Dark Psychology: The Ultimate Guide to Learn How to Analyze People, Read Body Language and Stop Being Manipulated. With Secret Techniques Against Deception, Brainwashing, Mind Control and Covert NLP

Rate this book
Has someone ever taken advantage of you for their benefit? Has someone you loved entered your life fast and then left without so much as an explanation after they took everything they could from you?
You might have been a victim of any of the fields of study that fall under dark psychology: manipulation, persuasion, deception, brainwashing, hypnosis, seduction, or even reverse psychology.
If this is the case, this is the book for you

This book describes in detail the dark arts of psychology and how harmful they can be to a person’s mental and emotional state. Psychologists have found that the perpetrators often suffer from mental illness or traumatic event in their lives that have caused them to become who they are. It might be an explanation for their criminal behavior or why they harm others.

However, that does not make the victims of their assaults feel any better. That is why this book provides information on tactics used by these people and techniques that can be used by the victims to ensure that they will never be harmed again.

Think of this book as a guide that defines dark psychology in a broader light and gives you the knowledge that is needed to survive in the world. We have to face the fact that there are people out there who will do you wrong and use you for their own pleasure and benefit — having the skills and knowledge to prepare yourself, even against the sleazy car salesman or against the stockbroker who wants to have you invest in his company.

These tactics will help you to call them out on their hidden tactics and agendas that coerce you into making decisions that you are not ready to make.

Here’s some of the information included in the book:
The hidden signals that pinpoint the beginning of criminal behavior The subtle difference between Persuasion and Manipulation How to face common situations of manipulation in real life, using dark psychology strategies that most people are unaware of Why people lie and how to learn secret tactics against deception and misleading behaviors How to use reverse psychology to get what you want (in an ethic way) Understand the power of Hypnosis and use it to turn situations to your advantage The powerful role of seduction (it has nothing to do with sex) The Brainwashing techniques used to control you and how to react to them and much much more!
Dark Psychology is a field of study that had not been given a lot of thought and research; and a lot of people are left out in the dark when it comes to protecting themselves against criminals&n

A must read!

Excellent book conveying the difference between persuasion and manipulation. I love the detailed history of the art of persuasion and the information of the tenets of manipulation. Excellent info on brainwashing and talking about how manipulation is used by criminals and psychopaths. Good info on good used of hypnosis for use in addictions like smoking. Great book to read if you have ever thought you might be too gullible and want to avoid being used and manipulated.

So I skimmed through most of this book for two reasons. The first being that the information is fairly generic and can be handled by a infographic. The second, and most importantly, was that the grammatical errors and structure of it felt off. I couldn't get past it unfortunately, however it may be something others can look past.

The information provided was adequate for a baseline level of understanding in psychology. Calling it dark psychology is a bit much as much of this stuff is used by even the most upstanding of individuals and can be subjective or objective.

Wow

I’ve been reading lots of these types of books lately but it’s scary how you really don’t notice these things until someone points them out. A very informative read about what dark psychology is and how to protect yourself when someone tries these tactics on you. The many different manifestations of this is shocking but you will be glad you have this book as a reference to see through the manipulation.

The information is decent for what it is, if not redundant as I didn't learn anything new. I found myself bored with the presentation, and the defensive techniques lacking (the title made this read seem like it'd be much more than it is). This is definitely a great introductory to the topic of dark psychology, however I was looking for a more detailed guide on actionable techniques for day-to-day interactions with toxic people.

Interesting

It's easier to protect yourself against manipulation if you understand the mechanics of how it works. Psychology is a vital subject to study.

Basic knowledge

This book was written as a unisex gender roll. However; the author slipped and it was meant for women rather then equals. Man can be manipulated too.
