What a touching love story between an possessive alpha male, Daniel and a very stubborn alpha female, Desire (who really got on my last nerve for trying to push Daniel away). Daniel was in it to win Desire no matter what her intentions were! Desire did love Daniel but that type A personality of hers was too much at time... as though she was fighting her true feeling for Daniel. Still SMDH on Ms. Desire!
So if you like a strong alpha male who knows what he wants and eventually gets it, read "An Alpha's Desire." You will love this lovely HEA!

My Thoughts....
Wow what a good read! All I can say is that when you start reading 'An Alpha's Desires' you will not want to put it down because the author gives the reader so much that only leaves you wanting more. What a read with this 'strong alpha male [Daniel Wentworth] and strong female black woman [Desire Taylor].' I will say the way Daniel pursues Desire was simply off the chart! But what can you expect of a alpha male. The will be many twist and turns as the story goes on delivering to the reader one entertaining exciting read. All of the characters were very well developed, portrayed and even believable giving the story some realness after all is said and done. It seems like their could be many sub stories as the characters come into play with Daniel, Desire, Jules, Lee, Monique, Azeala, James, Jada, Rebecca, Riley, Lauren to name a few that will keep you turning the pages to see what is coming next. One thing I don't want to leave out is how this author knows how to give the reader some hot sexy sex scenes! Will these two finally get to the HEA? Well, this is where I say you will have to pick up this read but I will give you a little heads up...

By the end of this story the readers will get a well thought out, beautifully written read and what I also loved....its a complete story!

The heart wants what the heart wants. Daniel was so in love with Desire from the moment he set eyes on her. She just had to persuade her. Despite all of the family secrets from both of their families, and a selfish crack head cousin attempting to take Daniel's family's Titan Aircraft business from him, they manager to fight for their HEA, even though Desirenda wanted to run at every road block. Wentworth Daniel Rutledge III, with the help of friends and his sister Juliet, not only saved the company but found a way to marry the love of his life, Desire Taylor, despite the claus that was put in his grandfather's will.
This was a mind boggling interesting story that had twist and turns in the plot with very interesting secrets being revealed about the family that had me scratching my head. The book about Nolan and Tamar is going to be very interesting to say the least! I hope it is published soon.

I received this book as ARC for a honest review and I loved it. I loved the relationship between the two main characters , hopefully there will be more to this story. It was love at first sight for Daniel and because of Desire aunt she found it hard to let her feeling out. Q

I love Amarie Books and she doesn’t disappoint with “An Alpha’s Desire”. I couldn’t put it down until I read the whole thing in its entirety…hint I was late for work the next day! This is the story of Wentworth “Daniel” Rutledge III and Desirenda “Desire” Taylor. Daniel pursued Desire like a true Alpha even though Desire fought the attraction between the two, Daniel not once gave up fighting for them to have a true relationship.
This book has so many twist and turns that it will turn your head. It is true what that say that a wealthy family will do everything to protect it’s secrets and boy are there secrets to the Rutledge clan but the Taylor’s have some of their own. If you love Alpha males and Alpha females then you will love this story of love, secrets, desire, and devotion with a HEA! I would love to see this movie unfold on the big screen. Amarie you did it again! I received and ARC of this book for an honest review.

No Limits To Love!
Daniel and Desirenda was hot like fire and ice from the beginning. I loved her and how she didn't show how hot she was for him, oh how he didn't stop till he got his way. What he wanted was Desire, and make no mistake Desire will have his back once she decide he is worth her love. She wants and man like her Father, but what she and her family will learn I'd Daniel will stop at nothing to make her his forever. I loved this book, I was team D&D and hope it all worked out, and it did.

Okay story
Not into BDSM, would definitely have liked a warning. I felt Daniel's success in defeating the stipulation in his grandfather's will was not fully nor clearly explained. I would love to learn more about Nolan and Tamar. Many loose ends left dangling, such as Riley's situation, James, Monique and Azalea.

This book gets a standing ovation from me. I loved it from start to finish and had a hard time putting it down. But I'm into fairytales so I don't think I'd like to read Tamar and No man's story cause it would end in sadness

Amarie has done it again! Daniel is one serious ALPHA male! Desire's character is an excellent woman growing into her own. They have a great love story with some humor and intense sex. I love the story line and the mysteries that unfold. Yep it definitely time to GET SOME!

I think I'm in love with another of Amarie's alpha's. My heart had belonged to Victor D'Ross. But now I must share it with Wentworth Daniel Rutledge III. This book had me hooked from the very first page. I knew he was a force to be reckoned with from the time he laid his eyes on Ms. Desire Taylor. There were plenty of twists and turns, especially regarding family secrets of both families. There were also times when Desire felt insecure about Daniel's intentions and about his real love for her. But he proved over and over again, that he would not be denied his one true love.
This book will make you laugh, make you angry at the injustices the character's had to face. But it will also make you root for them. It will make you wish for a man like Daniel to come sweep you off your feet. A powerful and sexy love story. One that I read straight through. I LOVED it!!

Desire and Daniel scored big time with me. I love a Alpha who is unapologetic about being one, his choice was made and Desire became it. Ms Avant weaved just the right blend of magnetism between Desire an Daniel to make you feel every word and emotion that came through the page. I was equally enamored with the backstory of both their families "baby that rabbit hole goes deep" and while I was satisfied with Desire being a strong beautiful woman, I was doubly more grateful that Daniel was stronger and more determined. As for heat it gets a 10 here's why. When a Alpha fully clothed decides to sit and watch you take a shower tells you "Get yourself off" and the visual of you doing just that.. makes him climb into that shower fully clothed to blow your back out.
Damn it!.. that's a 10. You are on my permanent read list Ms. Avant.

Being an avid fan of Ms. Avant, this book was different from her other works. This story eased us into the lives of the characters by giving us a little about the backstory and then bringing the reader into the story. I wanted a few more details about why things happened, and some things didn't change, but a good book. This books gives a good view of making relationships work and sacrificing in the name of love, while mixing a little BDSM into the story. I read This book overnight and was glad I did. Continue to keep the masses reading Ms.Avant and stay true to yoy.

I really enjoyed Daniel and Desire's story. I love when the author makes the story about they couple and their issues and how they go about sorting out their problems.
Desire really gave Daniel a run for his money. I loved how he pursued her until he got her and when he got her, he would not let go even when she wanted to give up to save him.
I think this is one of my favourite stories from this author. A great read.

Loved it!
Loved these 2 and all the twist and turns of this book. I read this book after I read the fearless series and even though I loved fearless this is now my favorite book from this author. I loved Daniels persistence and how he wouldn't give up on his love for Desire. I'm not a huge fan of BDSM but I loved the sex scenes in this book. I hope we'll see some more of this couple in other books.

Daniel is a Billionaire who fell in love with Desire at first sight. Even though it took Desire to see what a great guy Daniel is, she eventually fell in love with him as well. But due to the contract in Daniel’s grandfather will, he cannot marry outside of race or he would lose everything. Daniel and his friend Ephraim (Ephraim has his own story called Ephraim’s Hurt Room) has to figure out a way to overturn the stipulation in the will in order for Daniel to marry Desire without losing everything.
My two favorite characters are Daniel and his sister, Juliet. Daniel is a demanding and is a Alpha male in a good way. I like the fact that Daniel did not give up on his love for Desire and was willing to lose everything to be with her. Every woman should have a man like Daniel. My other favorite character: Juliet is funny, smart, and have a smart mouth. She speak her mind and at times, it gets her in trouble.
In the end, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book!!!!! Daniel is the perfect alpha male who loves his woman his very being. This book made me laugh, cry, and smaller. Ms. Avant never disappoint. This is a MUST READ!!!!!!!

May 14, 2021Hummmm.... this is my 2nd time reading this and Desirenda is something else! It’s still good though
So this is my 2nd time reading this story and unfortunately Desirenda is still the same: childish, annoying, brat, cold, and not deserving of Daniel at all. I had to found out if this new, extras will somehow make her better but to no avail, still the same and had me truly in my feelings whenever I read her POV.
On the other hand, Daniel baby was bae all the way; although I could do without the BDSM that he indulged in (mostly the spanking and restrains)but to each it’s own and it seemed on some occasions that Desire liked that while explaining how independent that she is and will not take this again.... girrrrl please! Like missy elliot would say : “ get your freak on”.
I any case it was still a wonderful story of how much strength one possesses in order for them to seek the best rainbow at the end of the title. Everyone got what they deserved except for Jada, Scarlet and Ari and Terry... but it’s all good... don’t think I will read it again, but you never know...

First I would like to say I love to see an author grow as a writer. Ms. Avant did a great job of just focusing on the couple it wasn't full of side plots and random people trying to break the couple up. This story just focuses on Daniel and Desire and how they fall in love with each other. Most of the conflict is internal and based on insecurities. While Desire was resistant to Daniel's efforts, it's understandable why she would be, based on his history and past relationships. I think she played it smart and didn't fully reveal her love for him until he proved that he was serious about the relationship and remained consistent. Now Daniel was the best part of this story and I must say has been the best male character this author has written so far in her book (based off of the one's I've read). Daniel new that Desire was his wife and he made it clear to her and her family that they were going to be together. Overall, this was a great story and I look forward to reading more stories like this from this author.

Once again Ms. Avent has done it again. This book will make any women wish that they have their own "Daniel" experience and I for one still hope and prey that all of us will one day experience this type of love, devotion, worship that Ms. Avent has shown in this book. This was the ultimate story, the best of the best and I was very happy to have followed my intuition and read this book up until my birthday.... It was not only beautiful but made me sad as well as I realized that you have not lived if you have not experienced such love, where you have a man who is determine to love this women no matter what he will or has to loose to be with her. Although rich beyond any wildest dreams, he is willing to loose all, walk a way from allot have his "Desire"... He has given her all, an island, and all the diamonds possible and... I can't spoil this as I want you to pick up a copy right a way, you will not regret it

This book was more in-depth than I expected, in terms of Daniel's love for Desire and the family dynamics/secrets on both sides. The twists regarding James (Desire's "on a pedestal" dad) were something :). Daniel has a depth to him, as well, that I really appreciated. I did enjoy the fun banter between Daniel and Desire about her "hams"...too cute. There was even a touch of faith aspect for both them. I learned a thing or two about flowers, too...beautiful.
Daniel lit the bedroom up...fierce! Desire wasn't ready for all that, but she is now ;). And the expressions of love shown during her first visit to Dallas and later at the airport (near end of story)...oh Daniel :)
Another great read from Ms. Avant. The few typo errors didn't detract too much from the reading pace or the story. I do wonder what happened with Desire's friendship with Lauren, though. Overall, a great story!

4 stars for An Alpha's Desire...
The snippets given before the release of this book let the readers know it was gonna be HOT. And I was right, Daniel and Desirenda were exceptionally HOT and their story in between all the hotness was so heartwarming you didn't want to stop reading. When a man who has EVERYTHING (money, power, prestige) is willing to let it all go for the sake of his love for you, HE IS A TRUE WINNER. Was I shocked to find out Juliet was indeed a Rutledge afterall, HELL YES... Glad it all worked out too cause "crackhead becky"...(loved the nickname by the way), didn't deserve a dang thing. Sad that the elder Rutledge men didn't get to love the women they truly loved and although I wouldn't mind reading Nolan and Tamar's story just knowing there would be no HEA has be devastated already. Anywho looking forward to the newest writing... Fearless.

When a man who has EVERYTHING (money, power, prestige) is willing to let it all go for the sake of his love for you, HE IS A TRUE WINNER. Was I shocked to find out Juliet was indeed a Rutledge afterall, HELL YES... Glad it all worked out too cause "crackhead becky"...(loved the nickname by the way), didn't deserve a dang thing. Sad that the elder Rutledge men didn't get to love the women they truly loved and although I wouldn't mind reading Nolan and Tamar's story just knowing there would be no HEA has be devastated already. Anywho looking forward to the newest writing... Fearless.

Powerful page turner
Wow!!! This story of Daniel and Desire is amazing, beautiful , and it shows what true love really is and what it means. They go thru the phase of them finally coming together nad realizing their feelings for each other. After realizing that he loved Desire , Daniel has to find a way to get a clause in his grandfather's will that he could either loss the family business and legacy or he could lose Desire. Both of their families have secrets that were never spoken of until Daniel and Desire got together. By the secrets coming out they realized why their families acted and did some of the things they have done.
I wish there was more on what happen to Lauren and Riley. Also did Eph settle down and if Daniel and Desure have any children.

Normally, I devour books in a single sitting, but this one proved to be a different story entirely. I struggled to get through more than four pages consecutively, and found myself skimming through many sections.
While this book might resonate with other readers, it simply didn't click for me.
What didn't work for me?
My main issue was the plot resolution. Every single problem in the story was solved using a plot device I'll refer to as '$$$'. Now, I don't inherently have a problem with $$$ itself, but it was used here excessively & over the top and, frankly, became ridiculous after a certain point.
Regarding the characters, they were merely 'okay ish,' I suppose. I did appreciate how 'H' repeatedly reaffirmed her, which was a positive aspect. However, he came across as far too cocky, and not in an appealing or tasteful manner

Amazing!!!
This was another phenomenal story by Amarie, I really really really boned reading this. The dynamics of Daniel and Desire were off the charts and made reading this story fun. It was great to see an alpha male who still had his own issues, knew that he wanted and went after it full force and was patient enough to not allow Desires insecurities to get in the way either. The history that was looked into from both Daniel and Desire's families were really interesting to read about, all the revelations were eye opening. I really would be interested and hope that Amarie does write a story of Nolan and Tamar. I am really looking forward to the next story that we got a teaser of, thank you Amarie for the goodies and another great story!!!
