It’s autumn in New England and a chill isn’t the only thing in the air…
Second grade teacher Ginger Crane loves all things fall. As a lifelong New Hampshire resident and proud Halloween connoisseur, she throws herself into the season pointy witch hat first. After meeting southern boy, Caden, and learning he doesn’t feel the same way about the turning of the leaves, she comes up with the perfect plan: Ginger will take Caden on a month’s worth of autumn-themed dates sure to make him fall in love with the greatest of the seasons.
Caden Samson has never given much thought to September and October, but when a beautiful woman offers to turn his heart towards sweaters and wool socks, he can’t refuse. Can Ginger use corn mazes, pumpkin picking, apple pies, and cozy evenings to convert Caden? Will he fall in love with more than autumn?
Cozy up with this spicy, feel-good Halloween romance! Warning: may cause pastry cravings!
As you can see by my picture, my identity is a bit of a secret. But it's only because I'm not sure I could handle another mom coming up to me and saying she enjoyed one of my books in the pick up line ;) I'm a Midwest raised girl, and after a brief stint on the East Coast, made my way back here. I adore my four little kiddies (born within four and half years of each other!) and my husband is pretty nice, too. I love happy endings that follow steamy starts.
Other than writing, I love to bake, garden, knit, load up the triple stroller and go for a long walk, and read.

Second Grade Teacher Ginger meets Caden while at a teacher's fair. They hit it off and finally meet up again at the farmer's market! This is soooo cute with fall and Halloween activities you just can't help but love it. Ginger gives Caden the New England fall show. This is such a cute, sweet, fun fall, steamy, HEA novella its a great read for a pick me up!
It's 2020 and it's fall, making this book the perfect comfort read. The characters were so cute and likable, and it made me want to go on my own Halloween tour of New England...or eat a lot of cozy food like pie, apple fritters, and chili. This is a super quick read and delivers in the romance. :)
Ok let me back up and explain - my "pays for my hobbies and bills" job is working with teachers and textbooks. In Sales. As of this moment (10-07-20) I spent the last 10 weeks in absolute chaotic heck due to the ever changing and halfbaked landscape of education as schools and teachers desperately try to find the magic bullet solution to the pandemic world if teaching this fall. (Literally that heck just ended yesterday for me)
This is AFTER 10 weeks following the COVID closures and remote learning of the end of last school year.
To say I'm definitely not mentally equipped to read a romance, which spends the first 5% discussing pregnancy (which is a no for me in romance most of the time) or curriculum needs, would be a severe understatement.
I was cringing away from my phone SO HARD I dropped it in my face.
So no this isn't the author's fault or the writing, its literally because the idea of reading more about a teacher is giving me minor anxiety.
I just thought that this was the cutest little romance! It made me long for autumn and hot cider and pumpkin bread. I want to go strolling through the colorful leaves hand in hand with my guy. Basically, what I’m saying is that this romance makes you all warm and fuzzy. Ginger and Caden meet at a teacher fair where he is showcasing a new app. She is a second grade teacher looking at new things for her classroom. After chatting, they both feel a strong attraction. When she learns Caden doesn’t care for Halloween, she makes a plan to show him how fun it is by being his tour guide since he is new to town. This is a really great story with characters that are so sweet. There are a couple of bumps in the road, but you do get a lovely ending. Ginger is a second grade teacher and she loves the season fall and everything about it she loves it so much that she decides to bring Caden is new I’m town and Ginger volunteers to show him around. And unlike Ginger Caden hates Halloween and he hates the fall season.
Ginger finding this out concocts a plan to help Caden fall in love with the season. But while doing this and spending so much time together they start to develop feelings and Caden wants to take it further and so does she this is a sweet romance that started out as a meeting of a new friend to a romance.
This is my very first time reading a holiday romance based on the season fall and Halloween.

What a great lil romance. I loved this story and the characters. This is the perfect read for the season. Caden and Ginger where such great characters and I couldn't help but to love them. Awesome way to spend a few hours. Made me anxious for Fall to get here.
Strong story line, awesome characters, fantastic detail descriptions. Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA.

Ginger is a relatable and cozy character. Caden is a sweet country boy. He’s new to town and she’s been alone for a long time (with the exception of a fling in a neighboring city). They first come together at a school function. They keep meeting at small town functions centered around the fall and Halloween. They keep coming together because it is a small town.
This is a young, simple, and sweet romance with a touch of spice at the end. It's a feel-good kind of story and a quick read. Four stars as there wasn't a lot to sink my teeth into to push it higher. Totally enjoyable though, and awwwww-inspiring.

Ginger is a second-grade teacher in New Hampshire, and she is in love with autumn. She meets Caden at a teacher fair. He's from North Carolina, and doesn't really care for fall. She decides to turn him into an autumn lover, via fall-themed dates/activities for the next month. This was a nice story, and a good way to spend an afternoon. The characters are sweet, but just a little bit naughty (steamy scenes), and there was a bit of drama from her former beau. It all worked out in the end. I'm looking forward to the next book from this author.

Solid 4.5 star You are sucked into this book as soon as you start, you will love the characters and not only be fully invested on both the mail characters Ginger and Caden but also Gingers friend Cece and her husband Kevin. The flow of the book is great, the story is sweet and enticing I just wished Gingers names wasn't used quiet as much, there are times it is used where we already know we are reading about Ginger specifically so it wasn't needed. This is the first book I have read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it so I can't wait to read more and hope they are as great as this one.

I really enjoyed reading Something Wicked by Lucy Hudson. This is a great cozy book to read in the Fall and really got me in the spirit! Ginger is a school teacher in New Hampshire who meets Caden at a teacher fair and then runs into him at the Fall Festival. Upon discovering Caden dislikes Halloween, Ginger vows to give him an October packed with fun Fall activities to change his mind on the Holiday. There’s a corn maze, pumpkin patch, apple fritters and cider, and more. This story is packed with all the spiced lovely things about Fall and Halloween! Happy Reading!
Lucy Hudson is a new author to me and Something Wicked is a nice holiday read. The storyline was engaging and kept my interest with the small town sweetness and thinking of autumn, sigh. Ginger and Caden are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nicely as they engaged in a chemistry that was a little spicy towards the end.

Part of the A Happy Holidays Romance series and this one deals with Halloween. Second grade teacher Ginger Crane loves all things fall but she meets Caden Samson who does not. So she proposes a month of showing what there is to love about Fall. I enjoyed reading about these two and watching how they fall in love. This could have been a sweet romance between a second grade school teacher, whose students think has married when the man she’s seeing kisses her and a southern educational software programmer, but there were plenty of unnecessary innuendos and some sexy scenes. Ginger loves Halloween and fall and spends October trying to win Caden over about it. He was funny with his winter coat in fall New Hampshire temperatures.
I've read several books written by Lucy Hudson; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

A sweet romance that will have you longing for everything autumn, cozy sweaters, apple picking, hot cider, falling leaves and caramel apples. Ginger loves everything that has to do with autumn and is determined to make Caden fall in love with everything autumn too but will Caden fall in love with autumn, Ginger or both? Great story line, wonderful characters that you're sure to fall in love with.

This is a sweet romance between Ginger and Caden who meet through a school activity and she takes it upon herself to show him how great the fall/halloween season can be. As she takes him on various activities they began to fall for each other. Cute story with great characters.

This is the story of Ginger and Caden. This is such a sweet romance and these characters are so loveable. Since Caden doesn’t like Halloween, Ginger is going to show him what he’s been missing. I can’t wait for fall to be here. Great story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An absolutely delightful holiday romance! I mean, it's got a guy who can't figure out how to assist a lady out of her corset! It's got sweater weather! It's got pumpkins! What else could you want in an autumn romance?
This book is sugary sweet and I've got no problem with that. Ginger is a second-grade teacher and Caden is an app developer, they meet at teachers fair and they feel an attraction to one another.

How can someone hate the best holiday of the year All Hallows Eve! Sadored the holiday. Now how is she going to change his mind. This story is the cutiest thing you'll read. The storyline and characters are just the cutest.
Very wholesome and candy-corn-sweet story of Ginger showing New England newcomer, Caden, how to properly appreciate the Halloween season with a bunch of autumn-themed dates.
This story was cute but lacked any real conflict in the relationship. Or smut.
I also had the paperback of this--which had some very strange formatting and typos/grammatical errors that may be corrected or not an issue in the ebook version.
I liked that they took trips together to Salem and Sleepy Hollow--that sounds like so much fun! I've yet to visit either place, despite being a close drive to both.
Get ready to fall into the sweet romance story of Ginger and Caden, that is filled with love and laughter as their friendship grows and develops. This story bring you in and keep you with each turn of the page as they come together to enjoy the season

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Cute and cozy and very short at 150 pages. Wouldn’t mind seeing where this story goes. Bonus points for the delicious food descriptions and autumn atmosphere. Sex scene totally rushed and romance kind of juvenile and 1-dimensional. However I’d read more from the author and the next in the series. Put me in the fall mood which is what I was looking for. 🎃
WOW!!!! What else is there to say. This was a really HOT story, and you will be missing out if you do not read it. I could not put it down it was that good!
