Single mom Jenna is learning to live again after divorce and her first few attempts at hooking a guy end in disaster. Never mind that Sam is interested, he keeps showing up where he isn't wanted, and man is that guy over-protective! But the more she thinks on it, the more she sees that maybe Sam might be the right guy to get her over her slump. Encouraged by her sister Jilly, she decides to give Sam a try, but it might be more than her heart bargained for.
Then Again is hilarious and hot. Stewart has given us fun, lovable, characters. I love Jenna's awkwardness and Jill's personality. Sam is to swoon for and Jenna's daughters are perceptive and adorable. I read the whole book straight through. A great addition to the Juniper Court collection.

Then Again by Sylvie Stewart a five-star read that you will adore. This is the third book I think in the Juniper Court series and it’s the turn of number 22, it may just be my favourite book of the series so far. I am a fan of the author so was excited to see what she would give us in this series, she has outdone herself. Jenna Watson was a character I loved from the first page, there was just a quality to her that flowed of the page and into your mind. We had glimpses in the previous books but this one she shows us how amazing she truly is. This story has some of the funniest one liners I have heard in a long time, will the fling she plans be the one she gets? You will have to read the book to find out, I am excited to read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed Then Again but Sylvie Stewart. It's a great small-town rom-com with some heat and a lot of humor. Jenna and Sam are great characters that you really can get behind and root for. As part of the Juniper Court series, there are a host of secondary characters that you know and love, and get to see again, and it really adds to the small-town feel.

The narration by Kelsey Navarro is very good. She presents the material well, differentiates the voices, and brings emotion to the material. She also enhances the humor in the material very well.

I received this audiobook at no-cost from Audiobookworm Promotions. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

The underlying humour in this tale is the perfect counterpoint to the relationship element of the story.  It is deftly handled, and not at all brash and adds an extra dimension to what is a good story in any event.

Both Sam and Jenna are strong, likeable characters in their own right, and together, they make for a story that genuinely gave me butterflies.

Not filled with unnecessary drama, this is just an honest to goodness, feel good romance.  Who could ask for more?

I liked the story of Jenna trying to get back to the scene of romance after her divorce. Jenna was a great character and her interactions with her sister, Jill, were such fun. It was a lighthearted HEA romance. This was my first book by Syilvie Stewart and I liked her writing. This story was definitely worth reading/listening.

Kelsey Navarro's narration was spectacular. I loved every minute. Great job!

C'était cute! J'ai fait le saut quand j'ai réalisé que le gars était policier (en même temps ça parait un peu sur la couverture) mais il était gentil donc ça va. Les deux enfants sont vraiment cute. C'était facile à écouter en faisant du ménage!

Sylvie Stewart has out done herself on this book I couldn’t put it down it was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t stop laughing. Jenna is just so funny.
This story is about how we pick ourselves up once our lives have been ripped apart, and how we rebuild our trust in ourselves. When reading this book I felt the characters where well written that the story flowed beautifully. Jenna and Sam’s story is about a second chance at love and finding yourself along the way.
I hope there are more books in this series.

Jenna Watson is a thirty-four-year-old divorce mother that after two years of mourning the end of her marriage, she promised her sister that she will start recovering her life, starting by having a passionate affair with someone in the summer. Her daughters are expending a month with their father, so she has a month for herself or what she liked to call it sexcation.

Great sister dynamic and characters

One of my favorite parts and the funniest one was to read the interactions between Jenna and her sister Jill. Jill is outgoing, beautiful and always there to support her sister. I just love the bond they have, how they mess with each other, help and give a wake-up call whenever is needed. Whenever I was reading a scene with the two of them I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing.

In addition, I like that Jenna was described as a real woman, with her stretch marks and the insecurities and how she just accept them as part of her.

I love that the book mentioned the different set of characters. All the neighbors and their interactions and that they are different type of people.

It was hilarious to read about the different dates that Jenna had in the beginning. She had just dated her husband in her life so she was lost in how to flirt and interpret whenever someone was flirting with her, so she had a rough start.

Loove Officer Martinez. I like his personality, overprotectiveness (though sometimes it was a bit annoying) and how he had his mind clear since the beginning when it related to Jenna.

“Relationships undoubtedly complicated things, but without them, life was flat and meaningless”

Fantastic writing style

This is the fourth book that I have read from the author and she just gets better and better. I literally can’t put it down and I’m smiling or laughing throughout the entire book. I really enjoyed the writing style it is funny and fast-paced and for me, it makes the story much more real.

If you are looking for an adorable, funny and cute book to read now that San Valentine near I highly recommend it, even if you just want to have a good time and laugh.

Than Again (The Juniper Court Series) By Sylvie Stewart is part of a series that a group of author has put together called The Juniper Court series. This is not my first book by this author but it is certainly my favorite. This has been an awesome series and this book is a great add to it. The one thing about his author's writing that I enjoy is her ability to pull me into the story with easy. Her story is easy flowing and engaging. Her characters are both lovable and connectable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I couldn't put down. This is Jenna's story. She has just become a divorced mother of two girls. She is now left second guessing everything she has done. Her children are gone with their father for a few weeks so she is thinking summer fling. She has not made the best of choices with dates until she meets Officer Sam. She first meets in the park while trying to run but then he seems to pop up all over where she is. One thing leads to another and they agree on a Summer fling but will they get more then they bargained for? Is it possible that love will find those who are not looking for it? I loved both of these characters. They are funny, witty and both have some attitude. I felt bad for Jenna, she really has made some bad choices with dates and the harder she tries, I think the worse they got. Sam is a great guy but he is over protective. Everyone who needs a pick me up after a divorce needs a man like Sam in it. They really did have so much chemistry together and they make a cute couple. I kept hoping that fate would take charge and these two would find themselves together. I also loved seeing characters from the other books in this story. They are supportive and fun. I highly recommend this book. I could wait to read Jenna's story and I can't wait to see who gets their story next. I know you are going to want to see what happens next in Juniper Court.

Loved it, from what I gather this book is 1 of 7 in the Juniper court series. All neighbors in a cul-da-sac with their own secrets.
To see the other books click on the link: https://www.junipercourtseries.com/

In Then Again we got to meet few of the neighbors and boy I can't wait to read those books.

Jenna a single, divorced mom who is on summer break reinvents herself. Boy does she go about it all wrong! Her sister Jill helps however Jenna always manages to go in her own direction.
So much so that she gets into a sticky situation and meets Sam! OMG Sam!! He is that one police officer you want to keep coming around your house.
Sam and Jenna have a good banter and it's funny, yet serious!
While Jenna finds herself she has second thoughts about Sam and how serious the relationship should go.
I think once Sam meets Jenna's twin daughters it solidified things. Sam isn't only hot, and a police officer he is sweet, caring and will do anything for Jenna.
The book was great, when it ended I wanted more!

What a fun story this was. As part of the Juniper Court Series - "Then Again" is one of the "sweeter romances" of the series.

Jenna and Sam's story has a sense of humor, addresses life after divorce being in mid-30s, and reminds us that not every story has to be down and dirty.

It was nice to see mature adults navigating life and new relationships.

This is the 3rd book that I've read in this series and I enjoyed it very much.

Engrossing and positive story
5 stars

I always enjoy a Sylvie Stewart story and even though a 30-something divorcee single mum doesn’t have much in common with me, I was delighted to find that I loved the characters, story and the whole book. This is billed as the third book in the multi-author Juniper Court series - but it stands completely alone and, having read none of the other in the series, I could see no crossovers of other characters.

Jenna Watson gave herself 18 months after her divorce before she decided to get herself back out there and start dating again. Nothing serious - just a summer fling while her 10 year old twins are away for the summer. Her first few attempts, aided and abetted by her crazy sister, Jill, are things she’d rather forget. Even worse, hot but grumpy police officer, Sam Martinez, somehow always seems to be around to witness her humiliation. But her first impressions might not be right and perhaps Sam is perfect summer fling material. Or maybe he’s more.

Jenna is a very relatable character - despite personally having very little to relate to her about. She’s got the right amount of feistiness about her to go along with her nervousness about getting back on the dating scene. She was definitely the more sensible sister but I loved her desire to move on with her life and find her happiness. I was cheering for her, laughing with her and just generally loving her.

Now excuse me while I swoon for Officer Sam Martinez. *Sigh* He’s a grumpy stickler for the rules who talks like an old man - but he’s also hot (aviators and a uniform? Yum!), protective, sexy and very into Jenna. He’s still able to laugh and joke and the interactions between him and Jenna was delightful. They were also hot. There’s not an abundance of sex scenes but there are enough to keep things sizzling.

As always with Sylvie Stewart, I laughed out loud on occasion while listening. It’s perhaps not as sidesplittingly funny as other of Ms Stewart’s books I’ve read, but it was upbeat and addictive and I just wanted to keep hearing about Jenna and Sam’s story. I hated once I’d finished the story as I wanted more, dammit. And that’s with there being a more than satisfying conclusion and a lovely epilogue.

The story is told in first person, past tense and only from Jenna’s point of view. This is reflected in the fact there’s only one narrator for this story - Kelsey Navarro. She has a very pleasing voice and I believed her in her portrayal of Jenna. She read the story well and I’d definitely give her performance the full five stars. While I usually complain about not knowing (usually) the man’s point of view in a story, in this story it worked because it was obvious that Officer Hottie was very much smitten with Jenna. It was only Jenna herself that wasn’t aware of his feelings - or her own for that matter!

Even though the book I was listening to prior to this one, another Sylvie Stewart story, New Jerk in Town, doesn’t appear to connect to this tale, it wasn’t until the end of the story that I realised that New Jerk is Jenna’s crazy (in a good way) sister Jill’s own story. Now I want to go back and listen to New Jerk again so I can get giddy every time Jenna and Sam are mentioned.

This story was a really positive and engrossing story that I have to admit I found quite inspiring. It’s all about taking a chance, living your life and putting your whole heart into everything you do. And there’s a lovely, hot, romance-worthy police officer to boot. What’s not to love? A highly recommended 5 stars.

Then Again – The Juniper Court Series is a contemporary romance novel by Sylvie Stewart. It is the story of a divorced, thirty-something year old mom of ten year old twin girls whose name is Jenna Watson. Jenna is an elementary school teacher at the neighborhood school. When the story begins Jenna and her sister, Jill, are discussing and arguing over the fact that Jenna needs to have sex with a man again since it's been two years since her divorce from her ex-husband, Mike. Jill feels that Jenna has spent too much time since her divorce depressed about Mike, and that it's time for her sister to move on. Jenna agrees that she is ready and wants to have sex again, but that she's still not ready to start a romantic relationship. Jenna still has trust issues concerning men, since Mike's announcement that he wanted a divorce (because he said that he just wasn't in love with her anymore), caught her totally by surprise. Jenna also isn't sure that she can trust herself either since she still loved Mike at that time in her life, and hadn't recognized that he didn't love her anymore.

Jenna's twin daughters, Kate and Eileen, are staying with Mike and his new wife for the next month, so she decides that she wants to have an affair that involves just having sex with a man because she is not ready for a romantic relationship, during that month while they are away. She figures that she'll finally get to have sex again and it will be with someone that's not Mike, (who is the only man that she's ever had sex with). This is also a good time for this affair because it won't effect her daughters' lives since they won't even know that it's happening because since they will be at their father's house the entire time.

The man that Jenna ends up having an affair with is a local police officer named Sam Martinez. Sam is the brother of a friend of Jenna's named Sofia, who also happens to be the mother of one of Jenna's students from the past school year. Jenna remembers that Sophia told her that Sam had recently broken up with a local newscaster from Channel 6 in their local TV viewing area, after this woman dumped Sam. Sam, who is in his late thirties, first meets Jenna one morning when she is out jogging with her dog, Reggie. Jenna hasn't been on a jog in awhile, so shortly after she begins jogging she gets a cramp in her side and has to stop and try to stretch it out. Sam, who is sitting in his police cruiser that is parked across the street from where Jenna has stopped to stretch, notices Jenna bent over and yells out his car window to enquire if she is okay. Sam is immediately attracted to Jenna and begins flirting with her. He runs into her several more times over the next few days, and finally asks Jenna when are they going to go out on a date. Jenna finally agrees to go out to dinner with Sam, and because she is very attracted to him, too, she propositions him about having a sexual affair for the next four weeks while her daughters are staying with their father. Sam agrees to the affair which surprises Jenna, but also very much pleases her since there is definitely a physical attraction between the two of them.

Jenna and Sam begin their sexual affair but Jenna gets cold feet after several very wonderful weeks of amazing sex. She recognizes that she could be feeling more than just a physical attraction to Sam because he is not only a hot guy physically, but because he is also a sweet and caring person. Sam tells Jenna that she needs to “get out of her head”, when he recognizes that Jenna is scared of what is happening between the two of them. Jenna soon there after puts a stop to their affair because of her fears, two weeks before her daughters are to return home, using the excuse that she's not ready to have a relationship, and also because she doesn't want her daughters to think that she doesn't put them first in her life. Will Jenna and Sam ever get back together again since they are obviously so very attracted to one another?

I really loved this book by Sylvie Stewart! This book is a wonderful story of romance because it tells the story of two people hurt by past relationships and what they have to do to move on from their past lives. All of the characters have strong personalities, but they also have a sense of humor which is an important part of any successful relationship as far as I am concerned. This story is true to life because it helps us to realize that we can work past the depression of being hurt and move on to a happy future. I definitely recommend this entertaining story!

Audiobook

This book was so heart warming. Sam made me swoon and from the jump of them meeting on her run you could tell there was gonna be something between them. Not to mention ALL the times that they ran into each other. The banter made it obvious and she so wanted to not like him but they were already made for each other.

One of my favorite parts has to be the part after her accident and she hears noise in her kitchen and then walks in seeing Sam. They didnt start going out at that moment, yet he showed up at her house again and made her a sandwich, figuring she would be hungry but tired from the accident. The man is so swoony. Their dog ran away and what happens? Jenna calls him frantic, they find the dog, her daughters invite to stay for dinner, he leaves and goes and get away leash for the dog and of course the gentleman he is, he doesn't want return payment for the leash. The book was fantastic and not to mention Jenna. Because she went through it, her divorce only 18 months before and tag the douche moving on already and her wondering what she did. She stood her ground when he TRIED to make her feel bad for redecorating the house. He grew apart from her? Please she should've left him along time ago and I think she stayed for the kids. I mean who falls asleep on top of their wife during sex in the missionary position? She's not a bore, he's just an ass. But through all of that bullcrap, she came out on top. She found happiness again and she's the best mom to those precious twins.

Overall I give this book a ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐/5. The book was AMAZING and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series. This was my first time reading from this author and I'm very much loving her writing. I would recommend this book. It's such a quick listen, I wish there was a male narrator for Sam but it didnt even make a difference because it sounded so good. I'm in my Audiobook era so this was a fantastic addition. Sam and Jenna were a beautiful couple and I just love that she found her grove back because she deserved it. And a plus is that the kids approved. ❤❤❤😍😍😍

Then Again (The Juniper Court Series) by Sylvie Stewart

5 Stars

I've now read all but one in this series and it comes out today. I have loved every one of them and knew when I got my hands on this one that it would be a 5 star read because Duh...Sylvie Stewart wrote it and being that she is an absolute favorite of mine I knew I would love it, and of course I did.

Jenna was great, being divorced for almost 2 years and raising her 2 daughters she knew it was high time to get out there and have some fun. She needed to have a uncomplicated no strings attached fling so that she could finally move on from her ex, the only man she had ever slept with. With help from her sister Jill, who I absolutely loved she decided since the kids were with their Dad for a month, the time had come. But of course things are never as easy as you plan them out in your mind. Especially when a hot cop decides to start keeping her safe from herself.

Officer Sam Martinez was what dreaming about a book boyfriend is all about, he was bossy, protective, cocky and just plain HOT, and seemed to take a liking to Jenna. I laughed out loud at their interactions and her constant “this will just be a fling” type of interactions with him. I love how he respected everything she was going through and gave her space when needed. This was just an all around fun book to read and watching Jenna learn to trust herself and those around her was written beautifully.

“Trust. Sometimes it’s chance, sometimes it’s faith, sometimes it’s a complete leap off a cliff.”

I absolutely want to move into a house on Juniper Court, this has been an amazing series so far and I just know I'll take time in the future to read them all again. One thing I do want after reading this story is another story...What's going on with Jill? I have to know and pray that Miss Stewart will find it in her heart to give us a follow up to this book.

Loved it!!!

Then Again by Sylvie Stewart is part of a very special series. The concept behind the series is simple, seven houses, seven stories, written by seven different authors but this more than simple.
I love the way all the stories intermingle and you get to see the other side to the interactions with each of the books.

Sylvie Stewart is one of my favourite authors and is a given for this series. Then Again is a story about Jenna Watson, a divorcee who expected to move to Juniper Court with her husband and kids and live a happily ever after. Well that did not happen sitting alone in her house as her girls are with their father and new wife, she has no idea what to do.

Her sister has been trying to get her to forget the past and start enjoying life, so as Jenna goes on a string of disastrous dates their is only one element that stays the same, Officer McHottie. Sam spotted Jenna while she was running/catching her breath while walking Reggie her dog but he has a overwhelming feeling her needs to protect this woman.

As the story goes on you get to see the chemistry bubbling between these two characters and with Sylvie's writing style you will be turning the pages to try and get to the end of the story to see what happens. I love the way Jenna has a overhaul of the house to get rid of the ex-husband and how she is constantly surprised at the old fashioned values of Sam. The relationship also between the sisters in this story has lovely interactions and you also feel the true respect these two sisters have for each other.

This series can be read as a stand alone series but once you read one you will want to read the series, also as they are written by different authors the series does not end up being stale. You may just discover a new author you did not know before.

4 stars overall, 4 stars story, 4 stars narration
The amusing dating adventures of a single mom

This was a very good standalone rom-com, but I didn’t have any laugh-out loud moments. I smiled a lot at the story, and there were plenty of funny parts. Perhaps my lack of laughter is due to the narrator Kelsey Navarro being slightly worse at comic timing than Meagan Moses and Meg Price, who have each narrated other Sylvie Stewart books excellently. Other listeners may disagree with me. Still, Kelsey Navarro did a very good job. All of her female voices were perfect, and the male voices were almost perfect. She made the hero sound very sexy. The bubbliness and pacing were great as well. I would say that the story is moderately steamy. There is some cussing, but not very much.

The story, characters, and town were very realistic. I feel like it all could actually happen in some nearby small town. Jenna Watson is a kindergarten teacher and mom of two 10-year-old twin girls. Jenna's divorce was final about a year ago. Her self-confidence is shaky, but this summer while the girls are with their father for a few weeks, she will try to have a summer fling. Misadventures in dating ensue, but then she finds a great guy. The happy ending is very satisfying.

I like Jenna, but I don’t love her. Sometimes her dithering made me lose a little interest in the audiobook until something new and interesting happened. I really enjoyed her close relationship with her sister, Jill. I also highly approve of the sexy but realistic hero, who is a bit quirky but has some really wonderful qualities. Overall, this is a fun rom-com and a lovely small-town romance.

It’s been two years since the ink dried on Jenna's divorce papers, and it’s high time to dive back in.

Step one: find a romance-novel-worthy man for a hot holiday fling.

How hard could it be?

But disastrously bad flirting, a failed honky-tonk hookup, and a mix-up with one of Sunview’s finest have Jenna seriously doubting if this is all worth it. Maybe she’s better off leaving the world of love and sex to others—or maybe she’s just looking in the wrong place …

---

What I Liked

Right off the bat this book is hilarious!
There’s something oddly surreal about reading a romcom where the main character has your name and a personality that’s a little too familiar. Every time I heard “Jenna,” I had this weird feeling —especially when it was coming from Sam. Like, okay sir, calm down.🥵

The emotional depth surprised me, too. Jenna’s journey post-divorce felt real. She’s trying to reclaim parts of herself, redefine what she wants, and figure out how to trust again. I get that. There’s something raw about rebuilding after heartbreak, even when it’s wrapped in humor.

Also, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge how much I hated Jenna’s ex-husband. Classic Reddit-dude energy. The type of guy who talks about “the algorithm” and unironically uses the word “alpha.” And his new wife? I actually feel bad for her. The kids, though? Loved them. Smart, sweet, maybe a little too articulate for ten-year-olds, but hey, it’s fiction.

❓Would I recommend it?
Absolutely. If you like romcoms with wit, warmth, and just enough emotional weight to keep things grounded, you’ll enjoy Then Again. It’s a solid, fun, low-stress read that goes down easy—like a good glass of wine 🍷

Then Again (The Juniper Court Series ) by Sylvie Stewart

Then Again  (The Juniper Court Series ) by Sylvie Stewart  is apart of the Juniper Court Series. I'm loving this series so far each book I read in this series is amazing and I'm  loving getting to read authors I haven't yet. I don't know that I've read other books by Sylvie but I can say I'll definitely be checking into what else she has written. I loved everything about this story in fact I read it in one sitting  because I couldn't put it down. This story is about Jenna.Shes recently divorced  (2years) and with the help of her sister they came up with the two year plan. With this plan she gave herself time to get over the divorce and the idea that her marriage failed. So know it's time to get backout there Jenna has twin daughters who are spending a month with their father. This gives Jenna plenty of time to have a little fun.Lets just say her little bit of fun doesn't start put the way she thought it would go.With a couple bad dates under her belt she's ready. Then there's officer Sam Martinez,he comes a crossed kinda cock but the more we get to know him the more I actually like him.Him and Jenna start off on the wrong foot.but the more they spend together they decide to do a one month fling. After the month is over can and will these two go their separate ways?I have to say I highly recommend you read this book especially if you want to know how things turn out with Sam and Jenna.I can't wait to not only read more by this author but I can't wait for the next installment in this series.

I can honestly say that I have not laughed out loud so much while reading a book, until Then Again! Sylvie’s writing style is engaging and hilarious!
From the moment I had read the first Juniper Court novel, I was DYING to read Jenna’s story! While, the introductions to her were brief in the previous books, there was something about her that I identified with and I knew I was going to love her!
Perhaps it was the fact that her failed relationship with her dirt bag ex-husband had left her second guessing everything she thought she knew about herself... maybe the fear to leave herself open to being vulnerable with another man and being hurt again, or maybe the saucy attitude under the goody-two-shoes persona that she portrays... whatever, it was, I had to read her story! I was so right! (I love being able to say that!!!)
Then there is Officer McSteamy... I mean Sam! Who wouldn’t want a guy like that?!?! He showed no fear at getting involved in a fling with a single mom of twin 10 year olds, knowing that is all it would be... a perfect gentleman with mannerisms from another era... and how kind and patient he was blew my mind!
I literally laughed and laughed, and maybe shed a few tears, but mostly laughed... the embarrassing kind of guffaw at the most inopportune places and times!
Then Again is the best Rom-Com I have read in a very long time! It is one I will definitely pull out again when I need a good laugh!

I listened to the Audible version and I love the Kelsey Navarro/Sylvie Stewart combination for a rom com. Kelsey Navarro brings so much energy to the story and makes it feel like she's having a conversation with me. I'm sure the fact that Sylvie Stewart writes the same way my friends talk helps too.

I haven't read any other books in this series. Then Again does stand alone, though I suspect many of the characters appear in the other stories.

I like that the story is more about Jenna, and love that it's not immediately obvious which guy she'll end up with, at least without having read the other books in the series. I had a guess, but it look a long time before I found out if I was right. Every time I start a new romance book, I hope that the couple won't be the first man/woman mentioned, but I'm disappointed pretty much every single time. I know this probably means I'm reading the wrong genre, but I'm in it for the HFN (yep HFN or a very slow HEA, not an insta-HEA - another common disappointment). There were a scary number of times that I could identify with Jenna and her divorce experience, so now I'm wondering if Sylvie Stewart is a pen name for one of my friends.

I would have liked to give the story 4.5 stars because it still had some predictable relationship drama, but overall I really liked it and loved the narration. I highly recommend this audiobook to listeners who like rom coms with a slow burn.

3.5 Stars. Audiobook.
I thought this book was super cute. I enjoy nice, easy romances where both characters are just regular people and happen to get together.
That being said, some of Sam's cop-isms were just wayyy out of pocket. The way he just assumed he would get to skip the concert line w/o a ticket because he had a buddy. The way he near-assaulted a man in the middle of a dance hall w/ no context of the situation and then laughed it off as being protective. The way he would admit to speeding or breaking the law, but not face any repercussions because he was "in his cop cruiser." It's all just... gross misconduct. Personally, not my cup of tea. Especially for this man who supposed to be a hyper-gentleman, sounds more like a man who just does what he wants and hides behind a cop badge and the name of "[over]protection."
Jenna wasn't too much better either. If my mama was actin' up like that, we would have some words. What do you mean you changed the entire house while I was gone? What do you mean you made out with a man nearly half your age? What do you mean you got on the back of a motorcycle w/ a criminal and almost got arrested? What do you mean you cut out the one guy who actually wasn't a total douche? Girl, you're a grown woman; stop acting like a rebellious teenager.
Through and through the story didn't suck. And I appreciate the way the bedroom scenes fade to black and keep the book PG-13. Not terribly characters/ people, just real and messy.

Then Again by Sylvie Stewart is a part of the Juniper Court Series and what another fantastic add to the series! The Again follows the story of Jenna and Sam, a divorced mother of two who is wanting to get back out there with the Hottie Cop from next door. Jenna is the mother of two girls who has let her life become all about her daughters, until she meets Sam. There is something about him that draws her to him, and yet the age difference between them is allot for her to wrap her mind around. Sam is drawn to Jenna as she tries to flirt, is uncoordinated and naturally beautiful. The way that she is with her daughters makes him want to be a part of their lives. But convincing Jenna that he is worth the risk is going to take everything he has to offer. This book is full of fun flirty getting back into the dating scene romance with a hot guy and a mom just wanting someone to notice her again. I have read several other books in this series and this is the first one that I want to read again and again. Stewart is a new to me author, but I am looking at her back catalog to find other gems of hers. If you are looking for a great read that will make you laugh, cry and heat your cheeks this is the book for you. Even though it is a part of a series, each book can be read on its own so that is a definite added bonus.
