Gabriel and Valor have been flirting around in the previous book since they met. There has seemed to be a connection between the two, beyond both being drangels, but neither seems real interested in taking it further for personal reasons.
Valor has some things in his past that only his brother knows about. He isn't your average drangel and he's convinced with the past he has that once he comes clean nobody, not even the tough alpha would want him. But Valor also has a heart that's just determined to love. He's been known to fall hard and fast in love, but he's just as determined to not give the alpha a shot at his heart. Besides, all Gabriel has offered is a bit of fun and getting to know each other with an expiration date.
For Gabriel he has seen first hand what having someone so close to you, like a mate, can do for a person. But he's also seen how when something happens to the person how it can destroy even the toughest of men. He keeps his affairs light and no longer than a weekend to prevent any kind of commitment.
However, nobody is immune to their mate and when Valor is in danger not only once, but twice because of Gabriel, Gabriel will pull out all the stops to get Valor back and claim him like he should've done the moment Valor stepped foot on Earth.
The mystery of the drangels is finally starting to unravel for us readers! We get to learn there are more drangel males to be discovered and we get to meet a new on in this book.
My only complaint about this book is I wish we would've gotten to see more of the Professor or T as he's called. Hopefully as the series progresses we'll get to know and understand him better...or better yet maybe he'll get his own book =)

If the alpha makes an overture his resolve is likely to crumble and it will be one hell of a way to fall to pieces.
This was a fun story with two people fighting against the inevitable while also fighting towards it too. It was so great when they finally woke up to what was actually true and that they were not going to be able to avoid it no matter how much they denied it. Well written and easy to understand. Contains M:M explicit sexual content.

This story has got it all! Suspense, action, humor, and a scorching hot romance between two drangel guys. Gabe, the serious alpha dedicated to his pack, and Valor, the FPU tech-genius with a crush on Gabe he's trying to hide. When a trip to deliver a message to Gabe finds Valor in a tricky situation, he'll do whatever necessary to protect his crush and figure out what's going on. The bright side is that this forces both Valor and Gabe to confront their feelings for each other and explore their explosive chemistry. But things aren't what they seem, and soon Gabe, Valor, the pack, the FPU, and the Purple Posse find themselves embroiled in a plot that threatens the dragnels future. Amid all the intrigue, Valor and Gabe find their HEA and you gets hints at future couplings and what's to come in this series. I can't wait for the next book!

This is Val and Gabe's story. Val has had a thing for the growly alpha since he first saw him. Unable to do anything because they are both agents of the FPU. Gabe doesn't do relationships he sees the the young Val is attracted to him. When the young Val is taken Gabe swears to tell the man how he feels. Will Val be able to accept just a fling with the alpha? Is Gabe just kidding himself?

His Protector is a story of opposites that have more in common than they think. Gabriel Quenterra is afraid of love as he thinks it will weaken him. Valor Addis is afraid of himself and thinks he can’t fall in love for fear of hurting someone. These two will go through hell before realizing they are perfect for each other. This book is filled with action, adventure and love.

I loved Val and Gabe's story so so much!
Wow, I didn't know if I was going to like this story but I loved Val and Gabe's story so so much. What they went through to see that they were meant to be together was one of the best I have ever read compared to other couples. And I can't wait to read the next book in this series and any other stories by this author.

Valor has been attracted to Gabe since they met. Gabe feels the same way for Valor. The only problem is that their heads want to get in the way of their hearts. Sometimes your heart will put up a fight for the one you're meant to be with.

Loved this story and the whole series. I can definitely recommend reading Val and Gab’s story as they put aside their past and embrace their future!

Yeah for protectors!
Gabe had problem both personal and physical. Val was placed on protection duty and he was Hanes personal problem. They got it sorted together.

A very enjoyable first time planetary paranormal read. Although the fifth instalment in this series the storyline flow and characters were easy enough to follow. I especially enjoyed the burgeoning relationship between Gabe and Val.
