It was supposed to be one night with no rules. One night just her and me. Etta is my best friend's little sister, I know I should stay away, but I can't.

Booze has a way of sucking the oxygen out of your fears and feeding it to the parts of your heart you starve. It was the end of summer. The alcohol, fire and a wild look in her eyes was too much to turn away from.

Now we're supposed to go back to college and pretend it never happened. Like, she's still just my best friend's little sister. The girl I grew up with. Not this addiction burning in my veins.

I don't want to hide it. Or sneak around behind my best friend's back. But, Etta is more than just his little sister.

And I need so much more than one night.

One of my favorite tropes to read. Love brother’s best friend romances. Loved this story. We got to meet Gucci and Etta in Player and now it is time for their story. Gucci aka Reed was living with Etta’s family after having issues with his own family. They took him in and treated him like part of the family. Etta had a huge crush on Reed. Reed also had feelings for Etta but he would never act on them because he was scared of hurting his friend and his surrogate family. Sometimes all it takes is one drunken night to change everything. Etta just broke up with her boyfriend and Gucci was there to help and things got a little carried away. Loved the chemistry and attraction between them. But did they ruin their friendship and how her family would treat him? You will have to read and see. I can’t wait to read more in this series and from this author. Highly recommend.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I expected a wonderfully written romance story, and that's exactly what Eddie Cleveland gave me. This book is just what I needed... a blend of chemistry, relationships, family, steam, and FEELS, FEELS, FEELS. Gucci consumed me from beginning to end and I never wanted it to end. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the characters from this series, especially Griz and Hattie's story.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

Hmmm...

This was anticlimactic. I’ve been looking forward to this book and while it delivered on hotness and juicy goodness it was kind of a let down. Still worth the read though!

Gucci did not have a good childhood and was closer to his best friend Griz’s family than he was his own. They are now in college and Gucci has developed feelings for Griz’s sister Ella, but he knows that Griz wouldn’t be happy if they were together and he doesn’t want to jeopardize their relationship.

When Gucci finds out that Ella feels the same way the chemistry between them ignites but when all is said and done will he choose his love for Etta or loyalty to Griz?

The way they talk about women is disgusting, Gucci always comes to conclusions no matter what, but thats not even the biggest sin of this book. The biggest sin the time on the plane when Gucci played THUNDER BY IMAGINE DRAGON.

Gucci and Etta's story is everything I wanted!! They have wanted each other for years, but kept their feelings hidden because of her brother....his best friend. After dumping her loser boyfriend Etta decides to make a move on Reed/Gucci and they finally get together. Things are fabulous, until they realize they fell asleep together, naked, on the front lawn! This begins the awkward torment they go through when they get back to school. I love how their story unfolds and how you get more insight into Aiden/Griz. It may be cliche, but this has all the feels!! I loved it!!!

Thoroughly Entertaining!!

I’m not into hockey, and I’m way past the college “stage”, yet I found myself captivated by this very entertaining story. Completely relatable story of team, family, school, fitting in and doing what is right.

We get to meet much of the team and met Player and his girlfriend in depth in the last story. This time we go in depth with Reed (Gucci) who is taken in when his mom dies, and his dad is sent to prison. Griz is his best friend and Etta is his Griz’s little sister. The bratty tag-along has grown up and is off limits. But love has a funny way of not paying attention to the rules. Delightful story in this delicious series.

Disjointed

Story does not flow seamlessly as subject matter is choppy and lacks controlled pacing. You are reading about one subject when turn page to arrive at a different subject. Thanksgiving ends with closing doors and next thing you read is Etta stretching across a diner's table?. Later Reed is talking to Aiden in their house when Etta matches in ranting about her relationship with Reed without ceremony or any tact. Just out of the blue after previous lies and secretive behavior. Choppy.

I was really looking forward to this book especially with the way Reed (aka Reed) acted around Etta in Player, but it kind of fizzled for me.

Reed is the foster brother of Etta and Aiden (aka Griz) and he has apparently been in love with Etta for years, but didn’t want to betray his second family. I was interested in the potential of the storyline, but for me, it kind of went into a boring direction.

The timing was weird from the beginning of the book they have spent the whole summer avoiding each other and then the night before they go back the “magic” happens. Instantly there is a miscommunication between Reed and Etta that lasted 2 months before they actually talked to each other.

There is really no big obstacle for them to overcome and honestly they were just together the whole book sneaking around. It was just sex with them all the time, the sex itself didn’t annoy me, it was just basically all they did, no dates and it seemed they went into deep conversations when sex wasn’t option. I guess I didn’t see the love unfold and we are basically told they have a deep connection even though they actually hadn’t spoken to each other for like a year prior to the book.

It started off really good and just fell flat for me; also, Etta was a bit annoying with her excuses and stalling.

The whole Aiden baby mama made no scene to me and it was resolved a bit easily and quick.

I’m not sure if I will read Aiden’s book at this time, but he seems to have an internet in his sister’s co-worker, Hattie.

You also have to sign up for the bonus scene.

I must state that I "normally" don't like Sports Romance and College Romance but I LOVED this book. I did not realize that it was the second book in a Series so I am proof that it can be read as a standalone. However, I will be going back and reading Player and I can't wait to read Griz when it is released. Gucci/Reed (by the way, the reason he received his nickname is priceless!) has lived with his best friend Griz, his sister Etta and their parents since his father was put in prison and his mother had died. While Griz has almost been his best friend and "brother" Etta quickly transformed from the bratty little "sister" into the girl he wants but has been told is off limits. When Etta breaks up with her douche of a boyfriend, they spend what was considered a forbidden but wonderful night together but changes their lives forever. There is a wonderful storyline that brings you along for the ride as Etta and Reed try to navigate their "secret" romance all the while Reed wants to "come clean". Please don't miss this story just because you may have had the same feelings toward Sports or College romance's as I did. You will be pleasantly surprised and will add these books (at least the ones by E. Cleveland) to your TBR list.

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in this series. In this book, Gucci (Reed) grew up living with Grizz's (Aiden) family and now plays hockey at college with him. Reed has noticed Aiden's sister Etta and wishes he could tell her how he really feels about her, but he knows she is off limits because of Aiden and Reed living with the family. After a night drinking, Reed and Etta give into their attraction to one another and now they have to return to normal, even though both wish they could be together. When they return to college, Reed is not the same and seems like he is heartbroken. When Etta and Reed leave a Halloween party early, they talk and realize they both want to be together, but know it has to be a secret. Etta and Reed want to be open with their feelings, but they also know Grizz will be angry and hurt, and they don't want to hurt him, which lead to problems for them. I really loved this book, this was so emotional and i really felt for the characters. I liked Reed and think he really loved Etta, but he felt like he couldn't hurt Grizz. Etta was an adult and i thought she should have been able to be with whoever she wanted to be with, but i also knew she loved her brother and was scared of hurting him. I love the whole hockey team and can't wait to read their stories. Another great one from Eddie.

Reed is dying with as much exercising as he is doing, to keep himself busy and tired enough, to keep away from, Etta. Why? She is his best friend and teammate, Aiden’s (Griz’s) little sister. The guys are both juniors and she is a sophomore at Westbury University. Reed has always been in love with, Etta, he has the playlist to prove it. Going back to, the LMNO song she used for, a talent show.

However, these are tidbits he has kept to himself for fear of losing her altogether. You see, Aiden and, Etta’s parents took, Reed in at twelve after his mom died, and then his dad is sent to prison. They have treated him like their own. Paid fees for hockey, then college, and anything else. Although, any accolades in hockey are all, Gucci (Reed). There is so much fear in letting first, Etta know how he feels. Then, let, Aiden know but, Etta wants to wait. At least until, Thanksgiving, but when that falls through, there is trouble in paradise.

Reed doesn't want, to be, Etta’s dirty little secret, so until she’s ready, to come clean he’s done. Plus, Aiden has his mama drama going on, and emotions are running high. Who will break first and make things right?

Very good story. Finally, after the initial shock, a brother realizes his best friend is, the only man for the job. Gucci is the best boyfriend.

The perfect mix of sports romance, brothers best friend / Best Friends sister and forbidden love...

Enthralled from the first page...Etta and Gucci see it all, feel it all and know it all about each other apart from the truth about the others feelings..

One night stand with someone you've always loved who happens to be your best friends little sister / your big brother's best friend is going to end in one of two ways... keep reading and keep guessing.

This book is the ultimate forbidden love mixed with brothers best friend/ best friends sister to lovers with sports thrown in for good measure...not a single word was wasted and every single scene cherished.

Cleveland keeps the twists and turns coming and leaves the stereotypes at the door. Intense, funny, addictive, ALLL you'd expect and more.

The best part of this book you get to the end and you want to read it and the series all over again...on my second reread of the series as we speak.... Cannot wait for book 3 in this amazing series

I am loving this series. Eddie is doing such a fantastic job with them. This is Gucci and Etta’s story. These two have known each other forever. Her parents took him in when his father went to jail, and he has been best friends with her brother Aiden “Griz”. There is one big rule that all the guys on the team know, and this is, they all stay away from his little sister. He thinks no hockey player is good enough for her. That is why Etta and Gucci keep their relationship a secret, but like all secrets, they start to take their toll. There is a lot going on this year, and no one is free from the toll it takes. Etta and Gucci have always gotten along and had a connection, and now, they have a different connection. It’s more personal and it gets stronger. Eddie has a way of just hooking you from the beginning and keeping you reading until it’s finished. I have read his books and don’t realize it’s the end until I can’t scroll to the next page. I love these hockey stories and the characters in them. I can’t wait for the next one.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Etta & Reed. In this book we find that Etta has just broken up with her boyfriend. Though she is not upset about losing the guy she is upset that she stayed in a relationship so long that she had no real love feels in. That same night she finally gets the guy she really wants. The problem is come morning things are said and taken out of context and a misunderstanding starts. Will these two find a way back to a HEA or will this be the end of them being anything but civil at family meals?

This is another amazing story in this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading them in order so you don't give away any secrets. This book does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone

Eddie Cleveland, you have done it once again. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of the series PLAYER! However, I think I enjoyed this one more if that's possible.
The story begins... Etta and Reed, known by the hockey world as Gucci, grew up together in the same house when Reed's mother passed away and his father went to prison. Fast forward to them all being in college and Reed is on the hockey team with Etta's brother Aiden (Griz) who are best friends. There is a rule about not being able to date hockey players sisters. During break Etta and Reed found themselves alone at the house and one thing led to another and a night of passion. The next morning, Etta's parents and brother arrive home and almost catch her and Reed together. You'll need to purchase the book to find out what happens next. Do they get their HEA, or will being Aiden's little sister stop Reed from continuing the romance?
I received and Advanced Reader Copy for my honest review.

Cleveland you have done it again

I loved their falling in love story. How Etta and Reed finally acknowledged their feeling for each other, to finally realize that they were destined to be together. Even though they decided to hide their relationship from her brother and his best friend. Their relationship almost failed because he thought she was ashamed of him to finally realizing that it didn’t matter what everyone else felt or thought of their relationship, it only mattered to them. Etta with the help of her friend Kaylee talking her off her ledge to go and have the face-to-face talk with Reed and let him know that she loved him and he was all that mattered. Her brother was mad, but finally got over it and accepted their relationship.
Know, I can’t wait to see what happens with Griz/Aiden and his date and fake relationship with Hattie. It’s starting out with me hooked already, August is too far, ugh.

Normally I'd suggest going up a size if your pet is between sizes, but this PJ seems to run large. Normally my Romeo since he's so long I try to go to the next larger size to accommodate his length if he is longer than the smaller size but under the larger size. This PJ is adorable but does not have too much stretch in the material even with the 5% spandex so if your pet is "barely" over the length of the smaller size, I would choose that size. My Romeo is 13" long but only weighs 6.2 lbs. so the size I chose for him is the medium, but I believe the small would have fit better since I don't expect him to grow more. This is definitely a warm PJ with the fabric similar to a thick flannel type. The instructions say to either hand wash or machine wash under delicate cycle and DO NOT machine dry but since it is a little large on Romeo, I machine dried, and it did fine and did "tighten" up a bit. This is definitely a cute PJ for the fall/Thanksgiving season with the fall leaves and pumpkins displayed. Romeo will definitely be styling!

Another great installment! ❤❤❤

I don't typically go for the college romance books, but this has two things going for it. 1. It's written by one of my favorite writers, 2. It's about a hot hockey player.

Like most of E. Cleveland books, the charachters are so well developed you feel like you know them. And I love the little comedy bits throughout. I mean laugh out loud funny! I've been waiting for Gucci to meet his match for a while now, and his best friends sister is definitely his match. Etta is so cool on her own too. Although Gucci worries about what her brother will say if he finds out they are together, Etta is her own woman and she just wants to live her own life. I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that I love these two!

I loved this book so much I am voluntarily leaving this review of an advanced readers copy.

The second in Mr. Cleveland’s college hockey romance series. Reed is Etta and Aiden’s foster brother but lately he’s been having feelings for Etta that go way beyond brotherly. They get together but keep their relationship a secret from both Aiden and their parents, plus most of their friends. (Etta tells Kaylee.) They each feel that they betrayed Aiden while Reed feels doubly guilty for starting a relationship with the daughter of the people who took him in. New adult/college romances are not my favourite and sports romances probably come second to that, even. I also didn’t feel that this book was as funny as the first in the series, despite seeming very similar to a re-tread of the first book: college girl dates hockey player and doesn’t want anyone to know. But this was still an enjoyable read and I encourage others to give it a shot.

Gucci

This is the second book in Eddies hockey books and we have all been waiting for Gucci. From the first book Gucci gives of a totally player, sleeps with any girl vibe. In this book though, we get to see why he was like that. I will admit I fell for Gucci, and his super sweet things he does. Etta just makes us feel for her. She has some serious things she needs to figure out, and decide how she wants her life to be. We also get to see the others from the past book, and get a hint at the next one. I also really loved the titles of the chapters, the song list he included, and from the first page could not put it down! Eddies books are all amazing, and cannot wait for book 3!!!!

Can I Give More Than Five Stars?

Wow, just WOW! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Gucci & Etta! The story moved seamlessly from Player to Gucci and continues to build the character base of this world! Imagine being in love with your best friends sister, or your brothers best friend!! Both need to work through the self doubt they have about themselves and their budding relationship. The need to not keep secrets, but also to not hurt others with the news they are dating tears up both of them. This story has all the feels, sweet, sexy, sinful, angsty and fast paced! Eddie Cleveland, you have managed to suck me in to yet another of your worlds and I thank you for it! Now the time is ticking to Griz’ story, and I can’t wait!

Another fantastic read I loved it. Reed aka Gucci is Etta’s brother’s best friend and also her secret crush who happens to live with them growing up. Now what will happen when they all go to college, being a hockey player has its perks, women fawning all over these boys. How will Etta handle this and will Gucci realize what a beautiful women the pesky kid sister of his best friend has become. Will Gucci forget the no dating bro code and let his feelings free for Etta. Etta and Gucci can feel the attraction and chemistry that they have for each other, hot and steamy, will they give in to their feeling for each other? I guess you will just have to read it for yourself as it does not disappoint.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Cute but it was like giving nothing… lol

After reading the first book I should’ve realized earlier that you know this book wouldn’t be the best but still I can’t help feeling disappointed.

There was so much buildup in the first book and yet there was no tension or angst or literally anything that’s good in this book.

It just started off with them being a couple like there was no period that was like should we do this?is this right thing? they just did it and then like there was like two pages of drama the end.
Anyways, gonna read the next one :(
*** also Wtf was the point of the whole griz baby daddy drama?? It lasted 10pages

-I’m just so sad because this book and this plot had literally so much potential to be amazing and it just wasn’t.

Okay, I have to admit I liked book two in the Westbury Warriors series better than the first. Chalk it up to Reed. Don't get me wrong, I loved Etta and she was very sympathetic, but a man that is so in love with a woman he can't have? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

We still get all the fun with the hockey teammates, but the depth of feeling between the two main characters stole the show—er—book. They were great together, and although I wanted to push Etta along sometimes, the fact the two of them were supposed to be together was undeniable. And Reed? Yes, please. Enough said.

Add in the support and fun that Etta’s roommate, Kaylee (from book one) brought, and Etta’s brother and Reed’s best friend, Griz, and it was a super enjoyable read. Looking forward to Griz’s story next!

A real great read! Reed, aka Gucci, is in an awkward position he has deep feelings for his best friend's sister, but it doesn't stop there, he's been one of the family when they took him in rather than go into foster care, they treated him like a son. Etta breaks up with her cheating boyfriend and finds herself alone with Reed where comfort ends up going way farther. Now neither is sure how what's next, is it a one night stand, will it break up friendships, how will her/their family feel. Great story of a couple trying to find the right fit as they maneuver through college, hockey, feelings and secrets. Real feels and conflicts as well as chemistry and loyalty makes this story pull you in! Really enjoying this series!

Rules

I loved "Player" and Eddie Cleveland you did it again with "Gucci". You continued to build up these characters to feel the struggles they are going through.
Reed (Gucci) was taken in by his best friends (Griz) family when he was young. Over the years has fallen in love with Etta (Griz little sister) but had to keep it to himself. Hockey players have several "rules" outside of the rink.
Etta has the same feelings, but the past haunts her. After getting out of a bad relationship is she ready to try her true feelings? Will the "rules" get in the way? Read to find out and I cannot wait for the next book Griz.

I loved loved loved Gucci!!
Reed and Etta are fighting the whole falling in love with your best friends younger sister scenario. After a miscommunication between the two they decide to see how things go before telling Aiden, Reed’s best friend and Etta’s big brother. Unfortunately waiting to tell Etta’s parents and Aiden about their relationship result in feelings being hurt. Trying to make amends makes things even worse. Reading how Reed and Etta figure out the complicated situation and how Aiden deals with it all made for a very gripping story.

HOLY FREAKIN MOLY

I have been waiting for what seemed like forever for Gucci and Etta’s book (I’m dramatic but aren’t we all when it’s the next book in the series?) and Mr. Cleveland did not disappoint . Brother’s best friend is one of my fave tropes and this book was just wow... I cannot remember the last time a book had me UGLY crying in the middle then laughing then crying. It not necessary to read Player but it’s also incredible and will give you contexts for the rest of the series. Mr. Clevand I tip my hat n u sir are now top 7 fave authors 😊
