Dark Psychology Secrets: The Essential Guide to Persuasion, Emotional Manipulation, Deception, Mind Control, Human Behavior, NLP and Hypnosis, How To Stop Being Manipulated And Defend Your Mind

Rate this book
Whether you have been experiencing manipulation for years, or if this is something entirely new, psychological manipulation can be tricky to decipher. Mostly because the manipulators themselves are true masters of emotional disguise.

More often than not, their sweet talking covers their self-serving, dishonest, and, on the whole, sinister intentions. On top of this confusing mismatch of words and actions, they often try to evoke in their interlocutor powerful feelings of guilt or sympathy, so as to make them more susceptible to manipulation.

They can be found anywhere, even in the places we frequent most. It could be your partner, your boss, your neighbor, a co-worker, a distant or close relative, or even a friend. We are talking about people who are masters of certain manipulation techniques and use them to confuse us. Although they are around us, it is not easy to detect these people. Their characteristics and personality traits are not evident. Nobody carries a sign on their foreheads, warning that they are a narcissist or sociopath.

This book has all you might need to get ahead in life, economically, emotionally, or even socially. Within this ebook, we go through a variety of topics discussing and analyzing the dark psychology behind manipulation.

Luckily, you can keep this from happening to YOU, if you know how... Here's just a small fraction of what this book contains:

A small book good for knowing various techniques many manipulators use to influence people. In our daily lives, we occasionally become victims of other peoples's emotions, decisions taken by them, and many times of our own pathetic attitude. After reading this book, one can easily understand the ways other people mold our lives or try to influence us. One can also learn how to get rid of such manipulators. Moreover, the suggested techniques can also be used against other people.

An informative short book that describes ways in which one can detect and avoid manipulation, mind control and deception techniques when someone takes advantage of your naivety.

A truly insightful book that offers its readers the darkside of their own subconscious. A book everyone should pick up to understand their own tendency to be evil(although often times unintentional)

I got a lot of insight about how people manipulate and make the minds scarred. Those who do it, they do have a lot of influence, I must say. With practice and tactics, it can be avoided and the book is about that - it will give a little of the insight to it.

Practically another self-helf book but under a more creative cover... honestly the first two chapters were really wholesome and you guys must give the authors some credits for it, really great, really insightful, it talked about the potential for evil that exists in all of us, even the most altruistic people have it, the diference is criminals act on that impulse while most people consider it a fleeting thought. That's just a short preview on what's going on the criminals'mind... the way the authors analyzed it was worth reading.
But chapter 3 on, it started to get really irrelevant, tbh... I'm sorry for saying that, still, this is a great work, I enjoyed it ( oh, and, chapter 5 about Hypnosis was also interesting to me) and I appreciate the authors for writing it, how detailed some chapters were showed serious research and thorough understading on the matter; but the rest of the book was just so not related to what was advertised on the first two chapters (which was a little disappointing :(( bc that was the reason i started reading this book) and the last chapter was clearly giving self-help advices, which btw were very simple and nothing that other self-help books haven't talked about.

A very brief introduction to such a topic . Useful in the section talking about protection techniques , but mostly very superficial speech .

Too much fluff in between sections, but the headers were good and the definitions clear but overall too much unnecessary repetition

i actually liked how short the chapters are and also gives such a good insight on how others control your mind and how you can avoid such things, this is a quotes i really liked “If ѕоmеоnе fооlѕ уоu оnсе, ѕhаmе оn thеm. Dark Psychology
I was looking through my collection of books on my flash drive and saw this one in the folder “Knowledge”. I can see why I downloaded it. It had an interesting title. Then I’m always looking to find inspiration in dark material (books, television show, etc) to motivate my own writing. While this did have examples of dark pychology used, it wasn’t anything I hadn’t heard about and didn’t give me anything new or spark any ideas to use. I think I was expecting a little more of ..something. This kinda read like a text book. The two I found the most interesting were “Subliminal Messages” andn “Emotional Manulative People”. I’d heard of how subliminal messages are used negatively in advertisement but what was intriguing to me was how they can be used to implant positive messages in your brain by using them at night. There’s even a website. I didn’t go on it but I was curious about it. The section about “Emotional Manipulative People” I didn’t get from it what I thought I would. I’ve known (know) some people like this and I just didn’t see what I expected to in traits and behaviors.

Good book, not fascinating, basic stuff but definitely let’s you thinking and it’s a great starters to psychology books.
Talks about manipulation and what are some kinds of it, how they work and how to detect them being used, NLP Neuro linguistics programming and how it can be detected on body language, how can it also be used in manipulating people. How to manipulate with the Problem, reaction and solution method, gradation of change, postponement of change (giving notification it’s happening), Promote ignorance and so much more. Hypnosis, self, traditional (induced), Ericksonian ( metaphors instead of direct suggestions to let the mind wrap around the idea of things, and they are not often detected by te conscious mind). Deception and how scientists use it because it’s fundamental for research, and how it’s like laying in a subtle way that justify the means. And ways to protect yourself from manipulation, some of them being, Say NO, never ask permission, meditate and find coping skills, trust your judgment etc.

It's an interesting book. I realised a lot because of it and i am very happy that i found it. It shows you a bit of the world of manipulation and in reality many people manipulate you and you dont even notice. I can only recommend it and it gave me the feeling to protect myself from influence of others. I want to read more about manipulation and the human psych now.
enjoy reading it!
PS: it only contains little parts of a whole universe of manipulation and human behaviour. So to just start with these themes and look if you like it.
Yours sincerly

The book talks about how psychology is used for persuasion, manipulation, deception, and NLP.

The author's steps on every person on the earth with these concepts from parents, corporations, politicians, sales, leaders, and public speakers claiming they all use these techniques.

Even if it's true what of it? The solutions given are just another NLP or manipulation technique.

Cheers.

I started this book thinking I'd become a master manipulator. But honestly, manipulation is futile, just as the book wrote. I enjoyed this because of the certain topics of self-hypnosis, subliminal messages, and protecting yourself from manipulation. But I wish it went more into depth with the different types of hypnosis. Regardless fun read.

I like the last part about manipulators and how to deal with them. Honestly I am working closely with one, and have been through all the emotions describing in the book, doubt myself, miserable when I cannot stay far from her. But i know what I should do and think and feel now.

It's definitely a beginner friendly book that covers the basics of dark psychology.
It's totally normal to feel overwhelmed when you really start to understand who other people and the society works, so I think it's a great book for a start. It briefly mentions pretty much all the basic concepts.

This is a good book to have an introductory read about psychology and its darkness. However, it does not share any detailed information about aspects of psychology.

May not be a good option for people looking for a more meaningful understanding of the subject.

The book starts great, touches upon the subject of manipulation. First half is detailed and looks at a larger society, the second half is more towards self help.
