A LOVE TRIANGLE'S ALL YOU (DON'T) NEED. Itsuki Hashima, the little-sister-obsessed author whose novels feature nothing but his favorite character trope, presses on through day after frenetic day, despite all his trials and tribulations. Deadlines, love, even his own family weigh heavily upon his mind-but when his friend Haruto Fuwa (still reeling from the awful anime adaptation of his series) discusses a potential love interest, the results could shake up Itsuki's entire social life. Will peace prevail?!
I enjoyed thoroughly, personally enjoyed more than volume 2, I’d honestly give it closer to a 4.3ish but I digress. I love the antics they get up to every novel and this one was no different. The romantic aspects being introduced honestly only added to my enjoyment (as I am romance fanatic lol) and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these characters.
Short but sweet best describes this volume with good character development in it. Anyone who's been in a mixed gender group of friends definitely can resonate with the happenings in this volume.
Still continue to look forward to every new volume in this series.
Excellent volume! A lot of great scenes like the Once Upon a Time game chapter, which was hilarious, and Itsuki revealing feelings other than those toward little sisters. This series is always nice to read when I need a break from all the fantasy light novels with teenage protagonists.
It's cute and consistently enjoyable. It really hits that "group of friends" feel well. They feel real, not like tropes, which makes it pretty refreshing just to waste time with them. I'll keep reading.
The ending truly sets itself up for interesting plot developments sure to come in the future. The side story at the end provides an outlook into how our main character has become the character they are today. It was rather intriguing to read about. Hopefully we'll get some more backstory on everyone else.
This series is fantastic and just keeps getting better. Would have given it 4.5 if I could. Don't let the name keep you from reading this series if you are a fan of Japanese media. It's basically a slice of life comedy about a light novel author.
