I do really enjoy this series but I didn't like the way the story turned in this part of the series. It comes together at the end and makes sense but I was left with a lot of book that I was just not happy with. It was still really well written just moved a bit too slow for me.

“That wee woman brought me to my knee, and I no longer remember how to stand.”
My feelings after finishing this book! Abbey and Sloan have been through so much in their relationship, which many times you feel it is impossible to put their shattered trust and love back together.
Sloan is the ultimate Alpha Irish man, always in control, except for his heart when Abbey is involved. The man is afraid of nothing except his fear of her being hurt by his dangerous dealings in the past. As her lover, her husband, her protector, he is willing to force himself away from everything he loves and knows to keep her safe.
Abbey, has her moments of complete weakness, but pulls herself back and finds her strength and desire to fight for Sloan.
This is book 3 in the Black Irish series, I strongly recommend reading them in order!
Tricia Andersen weaves an amazing story that pulls you in as you feel the emotional struggle of both main characters.
“In my eyes, you are the most pure, most perfect, most beautiful of all angels. I am the darkest, most murderous beast living among other murderous beasts. You sit beside me, petting me, loving me like I am some normal creature. You are attacked, your beautiful feathers shredded, your precious blood spilled. If you were wise, if you could just see the danger you are in.”

WOW! How can you not love a man like that!

OMG what a fantastic book. I really enjoyed the first two books in the Black Irish series and anticipated the release of this book The Troubles by Tricia Anderson and I totally wasn't disappointed. This is the continuation of Sloan and Abbey's wonderful love story. As the title implies trouble follows Sloan and Abbey's relationship. Married, with a 4 yr. old daughter Amelia, trouble follows them to LasVegas in the form of an old enemy of Sloan's. Abbey is kidnapped and drugged along with Sloan's sister Maggie by the enemy. Sloan is forced to co-operate with the enemy to try to get Abbey and Maggie back, but instead Sloan and his friends rescue the Abbey and Maggie. While Abbey is hospitalized Sloan is very convicted, he feels that he needs to walk away and divorce Abbey and Amelia(AME) to keep them safe. Abbey is devastated! Have I caught your attention yet, you really need to read the rest of the book to find out what happens next. You will not be disappointed. The whole series is a must read in my opinion! This book deals with heartache, jealousy, re-unions, angst, relationships and love. Pick up book1 Black Irish and book2 Heartland to know the back story of Sloan and Abbey's continuing love story!

I'm trying to decide if this is the best one in the series or not. I thought the last book would be the end for this series but seems that I was wrong. After I read this one I believe that there will be another one.

Never thought that Sloane would do what he did and I had to see what was so bad that he would leave Abbey and his daughter. I will just say that I loved this story and I won't give anything away.

When happily ever is no longer an option and you have to rebuild your life, what do you do? Sloan and Abbey find that out after he decided to leave her and Ame in an attempt to keep them safe. Can he really keep them safe by abandoning them?

This book took my heart out, dangled it in front of me, and then shredded it up as I mourned the loss of true love for both Sloan and Abbey. There was action, suspense, and (thankfully) some relief all mixed into one. Great Series!
