Lufas is on her way to meet Pollux, the twin sister of Castor. But the Goddess has plans of her own, and Pollux's powers are too tempting to pass up.
Lufas's companions continue to amuse. Sagittarius is the latest addition to the insanity, and it doesn't take long for Lufas to figure out HIS particular quirk.
The "sidequest" with the thug noble was a little more uncomfortable than the series has been so far, but it also allowed for some good development for Sei and some of his former party members. I do like his differing perspective on things, and this is often played for humor when his biggest efforts are contrasted against Lufas barely trying.
I am less involved with Luna and Terra's attempt at having a relationship. It's fine to get another perspective on the world, from the point of view of the devilfolk, but I don't really care for either of them as characters.
As always, the new layers of lore and glimpses of Lufas's original life continue to intrigue. Lufas has always been against the Goddess, for her own reasons, but those reasons have expanded as she's dug deeper and deeper into how her world really works---and the ways it's being deliberately kept suppressed.
And seeing Merak as a clueless teen was also funny.
Overall if you're liked the series so far, keep going. I rate this book Recommended.
Solid addition to the series with its entertaining over-the-top characters, and intriguing main plot and world. The arrival of Pollux, an funny character on her own, and the two devilfolk fighting their fate, certainly pushes the story forward and I am really curious where things are going. Also as expected, the side track villain is rather cringe, and the main fight lasts way too long for my taste even if it comes with its share of funny over-the-top anime violence. All in all, a fun if somewhat short read that fitted expectations.
