Samuel Edgemont spends his days teaching political science classes to would be lawyers at a nearby college. He has been teaching in Eastern Kentucky for the past five years and hopes to continue for at least another five. Sam's life is peaceful and has a routine that suits him. What he doesn't know is he is being watched. One of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the country has discovered something about Sam that could be considered the fountain of youth. How they came about this information is nothing short of criminal. What they intend to do to acquire the source is nothing short of murder. With tens, or even hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, it comes down to how much a single man's life is really worth.
Don’t want to do a spoiler so have to be careful. Powerful and unethical big drug companies attempt to exploit a college professor in KY. I know the area very well and the location played nicely, creating a story within a story. Intriguing premise, well written and very enjoyable. I read at least one book a day and I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this author.
I enjoyed the story in the book But I couldn't get over all the grammar errors. This author should have a book editor of someone who has studied grammar to help with the writing. I have never heard of reaching someone something. You hand it to them. Simple story with many characters that are not simple.
The Donor started off well and had a fairly interesting idea but then took it in a completely different direction, not in a good way, the last 80 pages. It had a very disappointing ending. It initial reads like a medical suspense novel then becomes completely religious. Not for me and not recommended unless you know the aforementioned up front.
NW. has penned a Kentucky Medical novel with a twist titled "The Donor." If you believe in God you will not be able to put this novel down. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
It’s too bad this book didn’t have a good editor, because it had an interesting premise. Unfortunately the ending left much to be desired, and the grammar errors were distracting. Can’t recommend.
Good story idea but poorly written. Grammatical and typing errors throughout. Build up of the story is good but the climax and resolution is pedestrian and is not fleshed out. Do not recommend. Author needs to hire a good editor.
From near the front pages, it appears to be self-published on Amazon. The Southern Baptists start to appear on page 242. Reincarnation journey from page 282. About sums it up.
