Fantastic

This story is mainly about the president, Nycto, of the Royal Bastards MC, Tampa chapter and Eva, and what a love story it is, too. Yes, it has your traditional MC violence and all the things that go with that but then again it also has the other things too like the alpha males and their protective natures, their bond of family and togetherness and support for each other.

Honestly, Nycto is an interesting character! I really liked him from the get go and as we got to know him better and better, the more I liked him. There are always reasons for things and Nycto certainly has his but his ‘take no prisoners attitude’ has done well for him-until now.

Eva is a sassy, strong character who is easy to like too and together with Nycto makes a fantastic couple. Their chemistry is supercharged and red hot. I like how Eva gets Nycto and did from the beginning, seeing more to him than others do.

The whole story travels along nicely, and truly that is the word for it, then wham, the drama and action starts. Holy moly, what an adventure when it does too, it certainly has your blood pumping wondering who is going to survive.

A great start to this chapter of the Royal Bastards MC and I am already looking forward to what I hope will be Void and Ivy’s story next.

I really enjoyed reading about Nycto and Eva. They had so much chemistry, it was so freaking good. The story itself was really good It had just the right amount of drama.

Wow!! What a read!!!

I've been waiting for Nycto's book for a little while and I have to say I was NOT disappointed!! When he appeared in Ransom's book, I was intrigued and hooked. K E never disappoints when she's telling a story, you can clearly see the picture she's telling you in the pages. Eva is a fabulous heroine for Nycto, her sass, determination and grit is just what he needed. I can't wait for the next book to come out ❤❤

Great read!

Another fantastic addition to the Royal Bastards! Another new to me author and I loved this book! Nycto literally took my heart. His inexplicable need to take Eva and protect her, melted my heart and I knew at some point he would pay for that.
This book had me on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down. Can't wait for Void's story now!

Great book

Omg, she's the light to his dark, he saved not only her but her family from an unimaginable horror at the hands of a trafficker. His brothers in arms came together to save them all, a true MC club story, filled with plenty of twists and turns, action, sexual chemistry and romance, well worth your time to read.

New to this author and was pleasantly surprised. Another amazing storyline in the RBMC series, as this didn’t disappoint. As the President of the Tampa RBMC, he lives in darkness. She is the light that he never expected. Helluva ride that keeps you going to the end. Definitely recommend this book and author.

Love the intensity of this story and the struggle and balance of good vs. evil. Nycto has worked hard to become the president of the Tampa Royal Bastards MC club but how the club makes money is very questionable. They pickup merchandise and deliver it but that merchandise is women. This had me not liking this club. On the latest shipment, Nycto breaks the rules and keeps one of the women that has captivated him with her strength and fire. This is so out of character for him, he doesn’t do emotion yet Eva has him tied up in knots. Eva stands up for herself and the other women with one goal in mind, protect her sister. When she ends up with Nycto, her only mission is to find her sister and protect her but her body seems to have other things in mind. She is shocked at her attraction to Nycto and how he makes her feel. This couple challenges each other in great ways. There is a lot going on in this story with the decisions Nycto has made and how it will impact the club. Truly, I wasn’t sure what to expect and was surprised several times as this amazing journey unfolded. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Defining Darkness was a whirlwind of a read... full of plenty of twists & turns, secrets, all the MC goodness/drama, a unique & unexpected connection, brotherhood & broken rules. Nycto is the President of the RB Tampa chapter and they are in the business of picking up "shipments" and delivering them... except the shipments aren't things they are people. With emotions completely shut off they provide this service & get paid... until Eva. A spitfire full of sass and fight... she's something Nycto simply can't look away from.... One fateful decision made that will change everything. But can Nycto, Eva & the MC handle the fallout?

I'm completely obsessed with this series... honestly, it's dark, gritty and full of all the MC goodness that I love and I cannot wait for more from The Royal Bastards MC.. especially the Tampa chapter.

There is more than one meaning to darkness in this story, but there is also a gradual lightness, its slow and takes its time but it does emerge. In between we have threats action and some violence, we get a budding love a very special friendship building amongst some really hardened men, which means acceptance and family. This series is by so many different authors each with their own characters but crossing over with many others from those different authors, each a chapter of the same MC. It is unique and fabulous, wide ranging in plots, the degree of violence and the various money making schemes they have. I am loving each and every one of them and this one is no exception, it held my attention throughout and kept me riveted. I loved the characters, they were easy to empathise with, I could so see where each were coming from. I loved the sass and feistiness of the women, not backing down despite the fierce men that had them, or the risks of retribution. Great read.

Nycto, prez of Tampa Royal Bastards, backs off in a transaction with human trafficker Andres by keeping 2 women from him. And is that when Nycto sees Eva, right away he feels the need to protect her. But Eva is only concerned about her sister Ivy, which is why Nycto decides to take them to his clubhouse. But Andres is not going to let it pass, so Nycto asks the Miami Bastards for help to pay the money that Andres has lost.but still the club is in serious trouble bc of Nycto and his reckless action. In addition, Nycto hides from Eva that Ivy is also hiding in his club and he lets her believe her sister is gone, bc he fears that if Eva knows the truth both of them want to abandon the protection of the club and he will lose Eva forever, and if Andres discovers the truth it will be the end of the club.
I ❤️the relationship between Nycto and Eva; explosive, sexy, sweet...😍😍😍
And I ❤️ Nycto’s method of dealing with the enemies of the club, he is quite a bricklayer. 🧱 🧱🧱🧱.

Another great book in the Royal Bastards MC. To be honest, I didn't like the way this one started. It wasn't the writing but the content. Things change... people change...in doing so, I loved it.

Eva and her younger sister Ivy are out partying. A rare thing for Eva. Ever since her parents were killed in a car accident she had to grow up really quick and talk care of herself and her sister. They are both kidnapped and are now ready for transport to the sellers in Florida from Cuba. The president of the Royal Bastards, Nycto and his crew are the ones who transfer them. Only tonight one woman puts up a real fight and he sees something in her that calls out to him. He can't keep her but he can't let her go either. If he keeps her then he is putting his whole club in danger. What happens when instead of living in the dark he decides to go to her light? Can he risk his club, his presidency, his patch?

Nycto is President of the RB Tampa chapter MC and is well known for having absolutely no emotions, so he surprises everyone (including himself) when he decides to keep Eva when conducting a business transaction. This has a kind of domino effect on him but he knew that there was something very special about Eva that just called to him, and he would not be denied!

Wow - this had all the required features of an MC story. A brooding alpha male with hidden depth and emotions, with so many secrets. A beautiful woman who was incredibly sassy. The perfect combination. It was like being on a rollercoaster with all the secrets, emotions, twists, turns and the usual mixture of drama and danger from a story in an MC. Well written, easy to read and understand. This is definitely a book you will just devour. Does contain violence and sexual content.

We get everything in Defining Darkness and I do mean everything. We get a story filled with twist and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Nycto our MC president makes a decision that he truly does not understand. Eva our sassy AF heroine refuses to take any sh!t lying down. She is absolutely perfect for this MC president. The secrets and lies will having chewing your fingernails waiting to see just how everything is going to play out. There is not a dull moment in this book as the action and suspense will have you on the edge of your seat.
This book is filled with some twist and turns that will definitely have you completely and utterly intrigued! I highly recommend and I can not wait until the next book!!

This another thrilling chapter of the Royal Bastard MC.
The president sees Eva and her sister in a shipment that the crew are taking care of.
She speaks to him in a way that no-one has since his first love. She is a spitfire that brings life and laughter to him, and brings him back to life, and makes him a better man for it.
Nycto, keeps Eva and is trying to find out what it is about her that calls to his soul. They fight,argue, mess around, and finally admit their feelings for each other.
In between all of that, they take out a skin peddler, and brings the MC in to the start of legal business.

Defining Darkness is one of the best books KE Osborn has written to date. Nycto and Eva’s story has darkness with a touch of light. The connection between these two is intense and can be felt soul deep. Their story is captivating, gritty, passionate and action packed. As these two fumble their way to each other’s hearts through the dark it is the glimmers of light that you feel most. A story that takes you on a ride of freedom, acceptance and ultimately love. As these two weave their way under your skin you will not only be addicted to this couple but the Tampa chapter and all its characters.

Holy crap this book blew my mind! From beginning to end I couldn't put it down! The twist, turns, ups and downs kept me on the edge of my seat. I laughed, I had on shit moment's and I fell in love with Nycto, Eva, Ivy and Void. Eva and Ivy are strong women and and I loved how they stepped up when justice was served. I loved seeing Nycto and Eva come together and all the crap they went through being worth it in the end. When he opened up to her about his past it broke my heart. With Void deciding to pull his head out of his butt I pray him and Ivy get their happily ever after and it can't wait to see how it all plays out.

MC romances come and go from my TBR list, but this is a must keep; and a keep on, keeping on.

I am going to look up everything Osborn!

If you like MC romances, I think you will enjoy this and if you just like romance, I think you'll love this! Plenty of angst and page turning goodness. I enjoyed both Nycto and Eva immensely!

This author has given us a new series to get into with this MC heading it. Nycto is one harden dude but now we will see a different side and skin once Eva comes into the picture. She will be the light that causes us to get to see a peek that slowly widens as this one unfolds. In the midst of this world and the action that defines it there will be also another danger that comes along because of the actions. This one once you get into it you will not find your way out of it. The grit and the dark will be lit with the light that has bled into this one.

Dark and gritty plus light and sassy makes Defining Darkness a hit! Nycto, the club president, comes across Eva and her sister Ivy as they are part of the shipment he’s transporting. Something about Eva jumpstarts his cold, dead heart which makes Nycto break his own rules. Now not only does he have to figure out a way to get Eva to trust him but he also has to keep her, Ivy and the entire club safe from the blowback of his actions.

Man who doesn’t enjoy a hot alpha who has issues that run deep but ends up being a good man in the end? Getting the back story of what shaped Nycto into who he is was rough. Not much better with Eva. So be warned tough subject matter takes place in many forms in this book. As always this author never fails to pull you in to the story and have you love these characters & feel the brotherhood, family & love. It’s been so much fun getting to read all these books & seeing all they all connect!

Darkness has so many layers and we get to see just how much with Nycto. It's like love at first sight but he has his demons. She tries to fight their attraction as well but it can't be denied. I swear I didn't blink the whole reading this because I felt like I would miss something. This is dark, gritty, sexy, and amazing.
