Klawde is not your basic cat. He's an emperor from another planet, exiled to Earth. He's cruel. He's cunning. He's brilliant... and he's also Raj Banerjee's best friend.

In book three of this series, Klawde faces a challenger he never imagined: a dog, who has arrived on Earth to settle the intergalactic score. He's hyper, he's loyal, he's an all-around-good boy, and he's here to bring Klawde to justice. Can our ferocious feline evade the long paw of the law?

Raj, on the other hand, is faced with his own out-of-town visitor who, although from Earth, may prove to be even more formidable: his grandmother. When she plans a birthday party Raj doesn't want, will he survive the embarrassment?

You know if Lyttyrboks is the planet of all cats, there's got to be an all-dog planet.

And that Klawde once blew up one of their planets. Yep.

When the Pack of United Planets Peacekeeping Service (PUPPS) pinpoints Klawde's location on Earth, they send Comrade Barx to bring him to justice.

Barx shows up a stray on Raj's doorstep -- and it's WAR -- but this time, over Raj's heart.

In the process, Klawde manages to score some public relations points at home, on Lyttyrboks, against the evil she-kitten who's taken over his warlord throne. Will he finally get home, to rule on his own terms?

No, I'm not going to spoil the ending. It was super-duper cute.

And there's a 4th book coming out soon, so ... read up!

Raj's parents are off to Hawaii and his ajji (grandmother) has come to stay bringing along a rescue dog she's fostering. Raj is worried that whatever social standing he had will be gone by the end of ajji's stay as she packs delicious Indian dishes that stink up the entire cafeteria at school. Even worse, she is trying to invite his whole grade to a birthday party for him where she'll serve all Indian food! He's doomed. While Raj is slowly dying socially, Klawde is being retrieved by the Pack of United Planets Peacekeeping Service (PUPPS) to be tried for his crimes. Comrade Muffee is sent to Earth to get him. But there's a problem. If Klawde has been claimed by a human, Comrade Muffee must get permission from his human to take him. Muffee has to figure out a way to get in good with Raj to get his permission to take Klawde. Klawde knows about Muffee's efforts, but is enjoying the benefits of a new camera that Raj got from his parents as an early birthday present and is using it to send videos of himself tormenting dogs to reinstate his popularity on Lyttyrboks. He's sure rescue from Lyttyrboks is imminent and he'll be free from Earth and reckoning with PUPPS any time now.

I liked this one much better than the 2nd Klawde book, though not quite as much as the 1st. It is good to see Raj wrestle with being himself, including food he loves, with his peers. I felt like there was some good progress for him in accepting his jumble of cultural identities. Ajji is hilarious, especially her remodeling of the kitchen and her treatment of the animals. Muffee is a golden retriever and reminds me a bit of Doug in the movie Up though with a little bit more brains. He's a likable new character. Klawde is being his narcissistic self, but he has his moments. And he's definitely entertaining. Hand this to reluctant readers, scifi fans, those looking for Indian Americans in their books, and animal lovers.

A space dog comes to bring Klawde back to his planet to be punished for a crime. The dog, who Raj calls Roscoe, is so kind and wanting to please Raj that Klawde thinks it's all a joke. Until Klawde is ready to go back to his own planet and there's a force field stopping the ship from picking him up....could the dog be responsible for it? Surely he isn't that clever thinks Klawde. The two fight like cats and dogs while Raj gets more and more attached to the dog. Raj's parents are out of town and his grandmother is watching him. This means true Indain cuisine....even in his lunch which embarasses Raj. Then his grandmother decides to have an Indian dinner for his birthday and invite all his friends....even the ones that aren't really his friends. Oh, and Raj and his two good friends start a lawn care business to raise money. So Raj is very busy with all the changes in his life.

I read this book with my two boys (2nd & 3rd grade), but we’ve been reading the series for 2 years now. This is our 3rd Klawde book in this series and it is just as funny as the first. The returning characters continue to grow in each book & the new characters do not disappoint. The author’s sense of humor is spot on for both kids and adults and the way the author really understands the minds of cats vs. dogs is perfect. I highly recommend this series for kids ages 7-11 years old. You could also read it with any children younger than that, but I found myself explaining some of the jokes and play on words to my younger one. Either way all of the books in this series have us doubled over in laughter on a regular basis.

This was a fun series for my son and I to read together. The additional character of Barx added a fun element to this book. Klawde still trying to return to home planet and all the craziness was very entertaining. This book was more about the relationship between Klawde and Raj, and less about Raj's school life. My son asked, where is Cameron? I wondered as well, maybe we read the books out of sequence, but this book included the Calico cat Klawde trained...great series though, wish there was another one.

Third in the Klawde series - this one introduces us to a dog - which makes for some hilarious interactions with Klawde, but our favorite parts were with the grandmother! My kids love this series - we listen to it on Audible and the readers are great! Highly recommend.

This is a fun series to read with my 4th grader. He says that there's not as much action in this installment, but there was still plenty of humor to make him laugh!

Another amazing book from this series! The illustrations really bring an already animated story to life. I greatly appreciate the lessons being taught throughout the series and especially in this book. The humor is always top-notch as well. Can't wait to read more from these creators.

A continuation, but now with an alien dog who can talk. Boy, does that cause problems. This book has super cute illustrations that help the story along. I really liked that the alien dog loved to fetch balls. The boy, Raj, gets exhausted throwing the ball.

I love Klawde! This time, while plotting to get back and return to the leadership of Littyrbocks, he gets caught confessing to the DOGS. Not a good thing to his future subjects.

I love how each scene has two points-of-view--Klawde's and someone else. It's funny. Sometimes outrageous. But Klawde remains Klawde through it all. This time Klawde is being hunted by a secret agent dog who Raj falls in love with. He is wanted for harming a dog but Klawde figures it was all in the war between dogs and cats and he owes nobody nothing. The dogs feel differently. Raj is torn between the two. The cats see something totally outside the realm of possibility for them. I loved it all!

I look forward to the next book.

Jester's thoughts.
Mighty Wyss-Kuzz, Master of Three Species, is back and is still trying to conquer Lyttyrboks.

I love every moment of it. I enjoy reading about the new character. I must also compliment PUPPS on their fair justice system. Serves Klawde right for blowing up a planet. An is an acceptable form of punishment for a warlord cat. He even called Raj a friend by the end of the story.

Note: Using new rating system starting 2025.

Klawde is a great series. It’s very funny and cool, like when his enemy Barx saved him from being scolded badly, but Klawde thought that his loyalist saved him.
