“Six weeks of utter hell had led to this. Six weeks of chasing breadcrumbs across Ljósálfar and finding nothing. Six weeks of popping in and out of Fey portals, covered in the scent of new season peaches, hungry, exhausted, desperate. Six weeks of finding Isoleth’s spies for Sofiq and meeting the terms of my agreement with Aliath… and not finding Kara. Six weeks.”

The Valkyries are riding, and Odin has woken up. War is brewing in Álfheimr, and it’s spilling over onto Earth. As if that isn’t bad enough, the Queen of the Light Fey thinks Georgia killed her only son. And revenge for a fairy is personal.

But facing off against Isoleth’s monsters isn’t the worst of Georgia’s troubles; she’s been trying to hunt down her best friend for what feels like forever without any luck. But luck is for the weak and Georgia could never be called that. Her vampire-within is old and powerful... and has just woken up.

And the Dark Shadow remembers.

Death stalks Auckland’s Nothus, and if she doesn’t get a handle on her vampire-within soon, someone else will do it for her. And his idea of dealing with a problem vampire is to call on the power of the city and turn her into dust.

As she’d say... my life sucks.

Rogue Vampire is about Gigi trying to get a handle on things and find her missing best friend. But, this may end up being a harder task than she though, and now Jett is still trying to come in between her and her mate.

This book wasn't what I thought it would be. I liked it, and I really enjoyed the heroine a lot. But, there were two things I didn't like about it. The fact that it seemed almost like Samson loved Lucinda in a romantic way and that he put her above his mate, and then the fact that Gigi was sort of putting Jett in that same situation. I felt sorry for Gigi, and I hate that she doesn't seem to get her happily ever after without coming second best.

And the second thing was it seems Gigi is super powerful, yet somehow, everyone else is more powerful than her but they want her controlled and to use her. I was really confused with all of that.

Wow! This book is action-packed right from the beginning. Gigi is a kick-ass heroine that you can't help but love. This story also helped to provide some more insight into her relationship with Lucinda, which I appreciated. And that ending... I am definitely eagerly awaiting the next installment!

*I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

I inhaled this book in a day, that's how engaging it was. I am a complete Kindred groupie, so to say that I am enjoying this series as much as I did that series is saying something. There is never anything straight forward about Nicola Claire's books, so don't expect a HEA just because it's the end of the book, she will make you work for it.
Everything is turning to s**t for Gigi but she meets it head on with her normal obstinacy. It's difficult to know who to trust in this world (apart from Samson of course), I'm still on the fence with Jett, of course Lucinda would not hurt Gigi but I'm not so sure about Michel. Even though I fell in love with him in Kindred I think he would remove anything he considers a threat and that could be Gigi and he is now Champion so the most powerful vampire.
This story takes place during the attack on the Iuntio in Paris leading to Michel and Lucinda returning to Auckland. I love the way these two series entwine and wait with baited breath for Black Dog.

Completely fell in love with Georgia in this book❤️ I now know why she acted the way she did towards Luce. I can’t wait to see what happens between her, Samson and Jett, they’re my favorite Trio 😍 you need to read this book, and when I say NEED to you need too! I promise you won’t wanna put it down. If I wasn’t working I probably would’ve finished it in a day. Dive into the dangerous world of the Nothus 😈

Without losing steam from Dark Shadow, Rogue Vampire is again a wonderfully crafted tale that I managed to finish even faster than the first two. Funnier and sassier than ever, Georgia has fast become one of my favourite literary characters and I hope to have more in common with her than just a name! She is perfectly imperfect and I will be as sad to see her story come to a close in Black Dog, as I will be excited to see how it ends.

Review again

Book is busy Lots of different things going on main character can't seem to get a break. A.m.wines always out to use her. She just wants peace. I have wanted to see what the ending is but I will probably have to wait again.

Excellent Series

I just finished reading the 3rd book in the Mixed Blessing Series and have truly enjoyed each of the 3 that I’ve finished. Nicola Claire has a flair for telling a tale that’s well worth the read time. I became immersed in the characters almost from the first. Kudos!
