A well put together collection of poems that are as accessible as they are eloquent.

Walker shows a keen eye for detail as she navigates between the triumphs and the tragedies of a life by the sea.

A great read.

*****

Exquisitely beautiful and lyrical, Claire Walker's collection Collision uses the water and sea to frame changing relationships like the changing tide. The imagery is beautiful and evocative. Self-Fulfilling Prophecy, in particular, recalling seaside memories with my own family. Poetry can have a special power and never has that been needed more than in these troubling times of a lockdown. This wonderful pamphlet is the perfect antidote to these difficult days.

Collision appears on the Special Mention List of the Sabotage Awards 2020.
