Whats odd about this book is that its not really bad, just lacking. There is a good sense of pace in this quick novella that has at least one decent erotic scene (the second one was silly, flying through space making love over the backdrop of a nebula). Flaw number one is that the author has deliberately limited his/herself by subtitling this as an erotic novel. Its not. It actually has the makings of what could be an interesting science fiction action adventure (which would happen to include some erotic/adult moments). But the subtitle sets the obvious limit and even so the book was going to be at least a 3 star for being entertaining enough until about the last 3-4 pages, which summarily wrap up any loose ends in rapid slapdash fashion.

Imaginative adult sci-fi
I found this story to be delightful surprise. Really engaging, entertaining and imaginative. It could easily be longer, if Derendrea wanted to do some serious world-building, but I’m not sure it would be any better for it. It’s sci-fi bordering on fantasy, with some erotic content seamlessly woven in.
