Demi
Dropping out of college senior year was never part of my plan. But Dad needs me, and I'd move mountains for the only parent I’ve ever known—even working for the company that fired him.

My boss, Charlie, is determined to make my life a living hell, availing of every opportunity to undermine my confidence, to humiliate and threaten me.

Sleeping with him the night of his wedding might have something to do with his attitude.

Or the fact I’m the spitting image of the woman he really wants.

If our financial situation wasn’t so dire, I’d tell Charlie to stick his job up his delectable butt.

But I’m trapped, and things are only getting worse. Because the more layers I uncover, the more I realize he is nothing l expected and everything I crave.

Charlie
If there was a manual for all the ways a person could mess up his life, it’d have my name written on it.

I can’t undo the things I’ve done, no matter how badly I want to, and every day is a constant reminder of my epic failure.

Especially her.

It’s as if Demi has been put on this earth to punish me. To inflict more torture and pain. Because every second I’m around her, she makes me feel things I don’t want to feel.

So, I lash out. Doing my best to push her away.

Until I realize she’s everything I never knew I needed, and the fight becomes a new battle—one to win her heart.

Releasing in the Bully Me: Class of 2020 anthology on March 24, 2020. Thereafter, it will be released as a separate title in the Rydeville Elite series on May 4, 2020. 60k word short novel with no cliffy and a HEA.

FIVE REDEMPTION STARS for Demi and Charlie ❤🖤❤🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Siobhan did it again!

Her new story totally melted my heart and I fell in love with a character that I thought I never will.

"Charlie" is a dark bully romance book with enemies to lovers trope.

Honestly, I didn't like Charlie in previous books because he did some pretty bad things that made me wonder how someone could be that heartless.

But, in this book he changed.

He changed a lot thanks to Demi who came into his life like a hurricane and made him think about things he has done and start to change.

Making things right and getting his redemption to be worth her love and her time.

I truly love Demi.

She is a strong female character who gave up her college and the future to help her sick dad.

Demi and Charlie's relationship started wrong but ended up as true love.

Their chemistry is pure fire and the connection they have is everything.

If you've read the previous books from the "Rydeville Elite" series, you should definitely give a chance to Demi and Charlie's love story!

You won't regret!

P.S. Can't wait for Vanessa and Jackson's book 😍❤🔥!!! My book boyfriend is coming very soon!

Charlie is the fourth book in Rydeville Elite series and is followed by a trilogy.
I was literally squirming in my seat, counting down the seconds for the review copy to drop in my Kindle. I was so excited and rightfully so, because I enjoyed the hell outta this!

Charles Barron Jr., aka, Charlie was one of the side characters in the previous books.
At the end of Sweet Retribution, I was left heartbroken for him.
Due to his past mistakes, he ended up losing everything - his family, his friends, his love. Beating himself over the guilt of the role he played in his father's demise, Charlie had effectively secluded himself.

The story starts the night of Charlie and Abby's wedding. The woman he had sex with his wedding night is finally revealed and it is none other than his PA, Demi.

Demitria Alexander, aka, Demi is the daughter of a former employee of Barron Banks who was more or less kicked out of his job by Charlie's dad, due to a critical medical condition the former had acquired.
Struggling to take care of her ailing father, paying off her student loans, mortgage and medical bills, Demi has no time for relationships much less the complications that comes with sleeping with her boss on his wedding night.

When Charlie is hell bent on bullying her, it is easy to ignore the attraction between them, but is she strong enough not to fall for his charms?

The dynamics of Charlie and Demi's relationship was portrayed marvellously in the first half of the book. I loved the way Charlie bullied Demi. Siobhan has indeed woven her magic and her writing skills are impeccable. The level of angst and smut are well balanced and with perfect timing.

But in the second half of the book, the story gets more narrative. I mean, there were scenes which I'd have liked to be read rather than informed of later. Also, we weren't given much details of Elite business and since it was such a major part of the first three books, I was looking forward to get more information about it. The ending was a bit rushed, but the epilogue made up for that.

I enjoyed reading this book very much and am desperately waiting for news on Drew's book.

Charlie was exactly what we've come to expect from Siobhan Davis. It was sexy, addicting and full of the delicious mean boys that we love. Charlie and Demi were fantastic and their story full of surprises. I loved this office/bully romance addition to the Rydeville Elite series.

Charlie was sexy, emotional and had hidden facets that I enjoyed. There was more to the man than the hard exterior he showed Demi and I enjoyed every minute. I loved how vulnerable he was and seeing the familiar Rydeville Elite faces. This was a fantastic read! 4 stars! ~Ratula

Yes! OMG! Yes! Nothing and I mean nothing excites me like a good “redemption story.” I’m talking to take the absolute most (or one of the most) unredeemable characters from one of your favorite books, or trilogies in this case, and redeem him. Transformation done. ✅ Siobhan Davis turned him around, upside down, inside out and showed us that “hold the phone ladies and gentlemen” he in fact has a heart ♥️ and it can turn ooey gooey after all!

Charlie, oh Charlie! I had so many questions about you. So many theories after Sweet Retribution running amok in this brain of mine. I love that many of my questions were answered. I love even more that I now have more questions and theories about other characters. BTW...We will have their answers coming our way.

Charlie is most definitely one of those characters that your heart probably didn’t see coming. The Charlie you meet on page one, is not the Charlie that you will be left with at the end of the book. The growth that this character goes through is tremendous. My guess is he needed this amazing woman to bring him to his knees.
I think in his quest to try to break her, he broke himself, in the best way, only to build himself back stronger and better than ever. What I love about Siobhan Davis is she can take thes characters that you think are just deplorable and make you fall head over heels, unequivocally In love. Yes, I LOVE CHARLIE BARRON! ♥️🥰♥️

Demi is a fantastic character. Now my heart was devastated many times over for this girl. But I’m pretty obsessed with her. She was strong and brave and beautiful. With everything she had gone through and was going through, her strength was inspiring. With Charlie she gave as good as she got. He was irresistible, yes, rude, absolutely, but she was not a doormat. I loved that about her character. Their banter was fiery and explosive. There were most definitely times where you thought they could go straight from fighting to… oh you know! 😏🤭

Charlie was another phenomenal addition to the Rydeville Elite Series. I cannot wait for more. Siobhan never fails to captivate me from the first page. She had me hanging on every word, from start to finish. I’ve learned not to try to predict what will happen next in her books, because she’s the queen of giving you something unexpected. I love that! She plants little seeds, so you can get your theories a spinnin’! Well, I for one was born ready for this series and I’m SO Ready for more! My seeds are ready to start sprouting Siobhan, so bring on Jackson!

I understand this is a novella and maybe that’s why it glossed over a lot but after the heinous things Abby and her peers SUFFERED at the hands of her father and other sick disgusting people this instalment was way too nonchalant and dismissive.

Abby is completely fine?! Living and loving life.

Demi takes everything in her stride. Oh you were raped when you were thirteen? Okay. You had a sexual mentor at 12? Okay. Oh you killed someone at 14? Okay. BDSM? Sure thing.

Seriously?! What weed is she smoking because I want some.

Add to the fact that Demi’s physical similarities to Abby irk me, of course they’re related and no one cares. It just felt like a really pointless plot point. Also I think if I was sleeping with someone who at least believed they were married I would have a seriously problem with it, but this gets glossed over as well. Charlie conveniently says that he was never actually in love with Abby he was just platonically in love with her - erm that didn’t convince me especially when you’re dating the carbon copy of her mate. But does Demi care? No! Why not? Because she’s not a real human being, she just can’t be.

Nothing in this book is convincing, the drama the angst the weird historical situations between parents feels forced and again POINTLESS. It feels like Siobhan herself doesn’t care about these characters and this story was written as an afterthought. Charlie’s scene where he dumps her to “protect her from the evils of the world” was the most empty unconvincing scene I’ve ever read, there was no feeling. I’m skipping straight to Jackson and honestly I’m not sure what to expect will it be more like this or more like the first three books that completely decimated me and left me crying ugly tears in my pillow.

“I’ve never wanted to be anyone’s Prince Charming before, but I want to be yours,”

Siobhan Davis has just delivered another 5 star read.

Charlie had me hooked. I wasn’t sure what I was going to think about this book because I hated him in the Rydeville High series. I knew that she was going to have to redeem him massively in my eyes and she did. She broke Charlie and made him the hero I needed him to be and now I can say that I love him so much.

This was a surprisingly emotional read and I loved Demi and Charlie’s love story.

I only picked this book because of Author Siobhan Davis. I have only read Rydeville series and Resurrection of this author and I have been a great fan of her post that.

I might be in the minor category, but this book really didn’t live up to my standards (may be because I just had too high hopes). Book started out extremely well. The way Charlie was trying to own up to his mistakes and trying his best to not repeat it was good. Meeting up with Demi and there banter even after 9 months of infamous Christmas night, I totally enjoyed it.

Book Just took a 180 degree shift post that, they were threatening each other with harassment and ACLU case in the morning and end up with dinner date in the evening. I just couldn’t take it. The character development what I saw in her other books were just missing. Even in the end, the separation wasn’t justified at all. I read, but actually didn’t feel Charlie’s fear for Demi at all.

Some twists were definitely unexpected which I enjoyed. Meeting the entire Rydeville crew again was the highlight of this book. One dialogue made me looking for Jackson’s book.

“William Hamilton – And this guy makes Michael Hearst look like the fairy fucking godmother”
“Round two is due to begin and we need to get battle ready”

Hope round 2 is as good as round one.

*** 2 STARS ***

Charlie was an ok read, nice to continue learning more about the characters in the previous books and what they are up to, but the romance felt very undeveloped and lots of telling rather than showing.

I don't usually like when, in a story with an enemies-to-lovers trope, it goes from I hate you to I love you in one night without any development and everyone is ok with it...and unfortunately, this book suffers from this. Some of the events that should have been shown in the book are just mentioned quickly once they have happened, which gives you the feeling that the story lacks any depth and that it could have been so much better. One of the other things I didn't like was that the epilogue includes a specific mention of a HEA for a book that is coming next in the series which makes me feel less motivated towards reading it.

My favourite part of the book was Demi's relationship with her father but I would have happily sacrificed that whole part if those pages were dedicated to the main relationship.

I read this book so fast as I couldn't get enough of this story and all these characters it really does have it all and holds your attention to the very end. This is the #4 book in the series Rydeville Elite and I was so glad that Charlie got his own book. This is a dark bully romance book that you will love.

Charlie has had things is tough and after everything he has totally locked his heart away for goo or so it seems. After his father died he is taking over the business slowly;y while still attending to his studies but he is by himself after his mum and sister left and his friends have all gone too. Demi is a beautiful strong independent woman that is doing everything she can to help her fathers who is ill. When she starts working with Charlie they don't get of to a very good start and he wants to do everything he can to make her leave.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved how this authors has written the characters and the fact that all the other characters form the previous books make a small appearance too. The chemistry between Demi and Charlie is of the charts and once Demi tries to break into his heart every thing changes for the both of them. Charlie has a hard outer shell and Demi is sweet but can she really get through to him? This story flows all the way through and I was gripped right until the very end. I really like the way that this author writes and really enjoy the worlds that she creates. This book will have your emotions in a vice and once you start reading about there love story you wont be able to stop. I recommend reading the other books in the series so you can truly see all what Charlie has had to go though and I can not wait to get straight in to the next book in Rydeville Elite.

Siobhan Davis knows how to get to the heart of romance, life and a gritty reality that proves that you never know who you were meant to love. CHARLIE reveals that no matter how well you think you know a person, there is more to their story than meets the eye and that an author with Ms. Davis’s talents can make us love someone we saw as part of the evil that saturates this series.

Dark, edgy, sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes infuriating, once again, just when you think you know a character, the pages unveil that you barely knew them at all, just as Demi learned.

Another sizzling read from an author that never fails to ride the edge or surprise her readers with her adept handling of twists!

I received a complimentary copy from Siobhan Davis! This is my honest and voluntary review.

This one wasn't nearly as good as the first couple, and the whole doppelganger thing with the first heroine creeped me out in the wrong way!
It's like Charlie got himself a second hand Abby as his redemption hea.

I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to read an ARC of this book and OMG, Siobhan Davis does it again - I absolutely floved this book!

Charlie was one of the ‘Elite’ from the Rydeville Elite series and this is his story - this book picks up from the night his father was murdered.

I’m not afraid to say that Charlie was a character that I HATED and I don’t use that term loosely, in my opinion he was despicable and unredeemable, so I was intrigued how Siobhan was going to play this story and boy was I NOT disappointed!

Charlie meets Demi in a bad situation, but their chemistry is off the charts and Demi... she is one h€ll of a strong woman that gives back as hard as it’s thrown at her.

It wouldn’t be a true Siobhan Davis book without a few unexpected twists here and there and definitely keeps you on your toes can’t wait for what comes next in this series!

Charlie is the fourth book in the Rydeville Elite series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. There are characters from the previous books mentioned (first three books must be read in order), but Siobhan blends them in well and keep readers up to speed on how they are interwoven without taking away from the main story. Siobhan does try to surmise what happened previously to new readers, but it is really difficult to explain every detail. But I feel new readers will get a good enough idea as to what happened and if anything, it just entices them to read those books.

I did read the previous three books in this series and where I really enjoyed the first two books, the third one I felt was reaching a bit. However, I did not let that stop me from continuing in the series and I am so grateful for that. Charlie is completely different from the first three books and that's how it should be as this book fits Charlie and his character so well.

Demi is whole new character brought into this series, which I feel was the perfect way to make this book a full standalone within the series. I love her spitfire attitude and that she never backs done from Charlie. She does come across as this demure, lithe little women, but she is far from it.

Charlie is taken back by Demi. She is not what he expects and that has thrown Charlie completely off his course. Their banter is interesting and at times, very entertaining.

There were a few parts near the end that I felt weren't needed and were just there for added drama. It felt slightly out of character and while I understand that author may have wanted to keep things entertaining, I felt something else could have happened instead.

Overall, it's a really good read. It is the shortest book in the series but still delivers a great story.

Charlie, book four in Siobhan Davis' Rydeville Elite series, will keep readers on the edge and undecided until its conclusion!

Charlie existed in that in between space not entirely good, not entirely bad and Siobhan Davis managed to find just the right mix to make him incredibly appealing despite his ambiguity. With a past filled with actions so egregious they seemed impossible to come back from and continued questionable behavior Charlie struggled to regain his place as a person to respect and of value. Demi showed strength in all that she did but Ms. Davis did a great job of offsetting her strength with vulnerability. This couple's love hate relationship was complex and came with lots of personal baggage making for an interesting dynamic with extreme fluctuations and no shortage of steam. As is the norm with this writer some great discoveries pushed this story and kept the suspense going at a steady pace.

Siobhan Davis is a writer whose name has become interchangeable with unexpected but credible plot twist. Her imaginings are wide sweeping and boundless making her stories not only uninhibited but one of a kind fantastic experiences. With great writing and gripping portrayals that will have readers speculating throughout this work, Charlie adds another Rydeville Elite installment that will keep readers addicted to this series!

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. *
*While this work can be read as a stand alone, for an enhanced overall reading experience reading the previous books in the Rydeville High Elite Series is suggested*

5 Bully Novella Stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Originally published in the Bully Me Anthropology.

Siobhan Davis has created a world where the men have been trained to be dominate in every aspect of their lives. To never take no for an answer and ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

And the main Characters of Charlie are no different.

Charlie made some bad decisions in Abby and Kadens trilogy that sped up deadlines and caused some unimaginable destruction.

Back then Charlie was confused, lost and believed he was doing the right thing. I wanted to hate him for the devastation he created, though not all of it was his fault, but when Parkhurst went up in flames, Charlie proved that maybe he deserved redemption after all.

And this is his story. Well his and Demi's...

What I liked most about this was how much time had passed from previous events. Charlie regretted every decision he made and while he missed his friends he needed time to heal without them. Though Abby wasn't about to give him much. I really like Demi's interaction's with Abby, it went a long way to softening her character and opening her up to the possibility that Charlie wasn't so bad after all.

Siobhan brought back glimpses of our favourite Ryderville Elite and set the stage for what's to come.

Charlie is an enemies to lovers, office romance that held my interest from start to finish. The story had it all, complex characters, drama, steam, twists and turns and it gave you all the feels. Charlie and Demi had undeniable chemistry and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed. This story was emotional and will cause you to shed a tear or two. I loved it and would recommend it to romance lovers.
The audiobook was narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher. These two were excellent choices for this narration. Their voices blended well together and they brought the story to life infusing the right emotions in their characters. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Charlie was one of those characters that, in the first three books, kind of went back and forth in my opinions of him. The first half of this book had me still on the fence, but it's surprising what finding the right girl can do for a guy... and vise versa. I honestly believe that finding the person who is the right match for you can turn you into the best version of yourself and that's what this story truly showed for Charlie.

I like the way that Charlie's character shows such growth throughout the book as he realizes what makes him happy and how he wants to live the rest of his life. I also like that he feels so compelled to make things right if he even feels the slightest bit responsible.

The other characters do make appearances in this book, though Charlie is obviously the main character. There is a definite set up for further books within this world, but not quite the cliffhanger that most of these books end on. I'm waiting as patiently as I can for the rest of the series.

Im soooo excited that Charlie got his own book! Since I’ve been reading ALL that Siobhan has to offer, there was no way I was passing on this.

I’m not even sure that I trusted Charlie in the Rydeville series. I wanted to so badly. But At the end Of that series I really just pitied him. And when this book picks up, I just wanted to put his head through a wall.

Talk about a bully?! I’m not surprised Demi hated his guts with the way he treats her. I truly believe that Charlie is a product of his environment. The elite pretty much destroys lives.

Demi is such a strong woman. She’s literally given up everything for her family. I absolutely loved her. She brought so much life to the story.

And having the Elite all back.... completely brought the story together characters back.

Demi and Charlie have a life filled with drama, and passion and honestly, a lot of sadness. Sooo much chemistry. Of course that’s Siobhan’s speciality.
She’s a rockstar, this book blew me away!!!! I want more!

I love this series!! Siobhan Davis is such a great author, I swear I do not know how she can write all these different characters and stories that are just simply amazing. I do not think that I have read anything of hers that I have not liked or loved. In Charlie for example, how can you take someone that you do no like, and completely redeem him, make you love him. Show us that yes he does in deed have a heart, and can love.

So in Charlie, we get to finally see what he is all about. So much gets answered here on him. Whatever theories you have on him, you will get to see if they were true or close. Yeah he crept on me.

If you love a good complete turn around in a character, lots of growth and a woman who will bring him to his knees. This is the story for you.

This is a stand a lone but i do recommend reading the series in order to fully understand this story.

This was a great addition to the Rydeville Elite series. I went back and forth on how I felt about Charlie in the earlier books, so it was great to get to know him better in this. I feel like I have a better understanding of the reasons behind his past actions. I really loved Demi. She was amazing, and I seriously needed Charlie to prove he was good enough for her and could treat her right. And he fell short a lot. I just wanted to shake some sense into him, but Demi had it handled. It was so much fun having Abby and the other characters return and see where they are at now. This was an emotional roller coaster, and the ending was everything.

Surprised Me How Much I Loved This

Honestly....I hated Charlie soooo much by the end of Abby and Kai’s trilogy that I really didn’t feel like reading this book at all and it was my strong love for the series that made me read it. I was really surprised that I ended up liking Charlie and much like Abby, I forgave him for all of his nonsense he pulled. I loved that we got to see what exactly happened on Abby and Charlie’s wedding night. It was really nice the twists that happened and I loved Demi! The end made me tear up for many reasons and I seriously cannot put in words my absolute shock and love for the epilogues!! I couldn’t have asked for more or better! Now onto Jackson’s book!

Siobhan continues to impress me with each story she writes. She takes characters and just breathes life into them, making them all so unique.

I was graciously given the opportunity to read Charlie’s story.

Charlie quickly became a character all us Siobhan fans loved to hate. His antics in the Rydeville Elite made him an enemy but deep down all us fans knew surely he was redeemable...

And he was!!

This story was perfect!

Both Charlie and Demi are vulnerable individuals. Charlie is fighting inner demons and the guilt of his father’s death and Demi is grappling with impending loss of someone she loves. Together they heal one another.

The chemistry between Charlie and Demi is explosive!! I mean legit hot!!!

Demi was a strong female character and I loved that she gave back to what Charlie threw out at her.

This book did have quite a twist!! I never saw it coming.

This is another amazing story by Siobhan! Can’t wait for the next book!!

4.5 stars.

Okay so I really loved the story line, and the dynamic. The push and pull and the way they met had me hooked! My only issue is I wished it wasn’t a novella. I felt like there was a moment where it went from zero to 60 in no time. The characters were great, I just wished she added more chapter in when she add the extended epilogue.

That being said it’s still a high rating, I couldn’t put it down. And it was a nice way to ease into the world for me. Since I am not quite ready for the darkness of the first 3.

Charlie has lost everything and on the night his father dies he just wants to pretend life is different. But the woman he asks to help him pretend with doesn't take it well when she realizes what he's done and what (whom) he was thinking about while he was with her. So Demi with her proud self takes off and kindly requests he leave her alone.

Hard to do when he is her new boss and he's determined to be as massive an asshole as possible to her. But Demi doesn't take his shit lying down *wink wink* and dishes it right back. But somehow the two keep falling into each other's beds until lines aren't just crossed, they're obliterated. Will he break her heart again or will he take his head out of his ass and be the good guy he is deep down somewhere he doesn't let people see?

As usual with Siobhan Davis' writing, the story here is riveting. Not many can write enemies to lovers/bully romances that are bullying and mean without going over the top, but she pulls it off. Charlie was certainly a bully, the two were so antagonistic, but it was also obvious it was all just hiding chemistry and feelings, and I love how Demi gave as good as she got and didn't take Charlie's bullshit without dishing her own in return. I may have wished she didn't give in so quickly near the end, though, and it's the only reason for 4 rather than the 5 stars the first 3/4 deserve. But all in all, I loved this extension of the Rydeville Elite series. Can't wait for Jackson next!
