The author comes off as very angry and jaded. I get it. That's why I read this book. But she's very spoiled and vain, and seriously lacking an adult view.
One complaint about having kids in this book is not being able to go to brunch or bars with your friends.
Newsflash: in 10 years, even without kids, she most likely won't want to stay up past 9. And there are no friends to do that stuff with at that point anyway because the rest will have had kids by then.
Friends can't even take off to go on trips because they used up their vacation staying home with sick kids.
I'm speaking from experience; I enjoy my peace and quiet and freedom, but it can be rather isolating in your 30s when you're the only one not reproducing and aren't a fan of infants. Luckily I'm introverted and actually enjoy doing things on my own for the most part.
I don't knock those who want/have kids - it's just never been for me. And both decisions are ok if that's what you want!
The author just comes off as self absorbed, materialistic, and hostile. I don't think she'll change her tune on her kid free lifestyle, but I think/hope she'll look back in 10 years and realize what a stereotypical, millenial brat she was in her mid 20s and be embarrassed.
Another thing to note before reading is that this reads more like a poorly put together blog than an actual book/memoir/nonfiction/etc. It may not bother most people, but the grammatical errors in this publication had me wanting to get out a red pen and start circling

Loved it!
This was a hilarious take on the "taboo" subject of being childfree by choice. I felt as though I was reading essays written by myself. I really wish the childfree lifestyle was more popular and accepted. I feel like we're getting there, but still have a long way to go.

Yes!
As a 25 year old married woman, I hear all of these same things about my childfree lifestyle. It is infuriating to me! This book says everything and I couldn't have said it better myself.

A quick read about the challenges having a baby brings to a person, and the reasons why the author doesn't want a baby. Many good points though the author comes off a bit vain. Still a light read!
