Gah!! I was so excited to see Deacon was getting a story and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!! If you are not avid Tia readers, you got glimpses of Deacon in both Wait For Me and Here With Me (which were both incredible and you need to read them too)! Reckless Kiss was perfection! It was a gripping fairytale filled with mystery, suspense, and family loyalty.
From the first kiss, Deacon knew Angelica was it. But years later when they were ready to settle down meeting her family did not go as planned.
Angelica was always told to stay away from Deacon, but she didn’t listen. Now her family wants to keep them apart and she was about to learn just how far they would go.
I could not put this book down! Seriously, I stayed up way too late but I had to know how it all worked out. I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, praying for it to end the way I wanted! Tia did not disappoint with this book. Absolutely stunning!!

There’s something about Tia Louise novels that both take my breath away and give me life! Reckless Kiss did both several times as I read Deacon and Angel’s story. From the very start I was completely lost to the story. I never knew what was going to happen, but I just knew that I needed Angel and Deacon together. Their chemistry was electric and charged every single page! I couldn’t put their story down and I wanted it to last forever at the same time! This story was just...wow! Definitely one-click worthy and I’m just so excited that I get to relive it again on audio! I can’t wait for that! 5 stars.

Holy crap! This story just melted my heart! This book is a little piece of Heaven right here! Deacon and Angel have a love story for the ages!! The drama, intrigue and suspense in this story are a DEFCON 5!! I never knew what was going to happen, I kept guessing the next scene, I only prayed that in the end I survived turning the page!!! The sex was off the charts hawt!! Lord have mercy the chemistry between Deacon and Angel was amazing! I absolutely loved this story. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions that I would gladly pay to ride again!! Loved it!!❤️

This is an absolute must read. I had such a hard time putting it down when I had to step back into the real world. I loved every second of it. The characters were some of her best and I love all of her characters. This forbidden love/family feud story is so well written and the hea was one of the best. I can't say enough good things about this story. Definitely read it!!

Reckless Kiss, by Tia Louise, is a stand alone, forbidden love romance. This book had the feel of The Hatfields and McCoys, as far as there are two warring families, for reasons no one is even sure of anymore. But true love is stronger than any misguided hatred. They will find a way to make things right and to be together forever.
Angelica (Angel) Trevino was fifteen years old when she came to Texas from Mexico after the death of her mother. Her brother left her with her cousins and then he again disappeared, leaving her to adjust to a new life. She was feeling so low the day she literally ran right into the most beautiful boy she had ever seen. When they looked into each other’s eyes, a forever bond formed. And one reckless kiss sealed them together forever. But Angel is warned by her cousin to stay away from that boy. She won’t divulge why but apparently his family did something to her family long ago. But Angel knows, there is no way she can stay away from her handsome prince.
Deacon Dring grew up wealthy and privileged. The day the beautiful girl ran into him and their lips touched, his life was forever tied to hers. He had to go off to boarding school, but they would find a way to see each other.

He embarks on a mission to unearth the history that’s been kept hidden all these years. He will not rest until he finds a way to make things right so he and Angel can be together. The hatred her family holds against his is deep and strong, though, and their paths are riddled with tragedy.
I have loved every book of Tia’s I’ve read. For some reason, although I enjoyed this so much, I couldn’t find the connection to the characters I had in the other books. What I did love, though, was that the love was so strong between these two. They would go to any means to be together. I loved the way Deacon fought for her, the way he would do anything to make her happy. The ending was beautiful. These two really were perfect for each other in every way. This is a sweet, sexy and very intense love story between two people who have to fight against everyone they hold dear to find the way to be with the person they love. And I think it’s also the story of one man’s dedication to the woman he loves, and to make right a wrong in history so that his future will include the girl that stole his heart all those years ago with one reckless kiss.

Reckless Kiss is Tia Louise's newest stand alone about a couple with a feuding family. Angel and Deacon meet when they're teenagers and quickly fall for one another. They're together for years in secret due to a family feud, though neither knows how deep or serious this feud runs. Even though their families don't approve of them being together, they're not willing to give each other up.
I loved both Angel and Deacon but my favorite part of a romance is watching a couple fall in love. I feel like we missed that in this book. The couple was together from page 1 and it lacked that falling in love progression for me. Still, I very much enjoyed these two as a couple and loved watching their romance progress. I loved how devoted they were and that they weren't willing to let anything or anyone tear them apart.
I listened to the audio book of Reckless Kiss and it was narrated by Jason Clarke (who always does an incredible job) and Samantha Brentmoor (who was new to me, but did a great job) and they both voiced Deacon and Angel magnificently. The audio book was fantastic and I highly recommend giving it a listen.
Overall, I liked this forbidden, yet sweet romance. It had some Romeo and Juliet vibes but thankfully the ending wasn't tragic.

Prepare to be swept away. Reckless Kiss rages in like a fierce storm and sets fire to the soul. Deacon and Angel are a beautiful tragedy that long to have so much more. Louise lets emotions do the talking and the characters are just along for the ride. Powerful, unpredictable and unforgettable will take your breath away.

WOW! Reckless Kiss is a beautifully written, forbidden love story, that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Deacon & Angelica's relationship started when they met as teens, and their love for each other grew over the years. But will a long running family feud, which they knew nothing about, halt their dream of being together? Deacon is a determined, intelligent man who will do whatever it takes to be with his one true love, while Angelica would do anything and go anywhere, even giving up on her dream of becoming an artist for the love of her life. This book is definitely my new favourite of Tia's (and I love all of her books) I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

I DEVOURED this book. Deacon and Angel are steamy, hot fire. Reckless Kiss takes you on an emotional journey of a mysterious family feud, forbidden love, and overcoming hatred/prejudices.
Deacon says it best. "It's a good omen. It's like us - I'm the raw ingredients, and she's the color, the music, and the flavor."
I love Angel's strength and her steel backbone. Despite her brother trying to control her, she stands tall and holds her ground. I love independent, strong heroines that can hold their own with the alpha males in their lives.
The connection between Deacon and Angel can't be denied. Their chemistry explodes throughout the pages of this book.
"Our kisses are reckless, but they're not irresponsible."
Another amazing book by Tia Louise - you won't be disappointed.

Reckless Kiss by Tia Louise allows us to witness this kind of love. The kind of love that runs so deep both people will work towards making whatever they have to make it good for the other. They are a unit over the years, no distance can separate them, no personal conflict can shake them. They are a solid unit so all outside forces trying to tear them apart have no way to succeed in the end.
It is not easy to write these types of love stories. There are too many pitfalls to master. The beauty is Tia Louise managed all of them and I thank her for it. There were strong character arcs, the necessary drama and steam, and the layering needed for an excellent read.

I have read a ton of Tia Louise’s books and have loved them all!!! This particular book was not my favourite of hers though. In saying that though, I have to admit I have been extremely distracted with my Grandson visiting. I found it hard to get into the story most of the time but there were times that I became more absorbed than others.
At some point I would like to do a reread and hopefully it will change my overall experience with the story!!!
I have read a ton of Tia Louise’s books and have loved them all!!! This particular book was not my favourite of hers though. Oh my gosh!!! I could not put down this sizzling, Romeo & Juliet story that had all the feels, the perseverance and the angst as this couple cling to one another amidst the results of actions taken long ago. I could NOT put it down!
From the moment Deacon and Angelica met as teenagers, they were it. Theirs was a once in a lifetime love that captured my heart immediately. This author has the ability to pull me in from the first page but never as much as she did this time.
Deacon was the perfect book boyfriend. All he saw was Angel and he was prepared to do battle against anyone or anything in order to make her his without any fall outs as a result of doing so. His determination made me love him all the more.
I loved Angel! She was fierce in her loyalty and protectiveness of Deacon just as much as he was of her. Watching her stand up for him and what they had was inspiring as were so many of the messages this story delivered that are conducive to this time in our current history.

Reading this was much like a roller-coaster ride of emotions as I went from smiling and laughing at one point only to be twisted about and plunged into despair the next. I love when a book can make me feel it all!
Highly recommend this if you enjoy the Romeo/Juliet, Hatfield/McCoy type of romance. Add in a bit of mystery, lots of steam, and an epilogue that’s better than icing on the cake, and you’d be hard pressed to find a better read.

A steamy read seeped in secrets and drama, Tia Louise’s highly anticipated novel Reckless Kiss did not disappoint! Their families are enemies, but one kiss has the power to ignite a forbidden love affair. Deacon and Angel’s love must battle many obstacles. However, when an argument results in an accident, Deacon sets course to unearth the truth to heal past wounds. Will the past repeat itself, or will their love be able to rise above the hurdles? Such a good novel!

Deacon and Angel were so cute together I loved how supportive he was of her dreams and that he never wanted her to change for him. He was ready to fight for her with her family and he really did everything he could to make them accept their relationship without them hurting Angel by trying to keep them apart. It led to a lot of angsty scenes which I loved.
Overall, this was a fun book to read and I definitely recommend it. Any lovers of the Romeo/Juliet triope will absolutely love this story.

August 14, 2020I have learnt that the hero and heroine have already been in a relationship for years when the book begins. The beginning of a romance is the best part of it for me so if they are already together, what will I look forward to, then?

I was completely and utterly consumed by this book! It's a forbidden love between Deacon and Angel. Their grandparents had been friends long before but had a falling out and the two families declared each other enemies. But Deacon and Angel vowed to be together, no matter what. Their story is beautifully told. I couldn't put it down, it had me on the edge of my seat. And super hot loves scenes!! Intense, angsty, suspenseful, and just an amazing book!

Tia's writing is always heartfelt and sexy, but perhaps none more so than here in Angelica and Deacon's Hatfield and McCoys/Romeo and Juliet style love story. I will not soon forget this amazing couple and their world of love and art set within a backdrop of feuding families, racial and social differences be damned.

'Reckless Kiss' by Tia Louise is a Standalone contemporary romance novel. One look at the blurb of this book and I was hooked!
Deacon and Angel have the most beautiful love story ever! They met when they were teenagers and from the moment they looked at each other , their destiny was set. Both of them knew that they were soulmates and I loved the way they supported each other. They kept their relationship a secret and went their separate ways to college. However when they reunited again , they decided it was time to tell their families. That , however didn't go well. It was an utter disaster.
Their families had a history full of hate and so much resentment. Angel and Deacon were not to be stopped by some centuries old grudge. They both tried thief level best to convince their family about their love , but things were not that easy! I loved the way they both didn't give up and stood with each other no matter what their families said! This love story has quickly climbed up my top reads list and I would definitely recommend this book to all the contemporary romance lovers with a tinge of darkness in their books!

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Angelica and Deacon weren’t supposed to fall in love, but they did. She made a promise never to see him again, but she did. Her brother told him never to see her again, but he did. There’s nothing that can stop them. Or so they think.
This is my first Tia Louise read! I picked it up because the cover was just so addictive. It made you want to read this book. IT’S SO PRETTY!!!!!! Now to the book. Perhaps I wasn’t prepared for the speed, but the main couple’s love was pretty instantaneous. However, the characters were well-fleshed out and incredibly vivid. I empathized with them. Angelica and Deacon’s love story was so adorable and cute. But that wasn’t the case all the time. There were dramatic moments that had you at the edge of your seat. I loved the exploration of family and what it means to the different cultures presented in the book. I truly admired that Angelica wasn’t just a damsel in distress; she had her own thing going on with her art. I hate mentioning it like that, but it’s not always the case that the heroine in a sweet romance gets an arc with her job like that (at least that’s my impression). This story was very easy to read and it was immensely entertaining; it’s a lovely summer read with just the right amount of drama!

The depth of their love punched me in the heart and I am still trying to recover from the emotions. What an exquisite story proving that love gives hope and anything is possible.
