Cobweb Dreams

Rate this book

A holiday on the Scottish isle of Mull was just the break Chloe Shepherd needed, an escape from her boring office job and her complete lack of anything resembling a social life. Romance, it seems, isn't on the cards and, although Chloe dreams of finding her soulmate she is beginning to believe love is like cobwebs — spun overnight, only to vanish in the early morning breeze.

Under sufferance, Dominic Winters makes a flying visit to Mull to check on a rental property owned by his family. He hasn't got time for this — so indulging in a holiday fling is the last thing on his mind.

A lamb stuck in a bog proves a most unexpected matchmaker and, while Mull weaves its magic, Chloe wonders whether those fragile cobwebs might be far more stubborn than she thought.

What's not to like in a Rosie Chapel story... I've not a clue as I’ve been unable to find anything I don’t love about her writing so far – whether it be Paranormal, Regency or Contemporary.

In Cobweb Dreams, Ms. Chapel steps away from her beloved Regency to bring us a Sweet, Contemporary Romance. She tells the story of Chloe, a young woman who is a bit of a loner, due to her rather lonely and insular upbringing. Lacking self-confidence, Chloe prefers her own company, that is until she crosses paths with the dishy, Duncan Winters.

If you're a fan of hallmark romances or Authors like Barbara Cartland, then Ms. Chapel is the Author for you. She writes romance which you don't often come across nowadays, one where the reader is enticed into the world she’s so cleverly woven, capturing your imagination and allowing it to run free. With the wonderfully descriptive scenes of the landscapes of the Scottish Isles and her own unique spin on romance, I was loathe to put this one down. I stayed up late... or early depending on how you view it – as I read well into the early hours, lost in the mesmerising world she’d created.

Another captivating read I'd highly recommend.
