 releasing in the spring of 2020. ⁣

This is the second book in the Chandler Inn Series. I recommend that you read the books in order to get the maximum satisfaction.

Book 2 in the series takes us back to Oregon and the Chandler Inn and winery. Lettie has died and left the land and the inn to her granddaughter Cami. Even though Cami is young, she has a love of the land that is similar to her grandmothers. Cami faces great challenges to learn to run the Inn and the winery but she is resilient and caring like her grandmother and is able to handle all the road blocks with her 'family' who works there and her memories of here grandmother. She is also helped by her grandfather and Drew. Even though there is an attraction between Cami and Drew, she doesn't want to get involved with anyone after the way her French boyfriend hurt her. As Cami tries to make changes at the Inn and move forward by becoming a wedding venue, she has roadblocks at ever turn - from the hotel manager who is taking kickbacks to her French boyfriend who tries to get back into her life. With the help of the employees and Rafe and Drew, she is able to make the Inn and winery a success. Will she find love or will the land be enough to satisfy her?

I am looking forward to book 3 in the series to find out how the Chandler family continues to change in the upcoming years.

Thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book to read and review.

There is so much to love about this book. This is the 2nd book in the Chandler Hill Inn series. It can definitely be read as a stand alone, but I would highly encourage reading the first book to really understand the background of the full story. Lettie, Cami's grandmother passes away and leaves Chandler Hill Inn and Winery to Cami. With little knowledge on how to run an Inn she has some big challenges to overcome including financial and employee issues. Her character is strong and resilient. I saw her as a role model with good business sense, grape knowledge and the will to succeed. I hope there will be a 3rd book in the series as there is so much more to this story. I also really love the setting and how she works hard to keep her employees happy and considers them family.
Thank you to the author for an ARC of this story. This review is in my own words.

This is book 2 in the Chandler Hill Inn series. I haven't read the first book. This is also a stand alone novel. Cami returns home from France when she inherits her grandmothers winery and Inn. What she finds is that her grandmother's money has been swindled in a ponzi scheme. To make matters worse her boyfriend breaks up with her. Cami is determined to make the Inn and winery a success. There are several plots that weave this all together. I loved the characters, I was rooting for Cami and the setting is delightful. I'm totally invested in this series now and will go back to the beginning and read book one. This was a beautiful story of coming home, family and finding your place. I highly recommend this.

I knew from the beginning of the book this was going to be a favorite because when Cami came to take over Chandler Hill Inn and Winery, she went to her grandmother's favorite spot. When she closed her eyes, the memories that came gave her the answers she needed. She didn't know a lot about the business but she had promised her grandmother she would take over the business.
Her grandfather was there to help her and she met Drew who only wanted to be friends which was perfect because her French boyfriend had just ditched her. As she started to take over the business. she discovered a lot of the money that was supposed to help her maintain the business was lost in a Ponzi scheme. Then she discovered the one that was in charge while her grandmother was dying had been making side deals. She hired a lawyer who helped her get things sorted out and they became friends. As things started to look up, her French boyfriend arrived and wanted to get back together and run the business together. She said no it would never happen so he decided to be her competition.
Cami never knew who her father was and when a bride was planning her wedding she said you look just like my best friend. She starts to wonder if that girl's father could be her father. As Cami said, she had big shoes to fill, she had many challenges but she had many wonderful friends and the memories of those that had passed away to get her through.
There is never a dull moment. This book just grabs your attention from the beginning and the story is so well written that as I was reading, my mind just had the images so it was like a movie in my head as I read the book. I read an ARC but I have preordered it to have in my collection.

Linda' Book Obsession Reviews "Coming Home" by Judith Keim

"Coming Home" by Judith Keim is the second book in the Chandler Hill Inn series. I loved the first book, "Going Home" and think that is best to read both books to have a greater understanding of the significance of the story.  "Coming Home" is an emotional, captivating, romantic, intriguing and intense novel. The themes for this novel are Fiction, Women's Fiction, and Romance. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author vividly describes the vineyards and the rooms in the Inn. I want to pack my bags and immediately visit. The author describes her colorful cast of characters as complex, complicated, determined hardworking. Some are ruthless, and there are betrayals.

"Cami" Chandler comes home from France, broken-hearted over a failed romance to take over The Inn and Winery that has been left to her by her deceased Grandmother Lettie. Her Grandfather Rafe is there to help provide emotional support. Cami finds out that some of the monies she inherits from her Grandmother have been lost in a Ponzi scheme, so she has to be careful and moderate in her spending.  Cami realizes that she will have to find people that she can trust. There are twists and turns, and suspense.

I highly recommend this entertaining and thought-provoking story.

Once again Judith Keim has written another Chandler Hill book that leaves you waiting for the 3rd book.
Cami's grandmother Lettie nonnie has passed away and she inherits the family vineyard and estate. She has not only lost her grandmother nonnie but her boyfriend Bernard. She is left with a lot of responsibility and a grandfather Rafe that loves her and will help her do whats necessary to keep the high standards of Chandler Hill.
The characters are terrific and you will find that you love and hate them. Jonathan who worked with nonnie and somehow thinks he is going to run the whole operation. He has big plans of his own and is spending large sums of money. So her initial job is to fire and reorganize her help. Becca becomes her valued assistant. Nonnie had a lot of loyal help that worked with her for years and they are willing to keep working for Cami. As time goes by Cami learns more and more about the Inn, clients, and workers. As things finally get on track they hire Beccas friend Vanessa who runs the wedding venue and everything is moving in the right direction. Then Bernard shows up without notice thinking he will get back with Cami and have a comfortable life.
I won't tell you any more other then this is a must-read full of surprises not only leaving you wanting to read it again but patiently waiting for the next volume in this series.

Coming Home is the second book in the Chandler Hill Inn Series but can be read as a stand alone. Cami leaves France and her ex-boyfriend Bernard to take over the Chandler Inn and vineyard that she inherited from her late grandmother Lettie. As Cami tries to improve the Inn and Wedding venue, she is faced with backstabbing employees and the return of Bernard. Cami has never known her father. When a bride planning a wedding tells her she looks just like her best friend, she starts an investigation into finding her father. Her grandfather Rafe just wants Cami to leave it in the past and so does her new friend Drew who also never knew his parents.

This is the first book I have read by Judith Keim and I really enjoyed this story. The story moves along quickly and is a light and easy read. Faithful employees become lasting friends that are like family. Family secrets are revealed and new love is found. The characters are interesting and realistic. Some of them you love and some you love to hate. I enjoyed this book so much, I am going to read the first book Going Home. Thank you to Judith Keim, Wild Quail Publishing and Kate Rock Book Tours for an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I LOVE books by Judith Keim and this one certainly did not disappoint. Coming Home is a wonderful book which I highly recommend to all readers. This story about Cami who inherits her grandmother's Inn and Winery takes you along for the ride with excellent characters and puts you into their lives and secrets. It leaves you on edge always wondering what is going to happen next. It was a compelling read and the author has such a gift for getting the reader right to the heart of things. Cami's hard work at learning how to run the Inn and produce the best grapes shows what a strong business woman she is. Meeting Drew, who has the same likes as she does, but certainly is not looking for anything beyond friendship, can always change. I will definitely be looking for more from this amazing author! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I loved this book, although it is the second book in the series you could easily read it as A stand alone if you did not read the first one. That said I recommend you read both as book one was just as great.
This book starts when Camo Chandler returns from France to take care of her dying grandmother and take over as head of the Chandler Inn and Winery.
Unfortunately shortly after her beloved Bonnie passes she learns that some bad investments made when she was ill by the "manager" were bad and finances are in trouble...doing some house cleaning and reorganizing she manages to maintain and keep up the standards her grandmother set. She finds out who are true friends and who are foes...without giving any spoilers, I will just say I lived this story and highly recommend it. I listened to this on audible and narration was great. I am sure just as good reading it.

This second book in the Chandler Hill series was as engaging as the first, Going Home.
Cami Chandler inherited an inn from her grandmother, and has her hands full managing the inn, the winery, fickle employees who are out to backstab her — all while getting over a painful breakup with her French fiancé. With all if this on her plate, how can she find time for love? Or, is it just possible that love will find her while she’s not looking?
This enjoyable book keeps you reading, cheering for Cami’s successes, and longing for the next book in the series.
I received an advance reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Judith Keim, for this gem!

There's an old saying, "one bitten, twice shy." Drew and Cami were both unlucky in love and were absolutely sure neither of them needed a long term relationship. Introduce a few unsavory characters, some unscrupulous business associates and the want of Cami to know who her father was, makes for a cast of characters written with a depth and style that makes for a truly enjoyable read. This is the second in the series and with any luck there will be more to follow. A must read for all fans of Judith Keim.

Coming Home is the 2nd book in the Chandler Hill Inn series. Cami has inherited the inn after the death of her grandmother, and we follow the up and downs that happen as people she trusted don't appear to have been friends in the first place. This is a very enjoyable read, and will touch at all the heartstrings. You could read this book as a stand alone but in my personal opinion it is much better to have read the first book of the series before starting this one. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

In book two of the story Cami, Rafe and Lettie's granddaughter comes home to run the Chandler Inn. Cami was raised as a child by Lettie and then returned to her mother in Africa when she was about three. So she has a bases with her grandparents. Her mother is tragically taken away from her when she is six and so she returns to the Inn to live. After she graduates she moves to France to learn about their wine making techniques but is again called home when Lettie becomes sick. We learn about Lettie and Rafe's love or each other and how it has grown over the years and also see how Cami's love interest is not all he is cracked up to be. Book two is as good as book one and now on to book three. Can't stop reading these stories.

Well written, must read

As good or better then the first book. Couldn't put it down. Again having lived in the Willamette valley for 8 years, I'm very impressed at the accuracy of the reference to location's and magic of this books location. Many wineries in the area as well as breweries, fine dining etc. Story is very moving, and Ms Keim writing, story telling captures readers interest so well. I felt like I was transported. Now. For book three. I don't want this series to end

Wonderful addition to the series

This is the 2nd book in the Chandler Inn series. Lettie has passed away, leaving the Inn to her granddaughter, Cami. It is the story of Cami making the Inn work with help from her grandfather and some loyal friends. There are others who are not so loyal and hope to ruin the Inn. It is also the story of Cami finding love and learning about her father. There is a lot of depth to the characters, and I encourage you to read Going Home, the 1st book, to get the full enjoyment of the story.

I loved this 2nd. in this series. With Cami taking over Chandler Hill and how she deals with everything. How people from the past and new employees try to take advantage of her. How she deals with it makes you see how strong she is and the motives she has for doing things her own way. This series is a must read. I could not put it down for wanting to find out what happens next. A GREAT READ. Awaiting the next book that comes out next week.

What a wonderful book! COMING HOME is a fast paced lovely story filled with vibrant characters and a pleasing plot. I particularly enjoyed the twists Ms Keim wove throughout the story. Just when you thought things were going smoothly...surprise! Each event was unexpected and added a richness to the book.

COMING HOME is a true page turner which engages the reader from beginning to end. This book is pure entertainment and just flat out amazingly enjoyable!

This book is a very charming read. I was determined to read this book after I read the first in the series. The characters are easy to fall in love with and are able to face challenges with grace. I was bothered with how Cami addressed her family line and her desire to be married. Overall, this was a good read showing perseverance, community, the development of relationships, and so much more.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great book

Book two in this series was a much more laid back read than book one. While I loved much of the storyline there was just too many deaths. Thank God no one I was invested in died in book two. We still had drama and romance, how the Inn was changing and more about winemaking. Altogether a very good book.

Engrossing characters, great story

Well-described characters and settings. A FULL story, even though we know it arcs into the next book. Some of the “endings”I could see coming, but enough surprises snuck in there to keep me guessing.

Great things continue to happen in Cami’s life as she takes on the responsibilities left behind by her grandmother, Lettie. Cami, now the owner of Chandler Hill, faces trials and enjoys many victories as time goes on. It’s an awesome journey!
