A lowly child beggar, a noble prince, a monster viewed as the enemy of the entire world. If you possess all three identities at the same time, which identity would you choose to help you earn a better ending? Thales did not have the answer. He only knew that he came to a different and magnificent world, and he had to face a future that was as difficult to handle as a nightmare. The glorious Empire had already been destroyed for one thousand years, the dying royal family suffered many problems, the legendary sacred battle had plenty of conspiracies, the divided world was in chaos. But Thales had nothing. The only thing he had left was an unswerving determination to preserve his own identity, bravery which would allow him to survive in a perilous situation, and a belief that he would never submit to principles he did not believe. “A King does not gain respect by virtue of his bloodline. The bloodline's glory rests on the deeds of the King.” Darkness will baptize light. Fire will create true steel. The forbidden prince’s story starts here.
This book is for anyone who likes political intrigues with magic and dragons. The author has build a really amazing world filled with rich culture. The politics and scheming in this book is done wonderfully, as every right word spoken by the characters seem to be a matter of life and death in this game of politics.
I do not understand authors that are the antagonists (main antagonists) of their written works. They do anything and everything to brutalize, torture, harass their main character above and beyond what can be tolerated. Without any ethical/moral compass, with deep sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies, the dystopian/apocalyptic world that this author creates where drunk grown men beat 5-15 year old kids to death (crushing their skulls, strangling them, breaking their legs, etc.) There is no imagination here (at all). To describe a "reality" so close to the macabre reality world that we live in today (where children are sexually assaulted, their organs trafficked, their parents sell them off like if they were second-hand appliances at a pawn shop, or they are brutally butchered...happens everyday in the World today). It is disloyal to use one's creation as "targets"/meat shields/tortured souls. Fiction is not supposed to be non-fiction. If one wants to read what is going on in the "real world", all one has to do is see the news, listen to the radio news, or read the newspapers/magazines. Is it creative and or "rich" world-building to describe all the gore, the violence, and the human suffering?? What happened to "human decency"? Is that not possible even in a fictional-fantasy world? Obscenity is not just "porn", it is also extreme violence. Violence doesn't have to be overly-graphic to "impress". To create a "nightmare of a world" for the main character Thale, just so that readers can then remember that the main character came from "humble beginnings" before he became Prince, and then King and then more??? I would recommend that this author seek therapy, psychiatric. There is something about "anonymous" authors that use nicknames, pen-names, instead of becoming responsible and accountable for their written works. I do not recommend this web novel/book series.
I don't know if it was fortunate or unfortunate, but you, dear reader, can decide after hearing my story. In 2020, I discovered Reverend Insanity as the first web novel I've ever read. Then, in less than a year, I finished Lord of Mysteries. And also within a year after completing the latter, I stumbled upon this MASTERPIECE! Everything I've ever desired in a piece of fiction, I found in this experience. I'm at a loss for what to call it—One of a kind? Once in a lifetime? Or an otherworldly experience? Honestly, human language hasn't evolved enough to adequately describe the magnificence of this MASTERPIECE. Prepare yourself for an experience far greater than Lord of Mysteries and Reverend Insanity. And to resonate with you, it surpasses the likes of Song of Ice and Fire, The Stormlight Archive, and every other book you've held in higher regard! After reading the novel come and end my misery and tell me was I fortunate or unfortunate as a beginner? I cannot really tell.
One of the Greatest Novels I have ever read. 10/10
A lot of characters could even become the main character of their own novels with how well they're written here they also have entire chapters without the MC involved and they have their own thought processes and reasons behind their actions..
The characters feel human and they have an appropiate amount of depth. Not to mention the depth of the worldbuilding, character interactions, schemes, politics ( The best politics you will ever see with no comparison ), etc. All of it is phenomenal.
This novel has a lot of mysteries that keeps you wondering the entire time your reading but whenever you get a reveal believe me its worth it.
If your getting tired of novels that are plain and thinks that you can't think by yourself read this novel.
I have long forgotten how it feels to not activate suspension of disbelief machine to the max when reading books. And this author managed to give me this priceless experience.
Incredibly detailed world-building, filled with geography, history, cultures, politics and religions. With many characters with different personalities, thought process, goals and ambitions. With complicated plot with numerous twists, and everything happening being connected to the bigger picture.
And all of this is logical, believable and immersive. Reading this was just a pure joy.
