Rate this book
Myra Michaels has been a personal slave to Kace Cox for far too long. She’s tired of him making her work all hours of the night and taking long work trips with just the two of them that could have been an email. She’s also really tired of the uncontrollable attraction she feels for him and she’s got to get away from it. But the day she quits, she makes an even bigger mistake and now she’s got a secret baby bump to think of. Hiding out in a reclusive billionaire's castle sounds like a great plan. That is until Kace comes knocking.

Kace Cox has wanted Myra since the moment she walked into his office. But his policy of not sleeping with employees leaves no room for his desires. He’s waited all this time and hasn’t touched another woman since the day he laid eyes on her. So when Myra quits she’s finally fair game. He gets just one taste of her and then she disappears, but she has no idea how determined he can be.

Warning: What could possibly happen when he finds her?! Get toasty with us, because you know it’s a steamy happily ever after!

The plot in a nutshell: Caveman grabs a woman, deflowers her, and knocks her up in the process. Woman flees, caveman captures her again, woman turns out to love cavemen and especially this one. Lots of sex ensues, in-between woman tells caveman she’s pregnant. Caveman: “We would have had kids anyway!”. Two epilogues with escalating numbers of children and some more caveman behaviour.

One star out of five.

Well, listened to this novella through Read Me Romance podcast.

All I can say, it was the very first time I kept saying out loud "Stop screwing and tell him about the baby, already".

It was a great read to treat as foreplay but I felt like there was no plot to follow. Usually, we get the story behind these short and filthy novellas but recently I have been feeling like Alexa Riley is giving up. Like, we came up with everything that we could have and now this is what's left in a pot.

Book 2 or couple 2 we met these in Cozy. And this was on ReadMeRomance Podcast. And now its on ebook so you can pick and choose.

Myra finally FINALLY quit her job with her bossy boss Kace from what we read in her sister's book (near the end) now lets go back abit She and Kace had one night of passion in a limo (at the fist party) before she bolted and ran away from him and quit. Kace has been looking for her for the pass 6 weeks. Nothing until his annoying smug cousins informs him Myra's sister is getting married and he has a invite.. this is his chance.

And gotta say that chance was like pulling teeth.. because Myra was stubborn and few times she was annoying to me..also was keeping that tiny secert that she is prego from him even if it was only few hours she just found out. So lots of push away from her.. until she finally gave in.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, Sexy times, virgin gal & no manwhore

"Toasty" is the story of Myra and Kace.

Another super sweet story, with a frustrated h and a grumpy H, who was her tormenting boss..that is until her sister's wedding, when she quit and they heavily bang! After some pushing away, a bun in the oven is discovered, followed by grovel, more lovemaking and a HEA!

Enjoyed it.

A short cute love story!

Myra works as personal assistant to the CEO Kace Kox. Long hours, difficult days, interstate work trips, impossible boss, impossible situations. She had stop herself to many times from quitting....
She cannot suspect one thing. Kox is trying everything to make her quit...
Funny, sweet romance reading.

Toasty… Sigh, I honestly don’t know what to say. It had the “been there, done there” vibe from the beginning. And although I am usually a fan of book series, this felt forced in a “we just have to put two people together, but we don’t care who anymore” way.

A fun quick read even if Kace did piss me off. I wanted Mayra to hold out longer against him but I always do lol. It was probably an appropriate amount of time for how long the book is. I like that the second epilogue tied the two books together.

I’ve been reading some heavy fiction lately, and I find it helps to take breaks from it with these short and ridiculously over-the-top romances.

This is standard Alexa Riley fare, with a vanilla virgin heroine and a grumpy, overly possessive, slightly stalkerish hero. It didn’t sit so well with me that the Kace, who’s Myra’s boss, gave her such a hard time specifically so she would quit and he can pursue her without being plagued by his conscience, but then this IS an AR book, so how get together is beside the point. What counts is that after all the pining and the angst there’s some really hot sex, a HEA, and an epilogue with kids. AR has always been my go-to for really short and smutty reads, and this didn’t disappoint. 3 stars.

Loved it
This the story of Myra (Pippa's sister) from cozy , Myra and Kace were so cute and funny together, they were like Tom And Jerry 😍
Sex scenes were so hot plus 2 cute and naughty epilogues
I really want Bruce , kace's cousin to have his own story because he is such a bad bad boy 😉

Alexa Riley is back in all their naughty glory complete with baby batter and limo shenanigans, and that was just the prologue *wags eyebrows*. This is Pippa’s sister from Cozy, and her boss, Kace. They have a steamy night together and then she takes off. No need to worry my reading peeps, he tracks her down and they get their hea, complete with 2 epilogues. Oh, did I mention Alexa Riley is back *happy freaking dance*.

I was so looking forward to this one. The whole time I was reading Cozy, I wanted to know about Mr. Cox and Myra...but this was a total letdown! I didn’t like Myra at all. She was a raging witch in my opinion. Plus I kinda liked the idea that Kase was a butthead trying to get her to quit UNTIL I found out she had worked for him for YEARS?!?! Yeah not my idea of an possessive alpha that doesn’t do anything besides be a butthead for years trying to get the woman he wants. Anyway while I really liked Cozy, I wish I had passed on Toasty.

3 stars. Good, but I preferred the first book more only because I didn't like our hero here, Kace. He was too much of an ass but by the end he was tolerable I guess. The epilogues were cute and I did still really enjoy it overall. I'm just glad AR is back and I'll keep saying it.

***Read Me Romance podcast***

The story was decent, but I just didn't feel the connection between the MC's.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5
Hot, hot, hot!

I really liked this book and how growly Mr. Cox was! This had a lot of my fav Alexa Riley tropes with the exception of breeding my absolute fav :(.

Myra was a sweet but very independent heroine. She was strong, stronger than her little sister in my opinion. She embodied the modern working woman in my opinion. She seemed a little more realistic compared to Pippa (not that these books are supposed to be realistic).

Kace Cox was a grumpy hottie who has been waiting for his heroine for a long time. He was possessive and intense, but quite loving. I really liked that he wasn’t reluctant.

Hopefully there will be a book for Bruce...

This book was only a 4.5 because I was really hoping for the signature AR trope of breeding. It is my absolute favorite and a lot of authors don’t do it right Or do it at all. For me, it is what sets AR apart from other authors so I am really disappointed that there wasn’t any in either of their new books. I hope the next ones have some...

Overall, I would highly recommend!

Trope summery:
Virgin? Heroine, but unclear hero
Pregnancy? Yes!
Breeding? No :(
Reluctance? Yes, heroine
Age gap? Unclear, but likely
Any other? Boss/employee

Kace Cox is an asshole.. I don't know why I finished or started this when I didn't liked the first book in this serie this much.. but I did it and I didn't like Kace or Myra. 🙄

Apparently it okay to be an asshole if you rich and hot. Then you can just get away with it.. with a smile or a please. 🥰

This was so rush.. like a lot.. like so freaking much but then again.. what did I expect?
It was okay.. if you like a rush office boss vibe kind of book..

I still think Kace is an asshole.. 😒 but okay.

This was a light, fun read. It’s brief since it was a podcast, but still enjoyable. A few of the things the Hero did would creeper like in real life, but it’s fiction. It’s insta attraction and enemies to lovers all in one. Throw in a surprise baby, and BAM!

Short, smutty and full of insta-love that I love about an Alexa Riley book. I love a secret baby especially when the baby daddy is a millionaire on the stalking end of finding his one true love. Loved reading this book.

I think the story was good I didn't care for some of the H's actions that bothered me enough to not really like him.
