In this romance novel, two rather isolated high school students meet and grow closer through drawing and painting together. Their conversations deal with the childhood traumas that caused their isolation and the question of just how much they would give to find happiness.

Although similar in its themes to 君の膵臓をたべたい, both the language and the characters are more complex.
