Soothe The Soul: Poems to soothe the soul
"Finally the tears are rolling, with the fierceness of God’s grace.Through all the pain we’ve been set free, our souls come home again." - Matt Buonocore
In Soothe The Soul, Matt Buonocore beckons the reader to see through his lens, to embark on a poetic journey of self exploration and self realization. Soothe The Soul is a two part book, with the themes of self transformation and soulmate connection being at the forefront. Part 2 of Soothe The Soul, titled The Woman Beneath My Feet is Matt’s dedication to his twin flame and partner, Alaina.
Soothe The Soul is a book of poems and affirmations to awaken the soul. Each poem provides a new vibratory experience that guides the reader towards spiritual growth. This book is my journey from awakening to the present day. The book is meant as a catalyst for spiritual growth, the goal being to ignite the fire that lies dormant. We are all called to serve, to serve ourselves and then the world. Let this be a message to all that would choose the path of service, the true path. As each fear disintegrates we walk closer to the truth of our nature, and this is my truth.
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
"I’ve been following Matt for quite a long time now, and I’ve witnessed his spirituality blossom first hand. In a world that has sadly become cynical, I have found this mans heart to be gold. His works come from the heart and although there are many books out there that have the same type of premise, this book resonated with my heart. It’s a great read as a whole, but could also be read as a page a day for a daily dose of positive vibes. Something many could use in a world that is full of stress." - Jorge
"Soothe the soul" is an amazing collection of poetry! Matt Buonocore captivates you with every poem. They're filled with a sense of hope, a sense of purpose, and the love we all strive to find. From start to finish, every poem is a gem! 5 stars! Simply mesmerizing!" - James

About the author
Matt Buonocore
54 books22 followersI'm a poet and a writer from Central New York. My work consists of affirmations, quotes and poems of the divine nature. My work tells my story, it conveys each step I’ve taken in my journey towards personal freedom. My books are dedicated to my lovely girlfriend Alaina, who helped me see my worth and grasp the meaning of unconditional love. Growing up I always felt the call to do something beyond the “norm”; to follow my heart regardless of what others told me. Beneath everything, I find myself called to put out my message and my “heart-song”. It's very easy to forget that life is completely subject to each individual choice made, and these writings helped me to grasp the potential of trusting my true self.

You can tell how devoted he is to his significant other, it's lovely. I can only hope I find someone who loves me like the author loves his partner. The love poems were my favorite, they spoke to events that happened in life, stuff that readers can also relate to, giving the reader the feeling they are not alone. There's always Hope, and there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thoughts for moments alone…
New York poet Matt Buonocore affirms his impact as a seer whose goal is ‘to provide a new vibratory experience to guide the reader toward spiritual growth.’ He has published twelve volumes to date, and after reading this newest collection of his poetry, it is likely the reader will seek his earlier collections.
Matt’s poems are gently brief, and all the more of a significant impact for the reader for their brevity – like a distillation of passing thoughts. A few examples follow:
Love is Forgiveness
Self righteous elation,
this culture has no patience.
Let’s all cut the line,
Disrespect through the nation.
Our hearts are imprisoned,
Our minds commit treason.
The sooth comes to truth,
with the key back to heaven.
The hell we’ve been living,
has been taught by the living.
Let’s teach our children
that love is forgiveness
When we Share
Our love will not falter,
we bring change together.
In truth we can claim,
a new world free of terror.
The earth can be shared,
and the surface repaired.
We have a great power,
and it will come when we share.
Moments of introspection and reflection, the poems in this book register not only in our mind, but more importantly, in our souls.

Love Poems
Just know before you start, these are love poems.
Yes love is part of who we are, part of life. But I feel these poems are more about a "specific" love and not universal love. Given that, I felt more like an intruder than a person appreciating poetry.
If you want a look into personalized experience, this is for you.

Help the Soul
This took a while to read, it didn't really resonate with me. Loved the message that it told to help the soul to heal.

I disagree with some of the thoughts expressed in this collection (minor) snd the style isn't pulling me in. So, just not s collection for me.

Again, Matt Buonocore's poems reflect hope after despair, true love after solitary loneliness. For anyone going through heartbreak or feeling a sense of being lost, these poems would lift you up. There is something very honest in their expression and they don't hold back on recognizing human frailty and not being our best selves. At times I found the themes a bit 'samey' but I just think that was just whatever I was bringing to my reading at the time. These poems are a personal journey and should be accepted as such.
