Calli & Blade
This is the first book in The Faulkner Protectors series.
Callie is an internet sensation and has been receiving some scathing comments on her blog. Her brother Liam is concerned and has asked his friend Blade to watch out for her while he is overseas for 2 weeks on assignment.
Callie is not too happy about this but soon warms to Blade being around. Within the time that they are together, there is an undeniable attraction between them.
But what happens when the person is found that is making the threats and their time together is over?
This was such a great short story.

Mystery, suspense and some steam.

Too close is book one in the Faulkner security series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. When social media influencer, Callie starts getting progressive messages, she finds herself with a bodyguard. As a favour to one of his best friends, Blade becomes a bodyguard for his friend’s sister. What he doesn’t expect is to fall in love with her.
I did see some chemistry between Callie and Blade but I would have liked a little more. Because Callie acted like a brat for a good while, I felt like it overpowered the chemistry.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an entertaining read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
