Great read. Loved Maya and Slate. Great chemistry between them. Wonderful to see all three friends get their very own HEA. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Slate is the third book in third book in Ava Pearl’s Granite Valley Mountain Men series. In this delightful love-at-first sight romance we meet Maya and Slate. Maya came to the mountain for a get-away treat from the hectic pace of the city, along with two other girlfriends. The girls decide to go skiing, but Maya needs lessons. They sign her up for lessons with Slate Outdoor Center. Once Slate sees her, he is smitten. He decides to personally take her under his tutelage. Fate brings them together. Their romance is a tender one. I enjoyed this series. I like the idea of focusing on a community. In this case it is a community of reclusive mountain men who are smitten by the love bug and find their soul mates. Like the others, Ms. Pearl’s use of an epilogue nicely tied up loose ends of her story. Nice job, Ms. Pearl!

First things first; I love the cover of this book.
Slate is book three in the ‘’granite valley mountain men’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Slate is a ski instructor on granite Valley Mountain. When he meets his new client, Maya, he instantly wants her.
The chemistry between Maya and Slate is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Compromise

Maya and Slate, from two worlds that collide when she is on a girls weekend with her friends. What she never expected is to meet Slate, kind and her perfect man in every way. They just have to figure out if they want to merge their lives. Is love enough for her to give up the city or him to give up his mountain life?

The author has given us everything. Beautiful curvy woman, hot mountain man and instant attraction. Luckily for us, Maya and Slate act on their impulses.

Okay

After reading Ridge I was looking forward to Maya’s story but it let me down some. I found that the story wasn’t as engaging but also it had several mistakes that just made it a little distracting. I’m really hoping the next installment is as enjoyable as the first.
