The Bartolini Legacy trilogy:
The Prince And The Wedding Planner: A Bartolini Legacy novel, #1
By: Jennifer Faye
*REVIEW* ☆☆☆☆ I've become a fan of Jennifer Faye's simplistic warm hearted stories. The Prince And The Wedding Planner did not disappoint. This story is delightfully entertaining and charming. The premise is unique and fun, and I just love a good royal romcom. Bianca and Prince Leo are wonderful characters. Bianca is hopeful that her wedding planning business will grow tenfold once she successfully complets Princess Gia's wedding. Bianca has concerns about her heritage, but nothing stops her ambition. She is very professional and serious about her job. Any attraction she might feel toward Prince Leo must be ignored. Prince Leo is charming, intelligent and steadfast in his royal duty. He doesn't like the idea of marrying out of obligation instead of love, which he will have to do in order to become king. That is, of course, unless he finds a woman to love and be his wife before the deadline. Bianca and Prince Leo are quite adorable in close company, and I enjoyed reading their story. This was a fast read for me. In the end, it's the kind of story that will make you smile!

How many little girls dream of marrying a handsome prince when they grow up? This book is a way of vicariously living out the dream.
Bianca is a wedding planner who really does not plan of falling in love with a prince There is a part of her whose heart races when she thinks that he may be interested in her, but she realizes that it is a fairy-tale whose outcome is not likely. Prince Leo knows he is supposed to marry a woman who can help his family politically. But there is something about Bianca that he finds irresistible.
Bianca is in the middle. She is in the middle of Giselle and the Queen as a wedding planner and she is in the middle of Leo and the Queen at odds of whom he can have for a love interest. She is in over her head, but she has a pretty good head on her shoulders and can weather the storm.
This is a pretty quick read. It's cute and fun. It is a romance that many people like to fantasize about. The characters are interesting and their story keeps the book moving at a good pace. It is easy to read and engaging. This is a book that is an escape when you need a few minutes to relax and enjoy a book.

Good book. Bianca's life has been upended. Her parents' recent death left her and her brother and sister reeling. The terms of their parents' will state that the sibling whose business prospers most will inherit, pitting the siblings against each other. Then Bianca discovers an entry in her mother's journal, revealing that one of the siblings is the product of an affair. Bianca, who frequently feels out of step with her family, believes that she is the one. All three agree that a DNA test is the only way to know for sure.
Meanwhile, Bianca is determined to grow her wedding planning business. While working at her most recent wedding, Bianca meets Prince Leo, who asks her to assist in the planning of his sister's wedding. Doing well at this wedding would give her business a tremendous boost.
I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Bianca and Leo develop. There were sparks between them from the moment they met. Leo whisks Bianca away to his home, counting on her to help bridge the gap between his sister and his mother's ideas of the perfect wedding. He also hopes to get to know Bianca better. But Leo is caught between a rock and a hard place. To become king, he must be married, something he has been putting off. To gain his mother's cooperation in working with Bianca, he agrees to pick a bride by Giselle's wedding, or his mother will choose one for him. Leo doesn't want a political marriage; he wants one like his sister's. He can't stop thinking about Bianca and finds any excuse to spend time with her.
Bianca is equally attracted to Leo, but with her possibly questionable heritage, she is sure that a fairy-tale ending is not possible. That doesn't stop her from dreaming. There are some sweet scenes between the two of them walking in the garden, private dinners disguised as business, and my favorite, a hot-air balloon ride. I loved seeing Leo able to share his deepest secret with Bianca and how she helped him see it in a new way. I liked seeing Leo realize the depth of his feelings for Bianca and wanted to shake him when he allowed her fears to send her running. He redeemed himself quite nicely, standing up to those who might come between them. His big moment at the end was fantastic.
The secondary characters were terrific too. Bianca's brother and sister were equally devastated by the loss of their parents and the questions raised by their mother's journal. Even so, they were steadfast in their support of Bianca. I loved seeing them close ranks around Bianca after her return, and their protectiveness when Leo came looking for her. On Leo's side, I loved his sister Giselle. She clearly adores her big brother and worries about him even amid her own happiness. She is strong-willed, which enables her to stand up to her mother in defense of her preferences. The queen was hard to like at first. Her strict adherence to tradition and her attitude toward Bianca made me wonder how anything would get done. I also didn't like the way she manipulated Leo into picking a wife. I did soften toward her at the end when Leo talked to her about his father and Bianca.
Even though I am not a fan of stories about royalty, I knew if anyone could convert me , it would be this author. Sure enough , she did. Bianca Bartolini is a young Italian wedding planner whose first solo wedding is for a very wealthy couple. There she meets one of the groom’s best friends, Prince Leo. The attraction is instantaneous, but each one is dealing with personal issues. After her parents death, she’s not sure she’s a Bartolini, and she certainly has no royal blood in her. In the meantime, Prince Leo is expected to find a bride by the end of the year. An ancient decree he needs to follow in order to become King. In addition to this, his sister is about to get married , and Leo wants to give her the wedding of her dreams, NOT that of his mother. With that intent , he hires Bianca. From thereon, life gets complicated for both of them. This is an engaging story about fears, concerns, family, duty and of course, romance. Another entertaining story by this talented author. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I love Jennifer Faye’s books and The Prince and the Wedding Planner is no different. This first installment from her new series, The Bartolini Legacy, has an interesting plot and twist. I love stories of a couple from two different worlds falling in love. It is almost always predictable but so delightful. I love it!
I am giving The Prince and the Wedding Planner five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy a quick, heartwarming and sweet romance.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
This is the first book in a new series by Jennifer Faye and it promises to be quite a wonderful series based on this book. I enjoy reading books that take me to a world I'll never inhabit, one where I'm pursued by a royal and siblings who may or may not be an actual sibling. I currently have no plans to become a wedding planner. Bianca Bartolini is involved in the above, I admired her for what she was facing and how she dealt with it all.
I'm not normally a fan of insta-love but in this book, it was natural for the wedding planner to meet the groom's best friend at a wedding that she has planned, and you guessed it, there is an instant attraction. Prince Leo is the best friend who is expected to marry by the end so what does he do? He hires Bianca tp plan a wedding, but for his sister who is actually getting married. It's a good premise because it's the perfect way for Bianca to meet his family and for the two of them to become better acquainted with each other.
Overall, I thought this is an engaging story with charming characters and the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon or week-end getting lost in a book. Thank you to Prism and the author for the complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
Bianca, Gia and her brother are shocked to learn one of them is illegitimate. Bianca, read the notes in her mother's diary and know all are wondering which of the siblings is really not a Bartolini?
They know they will have to have a DNA test for the results but the fact that the stipulation in the will is that whoever can generate the most income will get the families estate.
Bianca is a wedding planner and is working at one when Leo, the Prince has decided to attend his friends' wedding. He is taken back with Bianca and feels she would be perfect to help plan his sisters up and coming wedding. Giselle is thrilled as she seems to be battling constantly with her mother about the wedding plans.
Bianca agrees if he will help her wedding planner business with some advertisements to increase her business and be the rich sibling. When she seems to be around Crown Prince, Leo, she seems to be taken back by how handsome he is. When he asks for meetings to keep him updated they both seem to be playing with fire.
Once Giselle is married Crown Prince Leo, must announce his engagement shortly after so he can become King and take over all the official duties.
His mother has gone over many women she feels would be suitable and from excellent backgrounds and wants him to pick one for his bridge. Although Leo truly tries his mind keeps going back to Bianca.
Can a wedding planner and a Prince life happily ever after? You will have to read Ms. Faye book to find out. A very enjoyable read.
The first in a new series by Ms. Faye in The Bartolini Legacy.. It was truly lovely. Bianca Bartolini is busy during her duties at the wedding since she is the planner of said wedding. When Crown Price Leo approaches her to hire her to help with his sisters wedding. It won’t be easy. The queen aka his mother already has a wedding planner in place, but his sister Giselle isn’t very happy. All he wants is to make everyone happy on the happiest day of his sisters life. But his sister and mother can’t see eye to eye.
Leo has duties and is to be crowned King of Patazonia...he approaches his mother about hearing Bianca out, however he must announce his engagement after his sisters wedding. That is the deal.
The time he spends with Bianca furthers him away from his duties. When his mother finds out she’s none too pleased, and calls him out on it.
One of my favorite scenes is when his mother the queen sees her son with Bianca. She basically tells him “he’s a fool, and she didn’t raise a fool.”
Buy the book to see what happens. So much more to come. This book is filled with heart, laughter, and so much more. Looking forward to the next books in this series in The Bartolini Legacy.
The Prince and The Wedding Planner begins The Bartolini Legacy with a heartfelt romance that has all the emotions, feel-good moments, and a Royal falling for a commoner that any romance reader could wish for.
Bianca and her siblings are facing their parents’ deaths with startling revelations from their mother’s journal – one of her children is the result of an affair, but which one and who is the father are questions left unanswered. Of course, a DNA test is now necessary but while that is one huge bombshell there is another as their father’s will states that only the sibling that grows their individual business the most profit-wise will inherit the family estate. Talk about being hit with hard facts over and over. All of the siblings are close and the competition between them is unwanted but also now necessary. And waiting for the DNA test results is going to be beyond emotional.
Bianca is a wedding planner, and this particular wedding will bring more than just the happy couple together – it’s going to bring a man who would be king into her life, and then it all gets complicated.
Prince Leo must marry within a certain timeframe in order to become king. His mother has a list of suitable ladies who would be politically advantageous to their country. Leo wants to marry for love like his sister is… if she and their mother can ever agree on the type of wedding Giselle will be having.
There is an instant attraction to Bianca, the wedding planner for a friend’s wedding. Not only is she lovely but she could also help his sister plan her own wedding or at least help against his mother’s interference. Leo will ask Bianca to take on that job which she agrees to in exchange for some publicity to help her own business.
Now Bianca is between a rock and a hard place… and so is Leo. Both are falling in love yet both have issues surrounding them that will make being together for life a hard-fought battle. Bianca’s heritage, her non-royal blood, her standing up to the Queen on Giselle’s behalf haven’t won Leo’s mother’s best wishes. Leo must marry and he wants Bianca as his bride but he’s going to have to fight hard and fast to make that happen.
I enjoyed The Prince and The Wedding Planner very much. Watching two unlikely people fall in love against all odds and find their happy ending was an emotional journey. There are complications in this love story yet watching them each overcome them, and standing up for what they, and they alone, truly want was a true delight. I had fun here, and since I’ve already purchased the remainder of the series I’m going to be doing some binge-reading soon.
I own a Kindle edition of The Prince and The Wedding Planner.
Thank you in advance to the author, Jennifer Faye and Prism Book Tours for providing a complimentary review copy. A positive review was not required. All words and thoughts are my own.
While I’m not new to the Harlequin books, this is somewhat of a re-introduction to the Romance line. It is definitely my first introduction to the author.
This isn’t a clean read due to the fact of a one-time off-screen (or not depicted in the book) sexual encounter. Still, I found the book clean enough for myself. There is no foul language, and there are no Christian themes to it.
This is the first in what looks to be a trio of the Bartolini Legacy. The Bartolinis are a trio of siblings (Gia, Enzo, and Biance) from Italy whose parents have been killed.
This is Bianca’s story.
It begins with a funeral and then a wedding. Talk about a contrast. Still, the Bartolinis are now shaken by a secret their mother was hiding from them – one that puts their futures on the line.
While trying to make sense of it, Bianca is asked to be a wedding planner – that is no surprise she is one. But, this is no ordinary wedding, it is the wedding sister of Prince (soon to be King) Leopold, and Leo has drafted Bianca to settle the rift between the Princess (his sister) and their mother the Queen. And, Bianca’s job isn’t going to be easy, especially with her family’s name in question.
This was a sweet, fun, and whirlwind read. I didn’t even know it was over until I got to the last page. The author’s vivid writing brought the scenery to life. Bianca and Leo were such a perfect couple, and it was easy to see where the novel was going.
The romance element was absolute perfection – walks in the garden, private dinners, even a balloon ride. It wasn’t a sizzle, out of control romance’ so much as a comforting campfire type of romance. And, again … all with a Prince!
Leo was definitely believable as a royal prince – and a more modern one at that. I enjoyed his calm, yet commanding demeanor. His romance skills were off the chart.
There is enough drama to balance everything out as well.
This is a standard “happy ending” novel. Readers will be happy to learn that another royal wedding planner will be needed. Of course, this is also a “to be continued …” as well. The second book, is to be released this June. The readers will have to read that one as it details the results of the DNA test.
The author does a terrific job of keeping the pace going for the romance. This short, but addictive little read is the perfect beach day or even rainy day read.
Can a commoner and a royal make a love match? In a small country we have a prince, Leo, who is in need of a wife and soon. He needs to take the throne and to do that he must marry. As he is also trying to keep the peace in the palace between his sister and his mother, he has hired Bianca Bartolini as his sister's wedding planner.
After some tragic circumstances and devastating news that affects Bianca and her brother and sister, she must now prove she can make it as a wedding planner and to open her home's Italian vineyard up for a wedding venue. Planning Prince Leo's sister's wedding is just the break that could make her business skyrocket.
This was a sweet romance that took you out of everyday life and into a life of royalty. Which certainly is no picnic at times but there is definately some advantages. Leo and Bianca instantly hit it off and of course there is an immediate attraction. What follows is should they or shouldn't they follow their hearts desire and go against expectations or after his sister's wedding go their own separate ways.
I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
An unexpected romance develops in Jennifer Faye’s The Prince and the Wedding Planner, the first of her Bartolini Legacy trilogy, and it is so fun.
When she catches Crown Prince Leo’s eye, Bianca Bartolini becomes swept up in the drama of planning a royal wedding. It is no easy feat navigating the wishes of the bride and the queen—and Leo, too. Add in the complication that Leo has a deadline for determining the person he will marry in order to become king. He cannot deny his attraction to Bianca, but can she handle the royal expectations?
I always enjoy a romance from Faye. Falling in love with a prince is a traditional childhood fantasy, and I enjoyed seeing the drama of that fantasy playing out on the pages of The Prince and the Wedding Planner. I found it easy to root for Bianca and Leo, despite the unlikeliness of their match, and look forward to seeing the other stories this trilogy will deliver.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
When Bianca's parents are killed in an accident, she and her siblings find her mother's journal with a family secret. After the reading of the will, their parents initiated a contest that the sibling who brings in the most revenue to the family vineyard will take control. With her inheritance on the line, Bianca needs the royal wedding to go smoothly. However, when she meets the bride's brother who is also a prince, her plans for a smooth wedding go out the door. Prince Leo is also set to announce his engagement in a few weeks. But, he can't seem to get Bianca out of his mind.
I have read a few of Jennifer's books and have enjoyed this one. I did like this book but, I wish it had more details added to the story. I was disappointed that we didn't get to find out the results of the DNA test. I am guessing this will be a segway into the next book in the series. I was surprised that more details about the royal wedding weren't given especially since Bianca was planning it for more than half of the book. Overall, it was a quick read and I can't wait to read the rest of the novels.
Do you know what I hate about starting a new series? While the HEA is given, there are still some loose threads that aren't resolved and now, I wait impatiently for the next book. Grrr...But I forgive Ms. Faye. She has written a great book with characters that I actually liked. Plus, the loose thread is a real doozy. And yes, Bianca doesn't need the distraction of Leo but it sure is nice.
What Ms. Faye brings to the table this time is her ability to make royalty feel like everyday people. They have trouble with parents, resentment towards a parent that has died and the repercussions with the death of the parent. Plus, trying to please a sibling while keeping the peace. It's tall order but Leo manages it. Not to mention wooing Bianca. Bianca, on the other hand, is dealing with your siblings and the death of their parents. Their will is tied to the thread that will be around throughout the series. I feel really bad for Bianca in the beginning. Finding the diary and then the whole will reading...and then getting the wedding of the year to plan? Wow. Just wow.
I loved Leo and Bianca as a couple. They are sweet together and compliment each other. There is a bit of a communication problem for a time but Ms. Faye doesn't drag it out and they hash it out like adults. Bianca needs a little more convincing about the relationship and I completely understand her concerns. She has so much riding on Leo's sister's wedding and then dealing with the unknown at home and with her siblings, that would send anyone not wanting a relationship.
I can't wait to read the other two books in the series. I will miss the Queen and how she deals with Bianca and Leo's relationship but upward and onward. Again, Ms. Faye has written a beautiful book about two characters that you will like and want to keep in touch with. I just wish I didn't have to wait.
The story opens with an Italian family's loss of their parents and the decision to what happens next is being held up with the question of an affair and DNA testing. Life goes on and one sibling, Bianca, has left working for an established wedding planner to start her own wedding planning business. At a wedding she's working, Bianca meets a prince who on the spur of the moment hires her to work with his sister and his mother as they plan his sister's wedding. Of course, Bianca and the prince fall in love. The story ends happily but with no answer to the DNA question. I gave this book three stars as I'm not a fan of cliffhangers and waiting for more books in the series to follow to find out the answer to the biggest question.
Great start to a new series! Bianca Bartolini's parents have died and in the will they pitted one sibling against the other for the vast Bartolini Estate. But Bianca found her Mom's journal and stumbled on a secret, she had had an affair and one of the siblings was not a Bartolini! So DNA tests are done and they all go about their lives. Bianca is a wedding planner and that is where she meets Prince Leo. He needed a getaway from things at home and is taken with Bianca immediately. He hired her on the spot to help plan his sister's upcoming wedding. The only problem with that is the Queen is bound and determined to have the last say on how it will be done. Bianca and Leo get closer each and every day and Giselle loves having someone in her corner that will go to great lengths to give her the wedding she wants. The Queen tells Leo he will have to announce his engagement the day after Giselle's wedding, or she will pick a bride for him. Every one she sets up for him is lacking and doesn't hold a candle to Bianca. When he realized she is the only one he wants to marry, will be be too late?
I really enjoyed this romance. I received this book free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. It's fairly clean and shouldn't be for under 16 year olds or under, readers. Lots to enjoy in this royal romance and shares some of the responsibilities that royals have.
I’m happy with the happily ever after, of course. I can’t help but wonder, since she is a wedding planner and she clearly love her job, would they have gotten married? I doubt her royal duties will spare her any time to plan others‘ wedding.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I really enjoyed this story with it's mix of royalty, weddings, and good pacing. It was a fun read with a very happy ending. Also a great start to a series, which I'm keen to read more of.
I just love that Jennifer has found her nitch and she writes wonderful romance books. Her books flow so good and right from the the first few pages you are so hooked on the story that you just can't put the book down. Jennifer has hit a grand slam with this book!
A sweet connection! With the first book in her brand new The Bartolini Legacy series, Jennifer Faye takes us for a thrilling ride in THE PRINCE AND THE WEDDING PLANNER. He's a Prince, she's a commoner ... but they can't resist each other!
Bianca pulls our heartstrings with her family disconnect and hope that this job will be just the thing to put her wedding planning business on her family's vineyard on the map. She never expects to be drawn to the prince who arranges her services for his sister.
Crown Prince Leopold is due to take a bride and assume the role of King any day now, but he can't find a woman who measures up to Bianca no matter how much he searches. Could he dare break protocol and marry a non-royal?
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a dash of royal romance mixed in with a touch of family drama that is going to carry forward through the series. The characters were easy to connect with and I enjoyed getting to know them. Looking forward to more!
I fell in love with this modern day fairy tale of a wedding planner and her prince. The story was fun and romantic as Bianca Bartolini planned Giselle's wedding after the Princess and the Queen were disagreeing over everything and so her brother, Prince Leopold stepped in to help after he had met the wedding planner at a friend's wedding. I enjoyed the compromises Prince Leo had to make the Queen for her to agree to let him hire Bianca.
I also enjoyed the beautiful image of the country of Patazonia and the castle with all of its secret passageways. The only part I did not like was the cliff hanger. I want to know what the DNA results were for the Bartolini siblings but I am sure that is in the next book in the series so I will just have to wait. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I absolutely adored this book by Jennifer. This one kicks off the Bartolini Legacy series and I can’t wait to read the next one! Bianca was such a fabulous, no nonsense woman who absolutely captivated me and Prince Leo from the first page. The subplots running through the book made for an enthralling journey and sets up the next book beautifully.
The Prince and the Wedding Planner is the start of a new series, The Bartolini Legacy, by Jennifer Faye. I loved, loved, loved this story and can’t wait to read what comes next.
You are gonna LOVE Leo! I know I did. The book begins with him trying to help his sister and mother negotiate his sister’s wedding planning – trying to keep the peace between the two warring women in his life! – and it just warmed my heart. He is attending a wedding of a friend is intrigued by the cool as a cucumber wedding planner, Bianca. Let the fireworks begin!
Bianca Bartolini and her family have just undergone a life-changing event and she is hurting. She is one of three siblings (that would be the stories about the Bartolini Legacy) and the over-arching story is about what has happened to them and then what comes next. I love all three of them, too, and even though they are well-off financially, they still have all the problems we mere mortals have. But they are family, the greatest tie-in of all.
Crown Prince Leopold of Patazonia is hurting, too, but he is trying to keep his own family together while finding a “suitable” wife so that he may assume the mantle of leadership of his country. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I will say that his mother is…let’s say…difficult. And I use the term loosely. Every one of these characters has reason to act as they do and that in turn makes the story.
I was NOT happy to finish because that meant there was no more to read. Seriously, wonderfully heartwarming love story. **Heart Sighs** Can’t wait for the next book!
This is the first book in a new trilogy by Jennifer Faye. As you read the book the way everything is described makes you feel as if you are there. Leo is soon to be king and Bianca is the wedding planner he has hired for his sister's wedding. He must choose a candidate to marry and announce his engagement by the end of his sisters wedding. He realizes he doesn't want a candidate he wants Bianca. At the same time Bianca is also going through problems with her family but she grows closer to Leo. This is a fast paced book and even though parts are to be continued in the next book it doesn't ruin this story.
I'm always excited when Jennifer Faye starts a new series. She writes relatable characters and vivid locations you want to visit. Bianca is facing an uncertain future when Prince Leo hires her to plan a wedding, but Leo has ulterior motives: he's drawn to the quiet, hard-working Bianca. Spending time together creates a bond that neither of them is prepared for, but if they can embrace it, they can each get what they want. I read an advanced copy of this book
What an enjoyable read! A great start to a new series by a very talented author. You won't be disappointed. The characters are amazing and have wonderful connections and interactions throughout. The story line is well written and impossible to put down. Don't miss this book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
I always love books by this author. Even though the world in which the heroine finds herself seems unrealistic for a mere mortal like me, I love getting carried into that world by the author and always find the characers engaging and real. The hero and heroine are always smart and honest with one another - and always end up with the happy ending. Hooray. And the promise of future books in the Bartolini series. Again... hooray. I look forwarad to the coming stories - and finding out what the DNA test is going to reveal to Bianca, Gia and Enzo.
Another wonderful story by Jennifer Faye! Bianca and Leo are great characters, and I loved the way they interacted. They are both dealing with issues that life has thrown at them, and they are coping the best way they can. The story was fast paced and had me turning the pages, devouring every word. I highly recommend this book, and I can't wait for the next one!
