He hasn’t encountered a woman in nearly a year, and now we’re trapped together in the middle of nowhere…
When the hot, rugged man who rescues me from a blizzard turns out to be a famous author, things heat up in the cabin where we’re trapped.
At first, Jackson’s not thrilled by my presence while he battles writer’s block, but I make it my mission to win him over. I cook him special meals, tease him out of bad moods, and even convince him to let me cut his hair—the results of which can best be described as hot damn.
Our passion ignites as the snow falls outside, but I don’t know what will be left once the storm’s passed. Could the feelings between us possibly turn into something that lasts?
Don't miss this steamy story with no cheating and a very happy ending. It can be read as a standalone or after Stranded with the Billionaire & Stranded with the Ex-Boyfriend.
Sophie enjoys reading, writing, seeking, and dreaming about romance! She feels most likely to experience the romantic side of life while traveling to new cities, hiking through the mountains, or making new friends.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this sweet little novella! I am a perpetual offender of judging a book by its cover, and with the Derek Hough lookalike staring into my soul I was expecting a lot of cringe, but this story was actually so refreshingly well written and enjoyable. My one complaint is that this was an extremeeeely slow burn for a novella, and once they finally got together, things started happening so quickly that it felt very rushed, and the ending seemed so abrupt to me. All in all, I think this book is criminally underrated with only 100 something ratings, so if you're into the "trapped in a remote cabin with a stranger who rescues you during a blizzard" trope, you should definitely read this.
This isn’t a bad read at all, gotta be honest I’d would list list as a Palate Cleanser between heavy reads. Very easy plot and easy to roughly figure out. I do feel like it kinda lagged in some areas though, and the connection between Piper & Jackson was ok, but I just couldn’t click with them.
Jackson rescues Piper during a snow storm and he isn’t happy she is in his cabin bothering him. Jackson is suffering from writer’s block with a deadline and Piper does her best to make him happy while stuck at his cabin. What will happen when sparks begin to fly between them. Fast-paced steamy chemistry and very sweet. I liked it.
"It’s not so I could continue to get my hair cut by a very talented guinea pig groomer.”
The third book, of the Snowbound Billionaires series by Sophie Brooks is, "Stranded With The Stranger." Just like the name indicates, Piper gets stranded in a remote cabin, with a gruff, handsome stranger, during a blizzard. Frankly, I wanted to get mad at this book, from the onset, when I see our heroine headed out into the "snowstorm of the century," looking for Grandma's beloved dog, Lucky. Sending your grandchild out into a blizzard for ANY reason, should be a severe violation of the Grandmother Credo. We weren't allowed out of the house, when it was RAINING. I'm surprised her grandmother privileges weren't revoked! Anyway, Piper is sent out in search of Grandma's dog, during a terrible snowstorm, when she doesn't return after staying out all night, looking for this dog, her friends send someone out to look for her. Enter Jackson. At least he appears to have a lick of common sense. Piper's choices at this point were a car, that she was unable to drive, because of zero visibility, or her grandmother's cabin, with a huge hole in the roof. She COULD rely on the stranger, her friends had sent out to find her. As it turns out, he's staying in a nice, warm, safe, modern cabin, a snowmobile's drive, away. This remote cabin turns out to be a pretty nice place, so Piper will be warm and comfortable as one winter storm after another lines up to traps these two strangers. Unbeknownst to Piper, Jackson is an author, with a tight deadline, terrible writer's block, and he really can't abide any distractions, at this point. He wants to keep that he's a famous writer, a secret from Piper. So begins a nice, slow, seduction and the start of an exciting romance. As it turns out, I enjoyed reading about these characters, and their slow-burning romance. You can expect minimal drama, angst, a few surprises, seduction and romance. An enticing read. I received this book as an ARC from the author, and I volunteered this review.
I love a mysterious hermit hero, lumberjack or not!😋
4.5🌟stars So many great elements to this stranded-in-a-blizzard story, not least of which is the bearded, gruff mystery man who rescues wary heroine Piper from exposure as she flails around in a frigid North Woods 🎑blizzard.
Inclusion of a cute pet subplot and the hero's efforts to keep his profession under wraps, plus an upbeat, altruistic young woman devoted to her gran's comfort, safety and happiness: all great pieces to a fun romance. Piper is not a whiner when things don't go her way; she rolls up her sleeves and gets 🍲cooking instead! For me, the steamy bits were a bit much, but that's just a matter of my preference, not a fault of the author's. Other than that, the story was all good and easy to read. It made me regret that spring's crept in and I did not have a snowy winter day to pull up the covers and get busy reading!
I've enjoyed all three books in this Sophie Brooks series. If there are more to come, count me in.😊
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I picked this up on a whim when I was feeling a little uninspired reading-wise and fell in love with this author's writing! The isolated-in-a-cabin/forced proximity trope is always a favourite of mine and it felt very appropriate given the time we're living in right now.
Although this book was definitely a little trope-y and not exactly unpredictable, I had to rate it 5 stars based on my enjoyment - there was nothing I didn't like about this book. The tension and chemistry between Jackson and Piper was incredible and there were a lot of sweet moments between them as well as just a hint of angst. This is a pretty short read (around 200 pages) and while it was fast paced, it didn't feel rushed at all and the romance took a while to develop, which is always my preference over insta-love.
This is the third book in the series and I chose to read this one because the plot appealed to me the most of the three. You can definitely read this as a standalone as I believe the plots of each book take place roughly at the same time, but I enjoyed this so much that I'm definitely going back to read the first two! I may have found a new go-t0 author!
Stranger danger applies to your heart. It starts out differently than the first two books (by the way make sure to read them first and in order or you'll get confused). This one is a more laid back into the characters thoughts, ideas, feelings. Each have things they feel they need to do first before they can entertain any thought to they personally want to do. Their problem lies not with the attraction they feel for the other but with thinking they have other responsibilities that would keep them apart. By the time they finally come to their senses and try out that chemistry it's almost too late. They get ripped away from each other and they problems that threaten to keep them apart almost seem unsurmountable. What I like best about this book and the other two is no matter what my day was like I still wanted to take a few minutes to hours to have quite time relaxing with these characters. Way better than a "calgon (sp) take me away" moment.
I really loved reading Stranded with a Stranger. Piper and Jackson have such chemistry, but not at first. Piper is looking for her grandmother's dog named Lucky in the middle of a terrible snow storm. Jackson is called on to look for her by her friends. He is a lumberjack/author who for the past year been used to being by himself trying to write up his next novel. He is so not looking forward to entertaining Piper at all. Piper is utterly bored and wants to continue to look for Lucky, and eventually they both set out to look for her and they find a surprise. The story goes on and and it definitely has some funny parts and towards the end, some very steamy parts. I liked Piper and Jackson and I hoped they would get together. I also liked the cover of the book. I pictured that this is what Jackson looked like. I would recommend reading this book. It has great characters and it has a HEA.

Another fun, easy read from Sophie Brooks! Piper, the h, came across to me as a little simple but very sweet and kind-hearted. Jackson, the H, is it good guy with a gruff exterior, deep into a year of self- imposed isolation that he began in an attempt to break through writer’s block. Two strangers brought together by a snowstorm and ‘friend of a friend’ connection. He saves her from the storm, she saves him from his writer’s block, and in the end, they save one another from a life without love. Plus, puppies!
Very nice addition to this series! I would have liked it to be a bit longer, with more of the growing relationship between the 2 main characters. Excellent conversation between the Piper and Jackson. And I'm wondering if I can find a groomer for my Guinea pig? (I received an ARC of this story in exchange for sharing my unbiased opinion).
I really loved reading this book about a chance meeting between two complete opposite strangers who are stranded in snowstorm. Forcing people together during natural unforeseen circumstances gives a lot to the drama/plot. Piper is more the extrovert and Jackson is definitely not a people person. They start off rocky but Piper wears grumpy Jackson down with her bubbly personality. I loved the build up of their already budding attraction. The author did a great job letting the couple get to know one another and let love develop. It was more realistic to me.Piper and Jackson banter had me laughing and grinning. Love how the book ended with declarations of love and a great future together. t was a very entertaining read and I highly recommend.

Stranded with the Stranger is the third book in the Snowbound Billionaires series by Sophie Brooks. This is a sweet, charming and light story which is a wonderful entertaining way to forget about everything. The story is about Piper and Jackson. I found the story to be nicely plotted and the characters were well developed. You definitely fall in love with Piper as she is the type of friend you always need in your life, the glass is half full and lift you up type. A few times I wanted to smack Jackson upside the head as he was not really nice to her when they first meet. But soon his mood changes and his manners....and then there sizzle starts to pop and crackle between them.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Finally this book is here! It's such a perfect ending to this series. I loved all three books, but I can't deny that this one is my favourite. I think the books are best to be read in order, but they can be good standalone stories too. The plot is enjoyable, often funny with enough steamy stuff to keep you on your toes. The ending was so sweet it melted my heart a bit. I liked the characters, Piper and Jackson fit perfectly together. Their witty banters made me laugh out loud a few times, I really enjoyed reading them. I definitely recommend this book and this author to anyone who likes funny and steamy romances. Oh, and I can't wait for the bonus epilogue for the series, which will come out later...
Jackson is a grouchy man with writer’s block who is fast approaching a deadline. The famous author has isolated himself to complete his writing, but it just isn’t working. Piper is caught in a bad snowstorm and Jackson rescues her. He doesn’t want company or changes in his routine, but Piper does everything she can to lift his spirits! It’s difficult to stay grumpy with a caring person trying to make things better. Will Jackson get his creative spark back? Will a relationship begin to build between Piper and Jackson as his walls come down and they discover the good qualities in each other?
This was a good story that is comfortable to read. The story line moved along well and the characters became more likable as the story unfolded. Grab your copy and share their adventure.
If you're looking for a fun and sweet read, then this is the perfect book to pick up. This is the third book in the Snowbound series. I have not read the first two, but I had no trouble following the story. Jackson and Piper don't get along at first and it's fun to see how their relationship develops and evolves. Ms. Brooks is a new to me author and after reading this book, I now have a new author to follow! There are some steamy scenes, but overall this is really a beautiful story full of romance, wit, and laughs. You will not want to put it down till you have read the last page. I am looking forward to reading more of her books!

Another victim of the snowstorm finds support protection, and love! Jackson needed solitude, but was willing to go above and beyond to rescue a friend of a friend! Selfless!!! At first. I was sorry for Jackson, because Piper was a pia, but she grew on me. I liked that Jackson overcame his writing block by going out of his comfort zone for Piper's sake! In typical Sophie Brooks', style the hero puts himself out above and beyond for the heroine AND her loved ones. Is there another more perfect man ( except Prince Charming, because he was a superstar), I don't think so!! Great job. Kudos. Get lost in a true romance like I did!
I received a free copy of this as an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This is my favourite of this series. You don’t have to read in order but the other characters are mentioned throughout book. Jackson is asked by his friend Liam to find piper after she goes missing I’m a snow storm near the cabin where he is staying , they don’t get off to the best start as he was a man of few words but piper breaks down the barriers and sees the true Jackson and the sparks start to fly. I loved the balance of steamy stuff and laugh out loud moments. They are such a sweet couple and the ending was just perfect.
Rescuing her grandmother, then being rescued herself wasn't on the cards for Piper, especially a guarded man who clearly wants to be alone. Jackson has been holed up in his friends cabin & the last thing he needs is an attractive distraction & house full of dogs. The banter between these two was initially snarky but as time progressed & his walls came down Jackson became more human. There was a great build up with their relationship & good chemistry. Overall I enjoyed this tale if you like slow burn romances.

Piper is sent by her grandmother to look for her dog during a heavy snow storm.. When Piper does not return at night, she alerts a friend, who asks another friend to go look for her the next morning. Jackson, who was asked to help, lives nearby and is a popular writer. Unhappily, he brings Piper to his home and wants to keep his distance. But Piper is intriguing him and with a writer's block, there is not that much to do.... A lovely story about two strangers coming together and helping each other, little by little getting closer. Well-written and entertaining. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story was a feel good romance. There was action and adventure and even some puppies! The main female character was a committed, loyal and loving woman. She was fierce in her determination. It was her light that shone within that helped the main male character mature a bit more. Another delightful novel in this series by Ms. Brooks. This is the third book in this series.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author via ProlificWorks and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to the author nor to ProlificWorks.
Oh steamy fake lumberjack. Where can I find one and how do I get to keep him? This book was too cute. I’ve only read a couple books by Sophie Brooks, but they always leave me smiling. Romance with some steam, yes please. Jackson and Piper were so good together. Dancing around trying to get to know one another and dang, the chemistry. I won’t be posting spoilers, but I really need my husband to take some lessons from Jackson in the romance department, lol.
I did receive an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A delightful 5-star read First of all, this book was so enjoyable that I’m getting ready the read the first two books in the series. The characters were so real that I found myself completely absorbed in their situation. I’m still not sure what it was about the book that I was so absorbed in it, but whatever it was I WANT MORE! It goes without saying that the characters, story, and writing were terrific. Have already KUed the first book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Customer Review Kindle Customer Linda 4.0 out of 5 stars Cute story Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2020 Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase I liked Piper. She is a loving loyal sweetheart, unlike the arrogant dark Jackson. Piper works for a Chicago soup kitchen and is open & loving. She's been caught in a terrible snowstorm and Jackson has been sent by her friends to rescue her. Jackson is a famous writer suffering from writers' block and a deadline fast approaching. Jackson is not pleasant until Piper grows on him. Lovely ending. Linda Edit
At first this began as a very unexpected low key romance. Boy was I wrong, this was witty, with charming characters that had a way with words. Rather enjoyable friendship between Jackson and Piper, then things really start to heat up with bedtime stories, which add the steam to the isolation of being out in the woods in a cabin. Wonderful in how Piper taught Jackson the difference between lust and love, and he took it true to heart.

Piper is stuck in the snow trying to find her grandmother's dog, Lucky. She had taken her grandmother from her home which had a tree through the roof in a terrible blizzard. When the grandmother begged Piper to go back for Lucky, she had no choice. Out of the blizzard appears a very large man with a very messy beard and driving a snowmobile. Wow. What a terrfic story A blizzard. A missing dog. A handsome lumberjack. Or is he? What secrets does Jackson hide in his room at the cabin he takes Piper to?
This is book three in the Snowbound Billionaires series. This is Piper and Jackson's story which all starts with snow storm. These two strangers are stuck together in a cabin waiting for the snow to quite so they they can go about their own way. As the snow falls, so do the characters boundaries as they begin to learn about one another. A fun, well written story that is sure to provide an entertaining read. Enjoy!

I am sure this is a good book to read. It was well edited. The storyline a tad silly and Piper was young and immature. My problem with the book is: 1. The author kept repeating herself. Yes there was a snowstorm. Yes the dog was missing. Yes it was out in a rural area. Yes she was unprepared for the weather. We know that. It was repeated and drilled into our heads. 2. The words themselves. Adults are reading this book not elementary school students.
I read the book. It makes a nice 'beach' read as the cold weather will keep you cool.
Loved this storyline. Piper went to the mountain to help her grandmother. She ends up meeting Jackson. Tall, dark, mysterious. With a long beard and long hair to go with a hermit attitude. Slowly Piper works him out of his shell and she learns he's a famous writer. Just as they're getting close, grandma comes to rescue her. Now apart, she doubts Jacksons feelings for her. Can they come together...forever?
What a great ending this trilogy of books! I loved reading about Jackson and Piper. Jackson was so stand-offish in the beginning and wanted nothing really to do with Piper. He was so arrogant about not wanting her to find out who he was. Piper was the complete opposite of him and had no clue or even care later about who he was. She cared about him and the time they spent with each other. The snowstorm gave them a chance to find the people they were meant to be with to find their true paths.
I have to admit... if some big, hairy, mysterious guy who looks like a mountain man called my name and appeared out of the snow I would probably run as fast and as far as I could to get away. But Piper is a little more bold than me. And Jackson's most endearing quality (minor spoiler) - the rescue of a missing dog and her 6 puppies by going underneath a partially destroyed cabin in the woods. A more light-hearted and easy read.
