Demanding Redemption

Rate this book
Secrets always have a way of exposing themselves when you least expect it.

From that very first night, when Erica fell into my lap, I wanted her. More than anything.

I’m addicted to her. Those curves, that smart mouth... but most of all, the darkness she thinks she keeps hidden in her eyes.

I’ve spent weeks trying to break down her walls, discover what she's hiding, but I'm keeping secrets of my own.

When she finds out the truth, there is no turning back. I can't demand that she hear me out, when I’ve no idea where she is.

Set on proving that she’s the only one for me, I refuse to let her forget the fire that blazes between us.

I won’t allow her to keep running from what I know we both want, but when her pregnancy bombshell is dropped, will I be the one running?

Dear Reader,

Demanding Redemption is the second book in Erica and Trey's steamy story and the fifth book in my Forbidden series.

It's time to get into the mind of Trey! Trey is such a sweetheart wrapped in the body of a badboy. I love his demanding and dominant side, as well as his sweet and caring side. He is just the perfect mix! This book continues on from book 1 and it is such a great read!

I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give anything away at all, you HAVE to experience this goodness for yourself. There are twists and turns that kept me intrigued and i was captivated from A to Z. I am so interested to find out what Joe's book will be like. It's already shaping up to be completely different from what I thought, but I can not wait.

This duet is definitely a must read for those who love an age-gap, office romance! Fall in love with Trey as much as I did. This story is just so good! I can't wait for more.

In the minority here, but this one just didn't do it for me.

A sweet second chance at happiness for Trey when he finally realized that Erica was the one for him. The uneven pacing of the story stymied the momentum of the romance and resolution between this couple. Trey was definitely not an alpha male full of confidence. Most of the time I felt he was in a state of bafflement and confusion with the way his life was turning out. I know he was separated from Sarah, but he failed to tell Erica about his wife and two daughters. They were separated, not divorced yet and in my book, that's cheating. I thought he should have been man enough to give Erica a chance to know that she was the other woman and to choose to be that even if for a little while before his wife actually signed the papers.
Yeah, his excuse of "it" being over for a while, and having just moved out three months prior all the while doing the nasty with Erica, didn't give me a good feeling about Trey, his honesty, integrity, or maturity. Not my idea of a hero.
Erica was fine with all of it even though it took the first fourth of the book for Trey to track her down. Everyone said to fight for her, but seems like Trey did very little fighting before Erica fell back into his lap.
As awful as Sarah behaved, I kind of felt sorry for her as she was painted as the cold unfeeling b of a wife and mother, and the young Erica was the softer more accepting female figure for her daughters. Their romance just didn't sit right with me.

This is book two of Trey and Erica's romance and you must read Craving Redemption first to get this couple's complete story. Big secrets and twist cause major fallout and optimum damage as the story picks up and continues to unfold. As a big fan of the forbidden romance trope I really enjoyed this book but I do wish that these two could have been more open and honest with each other. Holding things back adds lots of drama to a book but for me it is a pet peeve. Of my own accord I am posting a forthright review.

Demanding Redemption by Tracy Lorraine is book 5 in the Forbidden Series. This continues the story of Trey and Erica, so you really should read the previous book 'Craving Redemption' if not the other books. Trey's secret has come out which of course made Erica turn her back on what was growing between her and Trey. Trey is now working to build his ground back up with Erica to win her back but Erica's secret is still hiding in the dark where it doesn't stay for long.
Really have enjoyed their series.

Tracy has a way of taking you on an emotional rollercoaster with her characters before providing a sweet ending and Erica and Trey's story is no different. The main characters, as well as all of the supporting characters, are well written with flaws and insecurities. There is so much love, pain, courage, fear, and strength in these pages.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and completely HEART it!

When the secrets of Trey’s past are exposed both Erica is left reeling. All she can process is that once again she has been betrayed by the man she loves and all she wants to do is get away.

Trey knows that they are meant to be together and he is determined to find Erica and convince her to give him a second chance but how will he react when he finds out Erica has a secret of her own?

Better than the last one, but still a 3 star. I have realized that I like the author's books better from the male perspective. I feel like the characters are more well developed when she switches to the male character. I wish all her books would be dual perspective rather than switching perspective for each book. I loved the ending though and the surprise baby trope is a fave of mine. It was very sweet.

Oh god...the angst!

Tracy Lorraine knows how to drop the angst gauntlet. Lies are uncovered, truths are forced into the open, emotions run rampant.

Trey was such a heartfelt character. Many times I felt like Erica was the mature one of the two, but I could kind of see Trey's issues and opinions.

This wasn't a cookie cutter, easy read. Lots of frame, lots of heartache, but that ending left me satisfied!

This was a page turner the entire time. I loved getting to dive deeper into the Trey and Erica's story, both individually and together. They developed so well. The chemistry was off the charts between the two. This book shows the complications the characters have to overcome. It really show how they can prove how strong their relationship can be. Tracy definitely delivered another fine job on a book. I recommend this one as long as you've read Craving Redemption.

Demanding Redemption by Tracy Lorraine is the conclusion of Trey and Erica's story. This book has twists and turns that come to light that will test their growing relationship, but it will also show how strong their relationship is making it easier to trust their growing affection for one another.

Erica & Trey

Are mentioned in the 3rd Forbidden book, and their chemistry is off the chart for an older man/ younger woman.

Tracy has a talent for developing characters And emotion so realistic, she also LOVES teasing us with these cliffhangers 😅

Just an okay read (listen) for me. I probably wouldn't have read it if I didn't already own the duet on audio, because book 1 wasn't all that engaging for me. But it was okay. The audio was great.

I feel like I have been waiting forever for the conclusion to Trey and Erica’s story! The first instalment was left on such a cliffhanger it really boded well for the second portion being explosive.
Tracy Lorraine didn’t disappoint; this was a stormy read. Trey has a lot to grovel for, and Erica isn’t going to make it easy for him. I liked that she didn’t give in easily. She was hesitant and made him work for her forgiveness.
The attraction between the two was apparent, which made Erica’s resolve that much more difficult and admirable. There is, of course, the added complication that everyone needs to come to terms with. There is plenty of drama and hold your breath moments. You are left wondering for almost the entire story whether they will get the Happy Ever After that you are championing for.
This was an excellent conclusion to Erica and Trey’s story; I thought it was well developed and really drew you into their lives. You felt invested in what was going to happen to them. I hope this isn’t the end to the Forbidden series and that we are going to get Joe’s story as he is definitely hiding something.
Overall, a fantastic read and I wouldn’t expect anything less from Tracy Lorraine as she certainly knows how to write a perfect love story!

ARC copy received in exchange for an honest review !

This book in the second in a duet and book 5 of the forbidden series . It’s the continuation of Trey and Erica’s story and is written from Treys perspective .
(Make sure you read craving redemption first !!)

Trey and Erica’s story was sizzling hot from the start . Their older man/younger gal forbidden love story is addictive , sexy and fun until everything comes to a halt .
This book is the aftermath- Trey has a lot of work to do to win Erica back. And bless him , he doesn’t give up!!
Trey is everything a man should be . He’s learnt from his past and he’s after a different future and he doesn’t stop til he gets it.
Erica on the other hand is scared and unsure and needs him more then she’s willing to admit .

With all the characters present - joe, Lauren and Ben, plus a couple of new ones , this next installment in the series is a great read !

I’m really looking forward to the next book too which will be joes story !! He’s mysterious and intriguing !

Demanding Redemption may be the fifth book in the Forbidden series, but it's the second book in Erica & Trey's story, so you absolutely MUST READ Craving Redemption FIRST! We were left on quite the ending in the previous book, and this story picks it back up from there, only in Trey's POV which I really wanted and/or needed. I won't go on to give a description about how this story picks back up for those who haven't read either because that may ruin Craving Redemption. Just know this, it was big, and it was sucky because it hurt my girl Erica, yet, I didn't hold it against Trey too much, as he knew he messed up. And Erica definitely made him pay by putting him through the paces, because see, she just couldn't handle one more man breaking her heart, so the intense & frustrating push & pull commenced which had me ready to pull my hair out. Plus, it made for a great deal of angst that just seeped out of my kindle. So, did Trey actually get past Erika's walls so she would forgive him?! That's something you'll have to find out for yourselves by one clicking! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Maybe this is a reason why I hate reading a duet or a trilogy because if the second or the last one isn't good enough it will ruin an impression of the first book. When Tracy decided to write Erica and Trey's story, I was so excited. I thought it would be a standalone in the series but then I found out it was a duet so I kept finger crossed. The first book is so good and I wanted to know how Erica will do after Trey's ex turned up. But I am disappointed by this book. I know that Erica has been through a lot but she is so unreasonable. And the entired book is like cats and mouses game. Beside I don't feel any passion between Trey and Erica anymore. Sorry that I have to say I don't enjoybreading this book.
