This anthology of Sci-fi romance is not only a great way to find new authors, it also has something for all Sci-fi lovers. There’s alien princes, abductions of mates, mail order brides, and even cyborgs. There’s lots of action, strong opinionated women and of course enough romance to keep you reading long after you should be in bed.

KRASH: Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides by Cara Bristol.
MY FEMALE—MINE—SHE IS YOURS

Once again, Ms. Cara Bristol has spun a fantastic sci-fi romance with humor. The new series is a spin-off from her Alien Mate series, where human women were sent to Dakon and paired up with Dakonian men. In this new series, the Intergalactic Dating Agency has involved allowing alien men and human women to use a computer match-making program to help match them up, and the aliens will come to Earth. While this is part of an ongoing series, each story reads well as a stand-alone.

What started with Earth females going to Dakon to marry/mate with a Dakonian, there are so few females each year, and now the Dakonian males are traveling to Earth The only problem, is Dakon needs couples, and offspring and the Dakon men are finding their fated mate on Earth, but very few are returning to their home planet. Enoki, the leader, will encourage Krash to go to Earth, pretending to be part of the IDA (Intergalactic Dating Agency) and to find Dakonians and encourage them to move back to Dakon with their new mates.

On Earth, Cyan Blue works for Debunker Underground, and she is determined to prove the fraud of IDA and the Alien invasion. How are hundreds of women claiming to be dating aliens? Cyan will have to pose as a potential bride looking for an alien mate and sign up with IDA, but using false information. When she isn’t matched from the computer system, they will send in Jessie to take care of the matching personally—and that will be with Krash.

“Two missions are about to collide in a perfect match.”

The meeting of Krash and Cyan will take place at an alien bar, the Stellar Dust Bin, where Cyan believes everyone is in costumes. She doubts Krash when she meets him and believes he is just part of the hoax. Krash is still upset over what Vetha did to him on Dakon, and believes she was his fated mate—but that was until he meets Cyan Blue and the fates are calling to him. How far will Cyan go along with Krash to get her story? When he offers to let her go with him to talk to Dakonians who have married/mated with humans, she jumps at the chance.

“I have a list of Dakonian men who have claimed human females. I plan to meet with them. Perhaps you’d like to accompany me. Then you’ll meet your real live aliens.”

The story has two jaded souls brought together when neither one was looking for a mate. Krash is still hurt over what Vetha did to him on Dakon, and Cyan is bitter over being duped by her ex-whatever he was. But these two start developing feelings and are getting close.

“I kissed an alien, and I liked it. I choked.”

Why is it that someone around you can see what is happening better than you do? When Krash and Cyan visit Kord and Barbara at Barbie Q, it was evident to others that they are falling for each other.

“She has stirred your spirit. You are Fated mates. Our horns react when we meet our intended ones.” He flashed a grin. “The Fates have matched you, my friend.” –Kord

Krash is on Earth to do a job for his people for Enkoi, and he needs to convince others to return with their new mates back to Dakon. While not everyone is willing, some will be. His time is nearly up, will trouble get in the way and destroy what the fates brought together? Can he convince Cyan that the Fates are bringing them together?

“We walk in the boots we choose. Life was an adventure. Life should be lived. Life should be loved.”

The story has plenty of mystery, suspense, angst, and eventually, the tide will turn between Krash and Cyan, and they find their happiness. These two have great chemistry together and deserve true happiness. Will Krash succeed in his mission to bring Dakonians back to their home planet with their new mates? What will happen when he returns with his own mate, and what tribe will accept them? How will Cyan handle the cold of Dakon?

“It’s breathtaking. It’s so pristine and beautiful!”

An outstanding anthology!
This anthology includes a select group of authors, including several of my personal favorites. The stories are highly entertaining. Even though some are part of a series, they stand well on their own, without confusion. The individual stories are quick, but very satisfying reads.

*Kissed by the Alien Mercenary by Mina Carter
First - I love the Warriors of Lathar series. Second - I’m always a sucker for the underdog. It’s no wonder that I adore this story!
Saal J’Qess is seriously undervalued here. Lizzie Kallson sees what others are missing. I see in Saal a kind, thoughtful male, a capable warrior, one who has experienced the seamier side of life. He’s able to divert an attack diplomatically, he’s creative, and knows herbal healing techniques. So versatile! Now, if only a certain class-conscious male would get out of the way. He and Lizzie are perfect together. Read and enjoy!

*Mate Abduction by Eve Langlais
Delightful reading!
I remember reading about the girls left with the Zonian warriors in “Dual Abduction.” Clarabelle is ready to find a boyfriend, but no one purple or otherwise ‘alien,’ please. I think it’s time for ‘Belle to lose a few prejudices. Thyos is quite a fascinating character. Considering he, also, is stuck with a supposed fated mate unlike any other he’s ever seen, he takes it well (after some time). He is certainly patient and honorable (to a fault).
Full of thrilling moments, humor, sass and back-chat, this is a great read!

*Krash by Cara Bristol
True love!
Oh, I love when ‘doubters’ see the light! When all you can see is betrayal, it is not easy to recognize the real thing. This is actually pretty ‘fast-burn,’ although there are some hold ups along the way. Krash and Cyan are so good together. Krash is a sweetheart, and Cyan is a joy to watch as she realizes how different Krash is from her previous ‘romantic’ encounters. A short, sweet read!

*Chance of a Lifetime by Susan Hayes
I love stories from The Drift!
There’s a new girl in town! Erik O’Neill is keeping his eyes on this attractive woman. The woman, Chance, stays to herself, mostly. She has highly unusual abilities, and does her best to keep that a secret. This is an intriguing story. Both of them are private about many aspects of their lives. I have questions, still. I love the interactions with familiar folks around the Nova Club. Hearing from them is welcome. They have a lot of fun at Erik’s expense, but he dishes it right back at them! Erik doesn’t hesitate when Chance is in trouble; he just heads out to protect her as best he can. A splendid romance, leaving me craving more of The Drift, and these people.

*Ashland 297 by Donna McDonald
Fascinating story!
Featuring famed astronaut Diana Daniels and her search for her long lost husband, Ashland. Dia is a talented pilot, a devoted wife, and has an inner strength that has kept her going. She’s about to find out who her true friends are.
I love this story - it’s short, but very satisfying. The author hints that this may become a spinoff series. I certainly hope so! I need more

*Betraying Ko’Ran by J. Thompson
Love at first sight.
I am intrigued by the storyline. Altorians are being decimated - by whom? Bethany, still devastated by the loss of her husband, encounters a crew whose people she believes are responsible for that terrible day. So, why would she give them aid? You must read to find out. Excellent plot, admirable characters. I really enjoyed these folks. The story is, however, in need of editing/proofreading. It becomes very distracting.

KRASH: Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides by Cara Bristol

Alien debunker gets matched with Dakon renegade, who wants his people to return home before there is no-one left to go home to.

Chance of a Lifetime by Susan Hayes.

Look to the stars
You are in for a treat with these brand new stories from some of our favorite SciFi authors. Each of these stories brings about a HEA that is sure to be on your mind long after the book is closed. I can’t wait to read some of them all over again and I still have two more yet to read. The authors really did a fantastic job of compiling these books and keeping you intrigued until the end of the anthology. I’m looking forward to reading more from the authors and the characters in each series.

Kissed by the Alien Mercenary
Waking the sleeping beauty
I have loved all of the Warriors of the Lathar, but this one may just be my favorite. There is just a sweetness to the relationship between these two characters and the many obstacles they have to overcome seem almost insurmountable. Especially when your own family is not 100% on your side. The author did such a fantastic job with this book and the ending certainly brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
5 stars

Mate Abduction
Overcoming misconceptions
This is one of those books that you find the best HEA once you make it past the beginning. With the confrontational attitude Belle wore like armor and the family who were less than supportive, I wasn’t sure the author and the Gods were going to lead these two characters to a HEA. But there was also more than a little bit of humor and sass and this fantastic guy that put up with everything to find the real Belle. The author did not disappoint either, she helped these two navigate all the interfaces and find the relationship they were both looking for making for a story book ending. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author, I’m sure it is going to be just as good.
4 stars

Krash
Keep an open mind
Such a fantastic take on a real job. The author turned the heads on the debunkers of the world when she wrote this story about real aliens. There were so many moments that I could see happening in real life while I read this book. I laughed, probably inappropriately, when Cyan tried to prove she was right and I just about bawled with her when she was crushed. I was so happy when the story ended in the two characters being together. I am not sure how the author will top this story, but I can’t wait to read the next book and find out.
5 stars

Chance of a Lifetime
Taking a Chance
The author did an amazing job with this addition to the Drift. I love how Chance is so innocent and yet so very very brave. I’m not sure I would be as brave should I have been in her situation. And Erik. Sigh. The perfect man, gorgeous and strong and all in once he claimed his lady. This is a fantastic read, fast paced with just the right mix of emotion and danger. I really enjoyed the drama and excitement. I can’t wait to see who finds their HEA next.

Yes I am referring to the book but also the authors who took part. I have read most of the authors who have stories in this anthology but there were a couple I hadn't and now have more author's to read. Mina Carter continues her Warriors of the Lathar series, Susan Hayes gives us another fix of her Drift series and Eve Langlais brings her purple aliens back as secondary characters with a lizard as her hero. And the rest are great reads with the authors either continues a series or starting a new one. This is a great way to read something from different authors and fall in love with space.

All in all this was a great alien anthology.
I loved the guys and the girls and the plots.
It's worth it to give it a try and most authors have series that tie in with these stories.

Loved in Space is a collection of six individual sci-fi romances. These pages are filled with protective alpha males, the smart and brave ladies they fall for, drama, danger, intrigue, passion, and above all, love! The authors imaginations really shine and I absolutely loved each of the stories that I was able to read!

Kissed by the Alien Mercenary by Mina Carter - Lizzie has finally woken up from a sickness for the first time in months, only to find herself on an alien world. When she meets Saal, everything feels right, and she can’t help but want more. But will this sleeping beauty get to keep her prince? I had so much fun reading this little story! While it was set within the Warriors of Lathar series, you didn’t need to read any of the previous books to understand what was going on. Lizzie and Saal are a super cute couple that rely on one another and can’t help but let their hearts beg for more! I loved that Lizzie didn’t care at all about Saal’s status, and I loved that Saal did his best to provide for Lizzie, even when she was sleeping from her illness. I loved how everything played out in the ending, too! This was a fast paced novella that had me flipping pages and got me really excited about what’s to come in this collection!

Mate Abduction by Eve Langlais - Clarabelle is ready to find humans to surround herself with, so she goes on a mission. Thyos is not what she was expecting though, most notably, he’s not human. Will he be able to convince her to give him a chance and that they’re soulmates? Oh my goodness, I loved this book! So much stubbornness from both characters, I loved how Clarabelle didn’t give in easily and how Thyos refused to give up! Clarabelle was one to follow her own dreams, to fight for what she wanted, but she had a lot of passion and curiosity! Thyos was a fun character because of his interactions with the goddess, his own brand of stubbornness, but I loved that he respected Belle’s decisions and only wanted to make her happy. The ending of this book was so fantastic, my heart was so happy, but I loved all of the drama that needed to happen in these pages, too!

Krash by Cara Bristol - Cyan and Krash have been matched through the Intergalactic Dating Agency, yet neither one of them truly want the match. But as they spend more time together, could what they truly need be right in front of them? Ohh, this book was a fun read and I loved how hard they both fought against what fate was telling them! Cyan is essentially undercover, such a cynic, but I loved that once she found proof, she was willing to open up both her mind and heart to the idea of aliens and possibly finding more. Krash had been humiliated and just wanted to return home, but I enjoyed his slow acceptance of what his tingling horns truly meant. If you hadn’t read any of the previous Dakonian Mail Order Bride books, you wouldn’t feel lost, but this series is full of fun and love and the perfect amount of drama to keep you flipping pages!

Chance of a Lifetime by Susan Hayes - This book is set within the Drift series, but reads well all on its own. Erik has his eye set on Chance, but with both of them having secrets, will they be able to find a future together? Ohh, this book was so good, and I was so thrilled to be back in the Drift! I absolutely loved Erik and Chance together! Erik was an amazing protector, of those he loved and of Chance, who was slowly stealing his heart. I loved that he was trying to give her all of the experiences she’s missed out on, too, swoon! Chance was innocent and sweet and I loved that she wasn’t a fighter with her body, but her mind was wicked sharp! I think they made a really great team, but I honestly wish this book was a little longer, or I could have spent more time with them. Explosions, passion, secrets, and a budding love, how can you go wrong with this book?!

1. Kissed by the Alien Mercenary follows in Mina's series Warriors of the Lathar. Significant appearances are made by previous characters, namely Chief Healer Laarn and his mate Jess whois comatose Lizzie's twin. Lizzie is cared for by Saal. Their instant attraction when Lizzie awakens is a fairy tale only interrupted by Laarn's interference. A great addition to this series.
2. Mate Abduction follows Eve's series Alien Abduction and if the reader isn't acquainted with this series it would be suggested to at least read Dual Abduction that sets up this novella before tackling Clarabelle's story involving her search for an independent life with other humans away from Zonia and the Amazonians that are the only inhabitants of this world.
3. Krash: Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides is the 7th in this series involves a skeptical fraud reporter, Cyan Blue, and the Dakonian, Krash, sent to Earth to get others like him to return as their males have no to desire to leave Earth and their fated. Cara has filled her story with such snarky remarks as "Krash, hope that didn't indicate the spacecraft's landing abilities. A story set on a collision course.
4. Chance Of A Lifetime by Susan Hayes. A switch in cyborg stories in that Chance is a female cyborg and her love interest is human Erik O'Neill. This story is set in Nova Club and a space station and it is a mysterious story involving the secrets Chance must keep close to her heart and Erik who is falling for her; attempting to swoon, seduce, and love her with his whole heart. Previous characters make appearances from other books in this series. The risks to both of these characters is real but the reward is worth the risk.
5. Ashland 297: The Alien Agenda by Donna McDonald. Oh how I loved reading this one. Government subterfuge, Area 51 mystery, aliens populating Earth for unknown centuries, and one woman, Dia, searching for her husband believed dead for the last ten years by everyone but her. Her love is true and won't be denied until she sees his body. Little does she know the sacrifice made by Ashland under the guise of their lying friend. The ending will come as unexpected as love will know no bounds and no limit is too high a price to pay.
6. Betraying Ko'Ran by J. Thompson. Now here is the author I've never read before but after completing this book I need to read more of her works. Altorian cyborgs have been betrayed by their makers who are attacking, destroying, and killing all cyborgs they can get their weapons on. A group of these five cyborgs survive the last attack but not without injuries, make their way to an isolated farm, and stumble into the home of Bethany Walker and her one and only companion, Maxine the goat. Bethany is a famous space pilot alone and isolated since the murder of her husband Duncan allegedly by cyborgs. She knows this to be true since she witnessed the atrocity. But with the arrival of Ko'Ran and the others she can't believe anything anymore. The answers astounded me as the reader and I think it will also at least mildly surprise any other reader as well.

5 is not enough stars!

KISSED BY THE ALIEN MERCENARY takes us back to Lathar, I love the mythology that the Lathar seeded Earth and we are like distant cousins. The thing I don’t like is their Caste system, I mean the universe has enough haters. Lizzie’s presumptive higher class makes her out of Saal’s league. But the heart wants what the heart wants. Their story is a sweet romance with a couple of twists for angst and action and a heartwarming short read.

In Chance of a Lifetime the Drift welcomes an unusual cyborg. Chance Smith is not a soldier, doesn’t know how to fight, and is a veritable youngster. When she catches the eye of Nova Club security guard Erik this could be very bad, because she has secrets. I LOVE the Drift, the cyborgs, the humans, and all of the funky aliens. I’ve read about it so much I feel at home in these stories. But instead of the usual fast passed action, this tale is a sweet sexy falling in love story with just enough angst and some cool sci-fi twists.

Krash brings us back to the Drakonian world and the Intergalactic Dating Agency, but neither Krash nor Cyan are really looking for a mate. Two broken hearted people and fate takes over. I really like the integrity of the Drakonians. They’re just looking to rebuild their world and do the right thing. And this tale makes us a part of that journey.

Ash 297 sort of wraps up the Cyborg storyline of Dr. Kyra Winters and Peyton313, who had been trying to find all of the cyborg soldiers to reintegrate them into human society. The heart of this tale though is a second chance love story that is so moving I just wanted to sob at one point. Dia is so well portrayed I felt her pain. For a short read this sci-fi story checks all the big story boxes.

The title Mate Abduction is somewhat misleading. Clarabelle’s Awakening might be more accurate, because when Clarabelle goes looking for a human boyfriend she finds maybe human is not what she needs. I love these characters. Clarabelle is a bad@$$. Thyos is tough, sensitive, honorable, gorgeous even if he has a tail, and everything Clarabelle needs but doesn’t know it yet. This story has some action, so much angst, and made me laugh out loud. Great read.

In Betraying Ko’ran Terrans, having created cyborgs called Altorians to protect Terra, now want to get rid of them. Like they’re not sentient living beings. When Ko’ran meets Bethany, while on the run, both of their worlds are turned upside down. The storyline has some intriguing twists. The characters are well developed and steal your heart. I hope we get more of this world.

Overall a very satisfying read. Four shorts from series I've read before and two new-to-me authors.

Alien Mercenary: I do love fairy tales in space and the Sleeping Beauty vibe here rocked my socks off. Lizzie awakens on a strange new world with her sister and mom happily mated to aliens (which is already kind of a big shock). And the one alien she likes spending time around is the one her bro-in-law warns her away from (which, frankly, was pretty much a jerk move on his part). Things end up working out, but not before some danger and some sisterly solidarity.

Mate Abduction: An orphan raised by Amazonian aliens, Clarabelle wants some normalcy is her life (and potential boyfriend). What she got was a sexy alien man and a couple of meddling gods. Fun, a little crazy, and with some familiar purple aliens popping in to make me laugh.

KRASH: A broken-hearted Dakonian who DOES NOT want a mate or to stay on Earth meets a human woman determined to prove the extraterrestrial dating agency she just joined is a massive scam. Turns out it's not a scam and Cyan and Krash connect nicely. You know, except for that thing where he's not looking for a mate and she's only meeting him to expose a fraud. GOOD TIMES!

Chance of a Lifetime: Well, well, well. A cyborg who isn't the typical type of cyborg found in the Drift and the human security for the Nova Club. Chance isn't quick to trust (for reasons) and it almost lands her in hot water when things go sideways. The Drift cyborg family continues to expand and I'm digging that.

Ashland 297: Now that I'm thinking about it, this isn't a new to me series. I've read a previous story about these cyborgs and...man, they had it tough. Dia's held onto the hope she'll figure out what happened to her husband through the years and when she finally finds out the truth...well, it's nothing like she expected. (PS: Her boss-friend deserved everything that happened to him. And probably more.)

Betraying Ko'ran: Not my favorite of the anthology, mostly because I felt like Bethany's feelings about cyborgs (going from hating them for killing her husband to jumping into a relationship with one who looked like said dead husband) did a weird turnaround without much warning. Admittedly, I could have missed something, but from actively hating an entire group of beings to shacking up with one in the course of a few meetings didn't quite work for me. Still, growly cyborgs are always fun.

I’d like more of these stories.
Kissed by an Alien Mercenary
I actually enjoyed this. I’ve never read this series. The world building was interesting. It does suck to be poor on any planet. I liked the twins. Good humor.

Abducted Mate
“and he waited for her to get eaten.” Not a very chivalrous mate. I liked the world building, especially the Zonians.

Krash
This author thinks up the most intriguing situations. Funny and witty. Poor Krash just stole my heart. So glad the exodus is slowing down.

Chance of a lifetime
Loved Chance the gentle, predictor cyborg. This family makes me want to read more about this station. Very interesting. I will.

Ashland 297
This was so good. Dis and Ashland just make me want to swoon. I’m definitely going to read more from this author.

Betraying Koran
Man this story made humans look crappy again. When are there going to be books about humans doing good?
Some scenes were repeated, does the author struggle with dual POVs? This was my favorite story of them all. I went to look and see if there was more on these Altorians. Sadly no but I’ll keep looking. Great world building and interactions.

I really loved this anthology. It's wonderful. The reader will giggle with Eva Langlais's story. Fall in love with Cara Bristol's well written and real characters. The first story that I read and enjoyed by Mina Carter was engaging and sexy. I loved Betraying Ko'ran and want to find out the next story in this series. I enjoyed Susan Hayes's Drift story, the first one that I read, will read more. All the stories are very engaging and will pull the reader in. I very highly recommend this book.

Read mostly for Mina Carter, Susan Hayes and Donna McDonald. All stories are part of current series. Really liked Lizzie and Saal. A bit of a Sleeping Beauty type story. Laarn was being a jerk to Saal so I wasn't liking him much in this story. Susan Hayes' stay takes us to the Drift and back to the Nova club. I hated to see that one end. I think it would have made a great fill size novel. I really need to read some of Donna McDonald's books before this novella. It has been awhile and I have forgotten some of the series.

I love anthologies. They continue some of my favorite series, so just for that they are great, they also allow me to check out new authors. Some of the series I love were discovered in anthologies.
This one is no different. I love the Lathars, (I want one for my birthday), The Drift and the Dakonians. I also discovered Ashland 297. I'm looking forward to reading more from Donna McDonald and J. Thompson both are new to me but I enjoyed their stories very much.

Loved in Space

This anthology is a collection of stories involving cyborgs, aliens and humans. It shows that there is good and evil in all beings and that everyone has a desire and a need to find love no matter what obstacles they must overcome. I really enjoyed the many authors who participated in this collection and the chance to discover new authors. Well done.

This is a lovely collection of stories. My favorite was Cara Bristol’s Krash. They both had reasons for being in the IDA, Interplanetary Dating Agency, that did not involve meeting their life partner. The story rolls along with lots of humor, romance, and a happy ever after. I enjoyed getting to see some of the characters from the other books. A really good read.

Hooboy. I have no idea what I will rate this collection, but I've decided to rate each story separately and average it from there.

Here we go!

This is a substantial collection of sci-fi shorts for a very low price ($0.99 Amazon), and no matter how this rating turns out, it's worth the entertainment value, but OUCH. This would have paid out more for the authors as a KU offering. Exposure kills, ladies.

I do not want to kill everyone with a wall of text; all reviews are hidden behind spoiler tags to save you from scrolling until the end of time. You're welcome.

01: Kissed by the Alien Mercenary- Mina Carter A Warriors of the Lathar Novella

So. This gets 3 stars. If you're a fan of this series, you'll probably get more enjoyment out of it than I did.

02: Mate Abduction by Eve Langlais

3.5 stars despite the idiot sandwich FMC.

03: KRASH: Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides #7- Cara Bristol

3 stars. Please stop feeding me idiot sandwiches now, thank you.

While the first half of this anthology was alien romances, this second half has a cyborg theme.

04: Chance Of A Lifetime-Susan Hayes

It was...nice. 3 stars.

05: Ashland 297: The Alien Agenda Cyborgs: Mankind Redefined, Book 7-Donna McDonald

This was an interesting piece of short fiction that gave me some things to think about. 4 stars.

06: Betraying Ko'ran An Altorian Cyborg Novel-by J Thompson

2 stars. Please, not again.

Loved it!

Some known authors to me and some unknown. All the stories were terrific. They had the same basic theme. I was sad to come to the end. I'm going to go hunt the continuing stories for all of these!

Super Six

If you like your romance to have a little alien spice added to it, this is a fantastic collection from six different authors, all with an alien or cyborg theme.
I picked this up because Eve Langlais is one of the contributors, and I had already read her Accidental Abduction series. Her story here is a spin-off from it and I enjoyed the familiar universe and back story. Another favourite was from new-to-me Mina Carter, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed every one of the short stories (novellas? Never sure of the difference) that are included.

Yes!

I enjoyed all the stories in this collection. There was a lot of action and a lot of romance. Nothing too graphic, well that last book got a little gory but it was still enjoyable. I would buy books from all of the authors, some new to me and some old favorites.

Loved in Space

Great anthology of sci-fi romances. Each one is a standalone but part of a series. I discovered a few new series that I definitely have to read.

Kissed by he Alien Mercenary - Mina Carter 5 stars.
Part of the Warriors of Lathar series, the latest installment in a series that features earth women (mostly military) finding romance among alph males unused to independent woman. Tightly written, romantic, suspenseful, and steamy.

Mate Abduction Eve Langlais 3 Stars.
Raised by aliens, Clarabelle goes looking for humans and boyfriend only to end up captive to a big purple guy. The author's feisty heroines are usually LOL, but Belle was just annoying.

Krash: Dakonian Alien Male Order Brides Cara Bristol 4 Stars.
Investigative reporter, Cyan, is assigned to expose the Alien Male Order Brides as a hoax. Instead, she finds that the big, sexy, horned guy, Krash really is an alien. One on a mission to save his planet. I really enjoy this series when I need some light reading, and Dakonians are my favorite horned guys. That said, Cyan isn't my favorite heroine. For someone who deals in facts, it took her way to long to face facts.

Chance of a Lifetime Susan Hayes 5-stars.
The author's Drift books fluctuate between 3.5 and 5 stars for a variety of reasons. The character of Chance, a female cyborg, put this firmly in 5-stars. I love a brilliant heroine with issues, and a story where she finds a man strong enough to be with her, and decent enough to treat her well.

Ashland 297: The Alien Agenda Donna McDonald 4.5 Stars.
This was my first story by the author and it was surprisingly different. It's hard to review without spoilers, but the aliens are very alien, and while the the hero/heroine get the HEA, the story is really a mystery/political thriller.

Note: I bought this on pre-order and tore through it as soon as it hit my ipad.
