Welcome to D/s land. Could your sex life use some new thrills? If so, here's your ticket to all those secret desires you've only confessed to your best friend in her dorm room at crops and corsets, nosebleed stilettos, leather, latex, and lambcuffs. Whether you would like to make dominance and submission (D/s) a permanent part of your relationship, are brushing up for a weekend submersion session of Lina Wertmuller films, or are simply looking for a one-spank stand, Patricia Payne—exacting dominatrix and luxurious bon vivant—will guide you through this brave new underworld. Here, she shares step-by-step instructions on how to set the mood, decorate your room, pick a proper outfit, buy the best bonds, tie the exact knot, and wield the perfect quirt. She also gives tips on avoiding disaster and embarrassment, such as preventing nasty wax stains on the Kashan, so you can keep the bon in bondage. Sex Tips From a Dominatrix contains such forbidden fruits
Hats off to a pro. This isn't the fluffy Cosmo sex stuff (except for the cheesy quiz at the beginning); it has in-depth sections on how to select a good corset, set up the boudoir, how to choose and wield a good whip... Thanks to the handy illustrations, you can learn about the variety of "yoga" positions in which to dole out pain/pleasure, and a few ways to properly and safely truss a person. My inner Girl Scout is bookmarking the sections on knot-tying for future use...??? Well, you never know.
There's a lot of How-To books out there, but none of them are as funny, sharp, and insightful as this one. Definitely in the top five must-have books on the subject. It's so well written that you'll hardly know your reading a "How to be a pervert" book.
I especially liked the thoroughness of the book. She covers everything, though briefly in places, from knot tying to yoga stretching. And the numerous illustrations make it a real pleasure to read. You could give this to you're lover and say, "Find something you want to try." They'll absolutely find something they like. And your sex life will be improved - It's a sure thing.
I read this book when it first came out. I was fascinated. You mean there’s people that would pay you to treat them like crap and they even clean your house and stuff? Where are these people how can I find them I want minions too. I mean where does one go find a henchman from these days anyway? I grew up and over the last 20 years have worked in various niches in the adult industry Including owning an adult novelties and lingerie boutique. I have had a guest spot on several Podcast as a sexpert And advisor for women in the pursuit of the elusive orgasm. I recently found the book in a box in the weirdest place ever, my mom‘s attic where I had stored a bunch of stuff after college and forgotten about. I sat down to re-read it and found it to be a lot less informative and based in reality than I had originally remembered it. However if you were wanting to just experiment and play around in the BDSM fantasy role-play, this is the book for you. I would love to know if the author has updated this book or come out with a part two with more experience under her belt. It’s a good book for starters or those curious. But if you are an experienced Dom you’re not gonna get any new information or revelations out of this book.
This book was written as if by a very angry egotistic women... granted some people are into it but i look at bdsm and that lifestyle as two people experiancing things together, giving and reciving... she writes as though its her way or the highway. *shrugs* oh well just wasnt the book for me.
