BRYCE CAN PLAY is a series of gay erotic shorts. Each story chronicles the adventures of Bryce, a sexy submissive slut in a non-monogamous marriage. Bryce has permission to play around while his husband’s out of town, so he’s cramming his week as full of sexual adventures as he can. With a little luck and a lot of can-do spirit, he’s going to make his husband proud while also earning a rigorous punishment.

These stories are for ADULTS who enjoy explicit depictions of gay sexual encounters. Some episodes are kinkier than others, but each explores the idea of power exchange and giving and taking control.

Travis Beaudoin

Having lived in Miami, Chicago, and NYC, Travis eventually ended up twenty minutes from where he was born, in Nowhere, Virginia, where the days are quiet and the stars are bright. He shares a big old farmhouse with his unbelievably supportive husband, a terrorist cat, and the world’s most neurotic dog.

He's nerdy about lots of things, including but not limited to classical rhetoric, the lives of the saints, Egyptian mythology, Shakespeare, contemporary fantasy, and the Muppets. Nevertheless, he is fun at parties.

He likes rainy days, long drives, and cuddling. He drinks more coffee than he ought.

Though it sometimes contains more plot and character development than is strictly necessary, he gets off on writing filthy gay erotica, usually with a light-to-moderate D/s edge.

He's active on Twitter (@beaudoin_travis) and checks Goodreads when he remembers to. Say hi if you're so inclined.

Whew! It's over 100 degrees outside and this book didn't help me cool off at all. What I learned today is that I may not like MMM books, but I definitely enjoy a threesome. Jeezus. Again, I loved the character development and the backstory about how Bryce met Cort and how they later became best friends. Cort and Alec's relationship and the disagreement Bryce finds himself in the middle of gave this short story a totally different vibe from Bryce's night with Theo. His relationship with the couple had deeper roots and the author did such an amazing job highlighting the difference. On to Wednesday!

In this installment, Bryce reconnects with his college roommate with very hot results.
These stories are sexy and short.

In this second part of the continuing saga of Bryce’s mission to please his absent husband on his return from a business trip, with tales of slutty sex, he reconnects with his old dorm buddy, Cort, and his fiancé, Alec, for a threesome. Bryce and his husband, Mateo, used to play with them until Mateo decided to back out. Alec, also changed the rules as to he being the only one to top Cort. Even though this rule limited Bryce’s role in the sexual games’ dynamic, he still enjoyed joining in.
Thus, on his second night of adventure, Bryce arrives at his friends’ house only to find out that Alec has cancelled, quarrelled with Cort and left the house.
Is Bryce horny and frustrated? Obviously, but decides to stay the night as he has had too much to drink. Cue Alec returning, and what follows is hot make- up sex, where Bryce is invited to join in. It’s a familiar pattern, where Alec calls the shots, tried and tested, and satisfying to all three participants.
Travis, as per his usual style, writes this erotic story meaningfully, and with sensitivity. It’s not just erotica for the sake of a salacious read: he presents a strong plot, with a solid backstory of his friendship with Cort, and his relationship with Alec, as well as references to his secure and loving marriage to Mateo. This story never feels as if it’s too short, that there are elements missing or holes in the plot. He also effortlessly makes Bryce likeable to the reader, even one who may not approve of open relationships. You never feel that Bryce is cheating on his husband. This is the magic of Travis’ storytelling, and it never grows old with this reader.

hot hot hot

This series is seriously so fun. I love that they’re just short well written erotic stories that give background and actually make you invested in such a short time. And they’re soooo so sexy.

Couples Therapy is the second book in Bryce Can Play series. The series is about Bryce and his husband Mateo who travels a lot for work. Mat and Bryce have an agreement that when they are away they can play with other men. It is not just they can but Mat encourages Bryce to play with others. He gets turned on hearing Bryce's sexual escapades so whenever Mat is away on a business trip he keeps texting Bryce asking him to make him proud! Each book in the series I assume represents one night where Bryce is making love and spending the night with a different man. In the first book (On Display) Bryce had a very tender erotic night with Theo. Now in Couples Therapy, it is the next night and Bryce is supposed to meet and spend some good times with his best friend Cort and his boyfriend Alec. The three have agreed to have some uninhibited threesome fun. Like the first book, this one also is told from Bryce's perspective and I assume all the other books are narrated in this way.

There are many things to appreciate in this installment of the series. First thing is that as a reader now I had this sense of familiarity with the main character. I knew him from the first book and now I feel I know him better. I appreciate the author providing us with the background story of how Bryce and Cort became friends, all that made their meeting more spontaneous and relaxing for me to read about. Kudos to Travis Beaudoin for choosing the right title for the story. Bryce acted like a catalyst between the couple, the two guys had some argument to talk about but Bryce's presence helped to ease things down for them and make them communicate, at least in a sexual way. Bryce was the therapy for them. Bryce also knew his effect on them yet he used a different way of expressing it. He clearly mentioned that he was like a toy for them that had some kind of power over them. Another detail that I liked about this story is that the main character knew how to act and play with the couple, he was at ease because as he mentioned in the narration that meeting them in the past and playing in a certain way was like a kind of a ritual for the three that they were all familiar with. The smutty scenes in this book are top-notch, they will arouse you for sure and will make you crave a threesome action! The bottom to bottom scene is something I can't express enough how hot it was for me. It was delicious, to say the least. It is always a big challenge with sequels in every form of media to hold up to the first installment but Travis Beaudoin has done it! Couples Therapy not just holds up to the first book but also moves forward into a new direction. I can't wait to pick up the third book. I need to, soon.

This book covers day two of Mat’s week away, with Bryce meeting up with best friend Cort and his partner, Alec. However, when Bryce arrives at their house, ready for a night of threeway fun, he finds they are in the middle of a fight and they are not in the mood to play. But they soon manage to find a way to patch up their differences with Bryce’s help.

Once again, I was amazed at how much the author could fit into one short story. Despite being only 30 pages, he manages to expertly bring in enough background so that the reader truly cares about each character and their place in the story, while never taking anything away from the heat factor.

The feel of the steamy parts in this book was very different to the feel of those in the first book. There is no tease of a slow build up in book two. Once the action starts then it is full on, with Alec taking control of both Bryce and Cort as they please him. But, again, these scenes were amazingly well written and are bound to leave any reader wanting more.

We pick back up on the day after the encounter with Theo in book one.

Cort was Bryce’s freshman year roommate. Both boys were closeted—very religious, anti-gay parents.

The guys developed a great friendship and even lost their virginity to one another…before they eventually realized that they are both bottoms.

Years later, Cort has a boyfriend named Alec. Cort and Alec have had an argument; Alec just can’t stand the homophobia in his boyfriend’s family.

Appreciate the realness of the anecdotes…and the realness of life as a gay man with family in the South.

Lots of “playing” around…especially for grown men…

Cort and Bryce drink Alec’s very expensive bourbon. The two men have a solid friendship; it’s cool that they’ve maintained that over almost twenty years.

Lots of variety in the action.

Bryce does come off as very judgy in this one. Clearly, anyone not as “liberated” as he and Mateo…is just boring. /s 🙄 🙄 🙄

This is the continuation of Bryce's week of playing with a different man each night while his husband is away for work. But don't worry, Mat gets off on knowing what his husband is up to.

Bryce has known Cort since college and they have a history together. Now just friends, Cort and his boyfriend Alec sometimes meet up and party with Bryce and Mat. Bryce has his night all planned, but when he arrives at his friend's house to play, the couple is not really in the mood. They've been fighting and Alec has left Cort at home alone. Sensing the tension, Bryce stays and talks with Cort about the issue, making his friendship more important than his desire.

When Alec arrives and they reconcile, there's a spark ignited between the three and suddenly, the night is only beginning...

I Loved it! Travis Beaudoin writes a very hot scene, but somehow infuses it with that one sentence that takes it from just plain naughty to heart-fluttering romance.

For the romantics out there, yeah... this is a book for you, too.

Giving a full review for erotica might be daunting to some, but I revel in it. So when the author sent me the first three short stories of Bryce Can Play, I was delighted.

The second installment is a joy. I particularly enjoyed how the fight between the titular couple is still rooted in their love for each other. And of course I loved all the emphasis on Mat and how excited Bryce was to tell his husband about his adventures. It makes the extra-marital moments feel that much sweeter.

I also loved the look into Bryce's college years and his friendship with Cort. It was an intriguing look into the protagonist and makes him even more likeable.

Travis Beaudoin masterfully sets the stage and creates depth in another short, heat-fused nugget.

“Couples Therapy” is book two in a playfully well-done series about an open marriage. Beaudoin manages to keep the overall story arc intact while delving into another heated tryst... which has a completely different feel than book one.

It’s a pleasure to read grammatically correct erotica that is also rich with plot. “Couples Therapy” is a well-crafted, self-contained installment that leaves the reader eager for more.

Highly recommended!

I’ve said it before about this series, and I’ll say it again, I love my smut with relatable characters. Well-written erotica, for me, includes more than just “inert tab A, in slot B.” Travis Beaudoin absolutely delivers in this second installment of the “Bryce Can Play” series. Bryce is charming and the friendship we learn about in this second book is one that is as realistic and sweet, as it is sparking with chemistry.

In this part there were his friends, Cort and Alec, and what do you think happend in this part? Yeah, a threesome! Loved it! Although I love my threesomes with more penetration, but nevermind, I loved it just well. The BJs were really hot and the whole scene was amazing. Two bottom and one top, everyone is eager to please.

I really enjoyed this sexy little read. It's mostly focused on the hotter bits (no complaining about that!), but I was also drawn into the other parts of the story. The author has an ability to paint a vibrant character with only a few brush strokes, and that made for a really enjoyable read. I definitely plan to read the others.

As the series progresses, things get hotter! I really liked that in this interlude with best friend Cort and his partner, Alec, we get a good deal of background about Bryce (and his husband Mat) which makes his character all the more relatable. Deftly written, with the domestic spat adding to the realism and following sexiness.

Yummy

A yummy addition to Bryce’s week. He goes to play with an established couple only to get thwarted by the couple fighting. It’s all works out in Bryce’s favor, of course.

This was a spicy little read.
